"Cheap but MBTA-accessible"
This is a well-run hotel for the budget-conscious who still require convenient access to mass transit. This hotel is in a working-class neighborhood in South Boston, within walking distance of the Andrew Square T station (red line). My room was clean and comfortable. The only negative was my three night-stay was on the first floor, so occasionally I […] could hear loud people in the parking lot, either talking or unloading their cars. The free breakfast is very nice compared to other mid-tier "continental" breakfast setups I have seen. And if you are looking for dinner, you can't go wrong if you wonder down the street to 224 Boston Street (that's the name of the restaurant). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
A very nice hotel that is close to a lot of restaurants ( walk distance ) like applebees and olive garden . The only disadvantage there is no restaurant in the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location and excellent staff."
We stayed at this hotel for a few days before a wedding in Nantucket. The staff were excellent and always willing to accommodate the needs of our 2 year old. The location near the red-line on the subway and Target etc. just around the corner is great. They quickly rectified a problem with the toilet cistern not filling up. The only real problem we has […] was a need to keep the air conditioning on all the time and the fan running in the bathroom or the bedroom became uncomfortably humid. Seeing as we'd not been to Boston before we put it down to the local climate - but I do wonder if there was a ventilation issue as other places we stayed didn't seem to suffer from this same humidity. "Good value for the money."
Hotel was very clean, desk staff was very accommodating and the hot breakfast was most welcome. 24-hour coffee in breakfast area wasn't bad, either. Hotel shuttle was convenient. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not treated the same as before"
I have stayed in this place 9 other times in the past year. I like this place for price, room size, cleanliness, friendliness and location to my destination. This time I was not happy. I was put in a room that had a Queen size bed and a bathroom I had to get in the tub to close the door to go to the bathroom. For the amount of times I stayed there I […] was disappointed they would put me in a small room. Customer loyalty is not a strong suit there. Extremely Disappointed! Don't get the room on the first floor just past the glass door off of the breakfast area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very strong cleanser/perfume - Terrible Smell"
In halls and rooms, terribly strong clean-perfume smell. I know that people who smell some of these often used cleaner-perfumes, can not smell them any more, so they don't notice that the smell in the hallway and room was overpowering for some accustomed to fresh air......one instant headache. The room air conditioner, of course, does not let in fresh […] air, so, there was no way to air-out the room... windows were also locked. Nice breakfast, and mostly nice otherwise. The hotel employees were very helpful with all our needs, and the shuttle into the City was great. Tjhat saved us a lot of time and trouble in our touring around on the stop and go buses. All in all, we were fvery pleased with our stay at the hotel and the complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very well located hotel, near a shopping center"
I was looking for a hotel near Boston's MBTA public transportation. This hotel is a nice 5 min walk away from the T (Andrew Station). It's conveniently located next to a Shopping Center where you can find a Target store, Best Buy and more. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus and there was a lot of food to choose from. Very useful airport shuttle. Very […] recommended. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I wish the gym was better taken care off.For the four days we were there one treadmill was out of order and it didn't seem like fit was going to be taken care of soon. There were no wipes in the room though there was a dispenser so this made it difficult to clean off the sweat after using the equipment. The room could be better ventilated. It was hot […] and stuffy and the air conditioner wasn't effective enough. Exercising is an important part of my routine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"One Night Stay"
Very friendly and helpful reception staff. clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable stay, low on customer service"
The hotel was comfortable and the shuttle operators to the airport were very nice. The room was taken care of and we felt very welcome during our stay. However, the receptionists they had for both shifts were far from proficient when dealing with customers. Late night questions were met with an attitude of annoyance and the morning shift had issues […] with social communication. I had to ask a question 3 times before getting a proper answer. Overall it was a great stay and we will come back, but if the front desk gets any worse than what it already is then we might have to start staying somewhere else when we travel to Boston. Nice people.most specially to the Puerto Rican(by the front desk) who taught us how to get to Freedom Trail. Did her job above and beyond. Tnx again!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
We had a reservation for shuttle pick up at the airport at 12:30am. Our flight was 45 minutes late (I called during our layover in Chicago) so when we had our bags it was 1:15am and I called for a pick up. The hotel is 8 minutes from the airport. There was NOTHING going on in the middle of the night. They picked us up at 2:20am (65 minutes later) and […] 4 phone calls later, with no excuse whatsoever for leaving us stranded in the middle of the night at the airport. It was AWFUL! Then we met with the manager the next day and he assured us that he would "take care of us." Absolutely NOTHING from him. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent hotel far from anything"
It's a Holiday Inn, so you're going to get the same hotel experience you would anywhere, which is nothing grand, but isn't bad either. That being said the location is not that great. Yes you're close to a subway station, but you're far off from basically anything else. Expect at least a 40 minute trip if not more to get to anything worth doing, seeing […] or drinking. Best bet is to stay elsewhere and save yourself the time during your vacation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Distant but made amends"
I actually enjoyed my stay. I was checking out Boston with a friend. Even though the hotel itself is quite far outside the city, the hotel offer a complimentary shuttle to the nearest T stop. Which is lucky because the neighbourhood isn't the greatest by any means. The staff were friendly and informative. They knew their jobs inside out and were so […] willing to help. The room was satisfactory. Not the newest or the sparkly cleanest but fine for a quick shower and a place to sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good experience helpful staff enjoyed the stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was super helpful and friendly. The room was small, but it was perfect for the one night stay. Bed and pillows were so comforterable I didn't want to leave! Only issue I had was figuring out how to get into the hotel since it's off a one way street in, well behind, a shopping plaza. Once I figured it out it was smooth sailing!Genuine Expedia guest review
Never been to the boston area ao I had no idea how to get around. The hotel staff was awesome about giving directions and a map to the subway! Overall this is a great place to stay while in Boston!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very close to the city"
Very convenient if you travel by car. Downtown is just 3 miles away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge shopping mall just across the hotel. Just stayed for one night, but would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay the exorbitant fares of downtown hotels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It was very good. Hotel is well located, just a few minutes by car from Boston downtown and also from Cambridge. I was interested in visiting MIT and Harvard Universities and this hotel worked very good for me. Front desk team very useful and nice. ThanksGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Andrew Station"
Our room was excellent. Very clean. Comfortable bed. The hotel is right next to a shopping center with several large chain stores in case anything is needed, and is located a short walk away from Andrew Station, so it's easy to get on the red line to get anywhere in the city. The staff were friendly and polite.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stopover before heading home"
I needed a place close to the airport, clean and safe, and not too expensive. Holiday Inn Express fit the bill. We arrived late but were greeted cheerfully by the desk clerk. "Brief stay in Boston..."
