Thoroughly enjoyed at stay for 3 nights at the Mirage - rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Stains on carpet was really only complaint. Didn't hear much noise at all from other guests or rooms. .Had to get laundry done - Housekeeping were very obliging. Free car parking was appreciated. Bit of a hassle not being able to take stuff out of mini fridge […] to use the space for our own stuff but understand they are there to make money. Loved the grand reception area, the beautiful dome with the water fall. Pool was great although pity it closed so early. Great location on the strip allowed us to go walking and explore other places. The room was great!! The bed, the cleanliness of the room, the bathroom. It was all awesome. I enjoyed the spa which was also amazing. The pool was good but very very crowded. The food was excellent too. My only complaints are as follows: One ... there was some kind of industrial type of noise down the hall from our room. It was some kind of construction […] noise?? But it was annoying and sounded at odd times. Two .... We did not spend too much time in the room watching TV but the few occasions we did the TV signal was off and made the video and sound blurry. It's very smokey. There shd be a designated section only for smokers! Saw many people just light up a cigarette in the lobby, in the halls, restaurant! How inconsiderate! Thank God ONLY STAYED 1 NIGHT bec we were supposed to watch Celine D on 8/15 but she cancelled but otherwise was much happier and breathing easier where we stayed 3 nights at Tropicana […] prior to our stay here. Crowded too. Long walks to the guest rooms. It needs remodeling, bathroom very small, my knees almost touch the door when sitting on the toilet seat. Rusty bathroom. Vanity very outdated and almost falling apart. Decor outdated. Door or must be the walls very thin because could hear whole convo going in the halls. It has a loaded fridge with items for purchase, but pricey of course! I happen to simply read the nutrition label on a bag of chips which was one of the items there and returned it right away where I got it, but got charged for it!! Definitely not a family friendly hotel. Lots of drunk and wasted people in the halls.But receptionists very nice and accommodating I may say. Very helpful Concierge reps. "Terrible Service! Beware Bachelors/Bachelorettes!!"
DO NOT STAY AT THE MIRAGE if you intend to have a good time in Vegas! Within the first fifteen minutes of checking into our rooms for my sister's bachelorette party, we were shut down by security for a "noise complaint." A) We were not even drinking. B) no music was playing C) we hadn't even unpacked our bags yet D) We had simply been talking in our […] rooms. I informed the two security guys of items a,b,c,d when THEY ADMITTED TO MISTAKING us for another party that was down the hall, BUT STILL CONTINUED TO BERATE US! I called the front desk and spoke to a woman to complain of this situation, told her about the security guards and how they shut us down even after having admitted to mistaking us for another room. She then proceeded to tell me that "As long as you are in your rooms, then there shouldn't be a problem." Obviously that isn't true because WE WERE IN OUR ROOMS talking, never in the common hallway area, and had just arrived!! She then put me on with the front desk manager who was a complete JERK! He was totally unaccommodating, UNAPOLOGETIC, and continued to site "policy and procedure" even though it is evident that their "policies and procedures" are flawed. I have been to Vegas NUMEROUS TIMES and stayed at other hotels for parties that were WAY more wild than we ever were that weekend and have never been treated so poorly. It was nice. The restroom was a bit small and the way the roll of tissue was installed is very inconvenient. Maintenance or Housekeeping definitely needs to find another solution to that. The restroom door would open and block the bath tub and bath tub's drain had major rust all around it. The cable television kept cutting in and out. We love staying at the Mirage, the pool is the best, they have an array of good restaurants, the slots pay well also. Its located next to Cesar's Palace which is nice and across from the Venetian also. You can easily walk down to the Bellagio, which of course is great to watch the fountain show.
