Overall enjoyed our stay. Nice facilities and clear room. Downside was that i wanted to use the gym but you have to pay $25 per day to do so as its all part of the spa, no exceptions etc. Like most of Vegas to get anywhere you have to go through the land of the slot machines. Location ok, but distances are deceptive, so next door is 5 mins walk. Didn't check out the shows here but one couple we spoke to said beatles Cirque de Soleil was amazing. Pool area huge and feels somewhat crowded, get there early for a space.

Our 3 night stay at the Mirage was great. We lucked out with a fast check in process since we arrived ahead of a large convention. The room was very nice and we had a great view of the strip. The hotel and casino were very nice but the best part of the hotel is the location. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to do and more. I highly recommend this hotel.

Having never stayed in this hotel before but a veteran of Hotels.com I called the hotel after I had booked to confirm my reservation and to ask what type of deposit I would be expected to pay. I was advised that since my booking was done on Hotels.com there would be no deposit. Thinking that sounded to good to be true I called again several days later and was advised the same thing. Upon my arrival suprise, suprise, I was asked for my Credit Card and sure enough, $450.00 was placed on hold for "essentials". They don't tell you this upon checkin, they just charge you. They also don't mention the "Resort Fee" of $15.00 a day. Now I must admit, that did not bother me so much as it did cover the cost of wireless and gave me two bottles of water wich came in handy in the mornings but It would have been nice to have be told of the charges. This said I must say we enjoyed our time in this hotel very much. The location alone is worth it. You can go anywhere on the strip, The Revolution Lounge offered a nice atmosphere with great music and dancing, but also a relaxing lounge experience. The buffet was above average for Vegas and the cheesecake in the Deli was so good it should be illigal. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom large. Plenty of closet space and the bathrobes made my wife feel like a celebrity. Got no love in the casino but sometime you just have to lose. Made some of it back in other places. Must give kudos to the front desk, luggage valets, and parking valets. They truely gave my wife and I a one of a kind experience that we will never forget. We are in Vegas at least three times a year and I think we just found our Hotel.

Although the room was not clean when we got there (the previous guests checked out, but kept 1 key and stayed in the room: so not really the hotel's fault), we liked this hotel. The location is great. From the hotel you can walk to almost every hotel on the strip. And the rooms were nice, spacious and (the rest of the days) clean. There are some nice restaurants in the hotel and a nice/hip bar.

The Mirage hotel has an amazing location on the strip, and is worth staying at for that alone. It's an easy walk to the Venetian or the Bellagio. We had a tower suite which was very spacious and comforatable. Room service was slow (at least an hour wait) but food was delicious. Housekeeping and maintenance staff very friendly. Location on the strip is excellent - walking distance or tram service to many entertainment attractions. Hotel is older and some maintenance is needed (ie: need to update TVs, not all phones in the room worked, levers on the jaccuzi tub broken but functional). Refrigerator in room was great, but no a microwave or coffee maker. Overall good room - could be excellent with a little maintenance and added appliances.

Check-in was incredibly disorganized and inefficient. I waited 50 minutes to check in, with only two people ahead of me in my line (there were three lines, but they didn't have everyone wait in one line and then be called over to "next available" -- you were stuck in the line you went to and if there was a long wait while they resolved issues with the people in front - you waited). They've also closed the coffee shop and replaced with noisy restaurant/club. Only 24 hour place is small Carnegie's Deli, NY style with crowded small tables and not a great menu. Disappointing. Rumor has it that the hotel is being positioned to sell and maybe that's why staff doesn't seem to care about anything.

I remember staying at the Mirage when I was a kid visiting Las Vegas with my parents for the first time. Back in the day the Mirage was considered to be one of the best hotels in Vegas. Today I would class it as a mid-range property. The recent room renovation has done a lot for the hotel but it feels like they stopped short of completion. The interior of the rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious enough. It feels like they stopped short in the bathroom. The tile and counters in the bathroom look new but the bathtub is the original. There was a large chunk of enamel missing from our bathtub and the shower head had enough gunk built up on it to make me think that it was the original. The extractor fan in the bathroom was useless and when we took showers the steam made the room very humid. When we booked there were two rates available. The lowest rate and then one above that guaranteed a pool or volcano view. We decided to pay the higher rate. I would not do this again. The room we had was on the 17th floor and the view was over the vast rooftops of the casino to the pool in the distance. Frankly I would take my chances and not pay the additional money for the supposed view. Was not worth the money. There is one disturbing practice at this hotel. Upon check in you are told that there is a $15.00 per day charge the includes tips for the hotel staff, 2 bottles of water and use of robes while you are in the room. In effect this increases the price of the room by $15.00 per day. I have stayed in many Vegas hotels and have not seen this practice before. Based on the condition of the bathroom and the $15 charge, I would only select this hotel if the rate was very low. I think that there are much better selections available in that price range.

This is an additional surprise charge that you didn't count on it. We needed a family-friendly hotel in Vegas - this sounds like an oxymoron, but you'd be surprised. Mirage had been suggested on a couple of lists and the rate and location were great. I was still nervous if there would be an attitude toward us for bringing kids, but I was pleasently surprised by how great the staff was and we didn't feel out of place at all. The room was a good size (although, the bathroom was rather small). The pool is gorgeous. But the best part of all was Cirque de Soleil's LOVE, not only the show itself but the staff that worked the front of the house. They made my daughter feel like she was about to experience something amazing, and she did. I will definitely stay at the Mirage again.
