The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

Newly renovated, beautiful rooms and wonderful staff
Hotel right on the highway, very noisy room, we could'nt sleep.... no mini bar, no menu in the room for room service. It was our first and last time at this hotel.

There was no indication when I made the reservation that the hotel was under renovation. It was supposed to only from 8:00 to 5:30 but they started between 5:30 and 6:00. They should have closed the hotel and not had guests there. The staff was good considering the grief they were rightfully getting from the customers.

This hotel was under renovation that was supposed to be only from 8:00 - 4:30 but they started at 5:30 - 6:00. the hotel badly needs the renovation but should have been shut during the construction. The staff were gracious given the conditions they were working under with upset customers.

Our stay there was the very best. Staff were very helpful. The hotel is undergoing renovations, we do understand that things need to be maintained. The hotel apologized for any convenience, and gave each one of us a coupon for a free pizza. The only thing is the hotel rugs could of been a little cleaner. "honest hotel personel"
Attended Tops convention at hotel and forgot to pick up shoes under the bed. Called back 1 week later and the hosekeeping dept. had them and were able to recover shoes. Nice to know people are good enough to check and help find lost items. Rest of staff helpful too. Thanks Rosalind - housekeeping

"Badly in need of renovations"
Holiday Inn Pointe Claire is badly in need of renovations. Check in was fine, and when we took the elevator to the 15th floor, the door wouldn't open. We had to push the button to make the door open. On other elevator trips, there were loud thumps, and the elevator was shaky, like when I was sitting in a large jet taxiing down a bumpy runway. We wanted […] to get something to eat in the restaurant, but it was closed. We did have a drink in the bar, and the bartender said we could order food to eat in the bar. The room was ok, but the bathroom floor grout needs cleaning! In places along the tub side, the grout was missing. We stayed at another hotel located on the hwy 40, and even though our room faced the highway, there wasn't too much noise. At this hotel, it was very noisy. Maybe it's just not insulated very well. For the second time in my 51 years of life, I woke up with pain in my hips. I suspect that the mattress is as old as the hotel. Even my husband did not sleep well, which is rare! "Excellent price, recently renovated,would recommed"
Five stars all around, the hotel was clean, good service, and for those concerned with renovations: they are complete and nothing to worry about. We experienced no problems during our stay and would recommend it to anyone. The Holiday Inn in Pointe Claire was an easy choice for us because it is close to family but for those who want to experience Montreal, […] please note you are a good 20 minute drive from downtown. (It is close to the airport) The surrounding area is suburbian in nature; again if you want to experience all that Montreal has to offer, I would recommend a place closer to downtown unless you feel comfortable driving or taking public transit (which is very good in Montreal). "Most disappointing hotel stay for us, yet"
So my husband and I were in Montreal for a day trip. We booked Holiday Inn, on the booking agents recommendation going over our budget expecting better experience than what we encountered. They are renovating the hotel. The hotel and the rooms have 1960's feel. Everything is old, dirty or broken. I would not recommend for any one to stay at the hotel […] until unless they ensure that the hotel has been fully renovated and is worthy of staying in. Read more
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel although the hotel being in total renovations was not as appealing as it will be some time from now. Our room, a little dated was very clean, and the staff was most pleasant and courteous. We recommend it if you can put up with the renovations. A big plus - free parking at the rear of the hotel.
Hotel under 1 yr renovation. The construction work started at 8:30AM, drilling and hammering, continuing to 5PM, resulting in notbeing able to occupy our room. One of 3 elevators reserved for construction workers. Indoor pool was stone cold, hot tub had half the jets working. Walkways in the hotel hazardous, (several cables and extension cords unsafe […] for walking and filthy. Lack of parking due to construction equipment on site. "Pleasant Stay!"
Hi: I always like Holiday Inn anywhere in US, Canada. I liked this hotel too, except the location was a little farther from Downtown. Regards..
All was fine except trying to send or receive phone messages. ALL instructions on the phone were in French. I have no issue with this but why is there not a press 1 if you want English. I never did figure out how to leave a message with our friend and it took me ages to press the correct buttons to receive a message.

The room was clean and comfortable, but outdated and in need of a makeover. No bar fridge, no fan in bathroom, odd-sized tiny little pillows, and even though we were on the 15th floor, the noise from the traffic on the Trans Canada Highwy was very loud. "Utility Hotel in West Island"
This hotel is nothing to write home about, but if you need to be in the West Island area it's just fine. It's a bit dated and the views are of the Trans-Canada Highway. But the Rooms are large and comfortable.

L'accueil à été parfais et la chambre était très bien aussi. Très bon service et bien situé près de l'aéroport. Comme points négatif, une petite bouteille de shampoing pour trois n'était pas tout a fait suffisant et 2 rouleaux de papier de toilettes presque fini n'était pas assez et aucun rouleau supplémentaire pour les remplacer.
