We loved our stay here. The location couldn't have been better. The room was quiet at night but you didn't have to walk far to find some fun. Breakfast was also very good. During our trip we stayed in hotels in both Brussels and France, and this one beat them both hands down. We also loved the city of Ghent and recommend it, but i guess that's a different topic.

some of the negative points- no pool, breakfast buffet for 2 was high although good was not that good for the price. room is small and they did not mention how to put the key card in the slot to turn on the power so we were without lights for while. It is a 30-40 minute pricey taxi ride from Antwerp and a 15 minute walk from the train station, on a nice street with lots of shops. Lots of congested streets during rush hour. The town is lovely and it is next to the big open market which is great for shopping, and places to eat and drink - town center.
Location.
Situated in Ghent, Holiday Inn Express Gent is in the business district and close to Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst, Museum of Fine Arts, and Jules Ottenstadion. Also nearby are Ghent University and Flanders Expo.

"As always very nice stay"
I always use this hotel for short stays in Gent. Rooms are big, internet free, breakfast ok and staff very helpful. It is not that fra from the city center by bus (15 min) but the neighbourhood is a bit boring as it is mostly an industrial area.
"Added costs"
Have used this hotel before, as close proximity to the main route from Dunkirk to Brussels makes it a usefull nightstop. Was surprised to be charged for parking, as there is a very large carpark , only 10% used. Also there is a city tax. So what you pay on the booking is not the bottom line!

Very corporate, more suited to business conferences than families with young children. However the room was a decent size, staff were helpful and businesslike (rather than friendly), breakfast was fine. Transport into Ghent was easy enough. A plain hotel in a high rise block, beside the motorway outside Ghent. Good for a short stay. The room was fine with a lovely bathroom and it was all very clean. Not the most salacious of breakfast areas, this being situated to the side of the reception in the front lobby. Never seen that before. Due to a misunderstadning I was double booked for the […] second night and when I telephoned reception from my room the young woman was reluctant to change booking (although I had been assured over the phone that it had been done the day I booked) and eventually she relented but then slammed down the phone (as though the rebate was coming out of her pocket) cutting me off with a curt 'bye'. "Hôtel à Gand en famille"
L'hôtel est vaste. Au petit déjeuner, il y a vraiment beaucoup de monde mais il y a de la place pour tous. La chambre a été préparée pour 4 personnes. Le confort est certain et la chambre est propre. La proximité des autoroutes permet de partir sur une autre ville rapidement. L'accès au centre de Gand est facile.

このたび，自家用車でのオランダ・ベルギー旅行のため１泊しました。高速道路から近く，表示も見やすかったため迷うことなく到着できました。 家族４人で宿泊したのですが，部屋は広く，子どもたちも喜んで滞在することができました。朝食ビュッフェはかなり多くのメニューが並んでおり，満足できる内容でした。またぜひ宿泊したいと思います。

"Entre des noeuds d'autoroutes"
Hotel situé directement sur une échange autoroutier. Bref, bruit, pollution, lieu pas très agréable, et pourtant, le parking est payant! Hall petit, ascenseur digne d'un entrepôt, couloirs lugubre, grande chambre sans meubles... climatiseur énorme et bruyant. Odeur forte de tabac froid, même si chambre non fumeur. Bref, aucun charme.

Het hotel is gelokaliseerd aan de rand van Gent direct aan de afslag van de snelweg. Wij zijn hier 3 nachten verbleven voor een dag Gent, een dag Brugge en dag Brussel. "Preiswertes Hotel an der Autobahn"
Das Hotel ist sauber und gut organisiert. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer. Es war groß und bequem. Leider mit Teppichboden und das Fenster ließ sich nur kippen aber nicht öffnen. Deshalb war das Zimmer nicht optimal belüftet für Frischluftfreunde. Die Klimaanlage hatten wir ausgeschaltet. Das Geräusch der Autobahn war nicht zu überhören, obwohl wir ca. […] 200-300m entfernt im mittleren Bereich wohnten. Das Abendessen am Buffet war einfach aber ok. Das Frühstück findet in der Empfangshalle des Hotels statt und ist sehr einfach aber auch ok. "Kort verblijf in Gent"
Na een dag heerlijk genoten te hebben van de mooie stad Gent heb ik samen met mijn vriendin en haar dochter de nacht doorgebracht in dit geweldige hotel. Ontvangst was super, kamer zeer ruim en net. "s morgens heerlijk ontbijten met voor ieder wat wils. Zal zeker nog eens boeken als ik wederom naar Gent ga.

Fint pass by hotel - overnatning på sovesofa kan ikke anbefales til 2 større børn men fint fra 12 og nedefter . God morgenbuffet.

There is a major problem in Gent-- Taxis can take up to 1 hour to come to this hotel - and it is a long way out. It should NEVER be used for any congress at the ICC Although the taxis are not a fault of the hotel -- the location is. Hotel was zeer kindvriendelijk, goed ontbijt, Vriendelijke bediening. Buffet voor avondeten was ook voor kinderen zeer geschikt. Prettig sfeer in restaurant.

Prima hotel. Ruime, nette en vooral schone kamers. Het ontbijtbuffet was heel vers en werd voortdurend aangevuld, ook vlak voor 10.00 uur (ontbijten was mogelijk tot 10.00 uur). Enige puntje van kritiek is dat de kamers vrij gehorig zijn; maar goed, met een paar oordopjes in valt de overlast reuze mee. Ik kan dit hotel van harte aanbevelen!

Hotellet levede fuldt op til forventningerne. Personalet var flinke, og talte godt engelsk. Værelserne var fine og moderne, og godt rengjorte. Hotellet var let at finde, da det kunne ses fra motorvejen.

Dette hotellet har god standard, betjeningen snakker engelsk og det er god service. Vi reiste med hund, og det gikk helt fint. Rommet var rent og bra størrelse. De tar betaling for at du parkerer bilen din, og det er litt irriterende, jeg foretrekker at slik kostnad ligger i romprisen.