Bacon, Eggs, Sticky Buns, what's not to Like?!! A bit further from the tourist attractions & shopping areas than I've usually stayed---more of a neighborhood area but right on the edge of an Interstate Highway. They do offer free shuttle to subway, and a $5 shuttle to Logan Airport. The hotel is well staffed, clean, and comfortable --- and the breakfast […] is great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"One of the best hotels!"
One of the prettiest, cleanest, most comfortable, best hotels! Literally just minutes from Boston. We opened the curtain and had a beautiful skyline view. The only problem that we had was a party in the middle of the night and they kept slamming thir door and they rung our phone. I called the desk to complain.because we had been up for about two hours […] at that point and no one came to stop it. It went on until about 4:30 am. (I called the desk at 3 am). I was very tired, but most of all I was mad because I was in one of the most comfortable beds with amazing pillows and an even better blanket and those people were ruining it! "Pleasant enough for the price"
Nice hotel, staff was helpful. One problem was that they offered a shuttle but the one time we wanted to use it after two calls and an hour wait no one came to pick us up. We could hear our neighbors but it wasn't too bad.Genuine Expedia guest review

Service and comfort are two words to describe my stay. Shuttle service to amd from the airport only $5 one way. Hotel staff were professional and helpful. Breakfast was ok and I appreciated the 24 hr coffee. Restaurants and shops minutes away. Room and bathroom was spacious. I will definitely be staying again and look forward to it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent place to stay for Boston visit"
Solid hotel for a 3 day Boston stay. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown -- we didn't use the subway/T system at all, and right off the freeway, very convenient. Breakfast area typically very busy, food was decent and filling, but the same everyday (every HIE is basically the same). Walls were very thin--could hear neighbors and people in hallway very […] clearly. Mattresses seemed a little old and sagged to the middle. No pool, but can use the tiny pool in the next door hotel. Used a rollaway bed to fit a 5th person in our room, didn't charge us, which was nice. Staff members were great -- brought up extra towels (and a toliet plunger) literally in minutes after requests. Everyone was very helpful. Great stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was good in general (especially the breakfast), but I had much higher expectations for what we had paid. We got a room for handicapped people which wasn't really convenient for us. The subway station was further than we thought (by walk).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for all your needs"
Great compromise: quality – comfort – location – price – service – parking – breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was very nice and front desk staff very helpful and pleasant. We were using the Old Town Trolley and they let us know we could be picked up @ 8:30 -8:45 (only one chance) and returns daily after 5:00 but you need to let the person in charge at stop #1 know that you are returning to the Marriott Hotel on their way back to the garage. There was […] a shopping center behind the hotel (short walk thru a parking lot, just be careful) and there was a Panera, Olive Garden, Applebees and lots of stores. The coffee 24/7 was very nice and the hot cookies @ 6:00pm was also nice. The breakfast was very nice but on Sunday we were leaving @ 6:15 and nothing had been put out and we were told the cereal and yogurt comes out @ 5:30. Due to the price of other hotels and convenience of the trolley stop I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was excellent. The room was comfortable. The Red Trolley tour was strongly suggested, we took it, but was not totally satisfied with it. It is supposed to be hop on hop off. It was hop off, but had to wait well over an hour for the next hop on. Two trolleys passed us by without stopping. I would suggest the green and orange trolley. They came […] more often and always stopped with plenty of room. We also took the subway one day. It is close by and the shopping center bus would take you to the subway, but it was close enough for walking also. The shuttle to the airport was also very reasonable. "Great place for a fair price."
Service was excellent. Free shuttle to the conventions center and can not beat the free breakfast. (saved me at least $10 per day) Very basic exercise room with low ceilings but it did the trick. Very close to a huge shopping plaza (2 min. walk). Great value for the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Very clean. The free internet was a nice touch, and the free breakfast, although not fancy, was certainly adequate to start the day. Not a bad walk to the subway station and there's a grocery and a few restaurants nearby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"very good value, free hot breakfast"
Pro: clean/comfortable room, microwave (big plus as you can save money by heating up leftovers or buy tv dinners), fridge, free hot breakfast, free coffee/water in the lobby, free shuttle to subway station, $5 shuttle to airport, free wifi internet; Con: the neighbor hood where you walk through to the subway station is questionable, would not recommend […] walking at night, use the shuttle instead. Difficult to drive to. (Can see from Boston St., but can't get there.) Not a single grab bar in bathroom for access to tub. Decor is a strange, incompatible mix of colors and patterns.
