My daughter and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza while visiting NYC. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay, especially location, comfort, friendly and helpful staff, parking, etc. Our only disappointment was that the food was not up to the price we paid nor was the food service. At check in (it was late), we were told the dining room was open but it wasn't. We had to eat in the bar which was crowded. We had to flag down a wait person, as no one had noticed us come in. However, we will definitely return to the hotel on our next visit- the good far out weighed the bad.

We stayed at this hotel because it was close Giants Stadium. We went to see U2, which was great except for never being picked up from our hotel. We were going to drive and pay for parking so we would know we had transportation. However, one of the staff members from the hotel told us to take the shuttle (its only $7 and they will pick you up where they let you off). OK! That's a great Idea. BUT>>>>what he didn't tell us is that the shuttle stops at 10pm!!!!!!!!! We'll the U2 show was not over until after that...so we waited and waited and waited (bc we didn't know they were not coming.) Finally, I called the hotel and they hung up on me twice....after being very rude and telling me the shuttle service is not from the hotle, that it is a hired service....NICE! We ended up getting a cab after waiting a long time (cabs were few and far between bc everyone was trying to get one). We should have just taken our car. We got back to the hotel and really needed a drink and a bit to eat...of course the hotel bar was closed and so was room service. There is nowhere in the area open late. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. SHAME ON THEM!!!

The directions we received were horrible. Someone forgot to mention that Rt. 46 is under construction. You needed to use Rt. 3 to get to your destination. The hotel is right off of Rt. 3, not Rt. 46! Good thing we knew our way around. If we didn't, I don't think we ever would have found our way.

The hotels really need to remodel. The elevators are too slow. The staff are not knowlegible and misdirects people. Hotel Shuttle is good feature but they are not organised to run the service efficiently and gives you a feel as if they are doing a great favour to you for providing the service The faucets in the bathrooms doen't work and they don't care to replace that.

Every time I ordered room service the order was over priced and something was always wrong, from charging 15 for cereal to toasting white bread sandwich when I told them not too so it fell apart. Bad split pea soup, and waiting 10 minutes for food in front of me and 2 people waiting on customers in a non busy atmosphere so I can pay and go to my room. I simply walked out and ate else where. Always arrived later then told and food ended up cold as a result. Darn Hotel food!

Restaurant Food is teasing on menu but mediocre on the plate. Not real bad but choices are limited with nothing standing out - you can eat much better for the price. I will typically bring food in from another restaurant. Otherwise - no major issues with this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for its proximity to the seminar I was attending. The room had a great view of NYC and was on the 11th floor and the linens/pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom had an ample amount of toiletries. On site there is a restaurant which had two types of breakfast and allowed you to do a take out for whichever you choose. The hotel lobby and surrounding area is well kept and spacious. There is a Starbucks ( mobile cart) on site also. There are shuttles which I did not use since I had a car. There is a a significant amount of shops/ restaurants such as: bonefish grill, chilis, olive garden. I did not use the gym so I can't comment on that. Overall, a great hotel

This hotel is too far from the Meadowlands to walk and not close to a train station. There is a shuttle from the hotel, but staff could not agree if it was free or $15. The hotel was in good condition. The toilet was broken, mold was growing in the bathroom. The elevators were very slow. The breakfast was very expensive. Staff at the hotel were very friendly. I took advantage of the free shuttle from the hotel to the NJ Transit system. Don't plan on being able to walk anywhere... there's nothing around this hotel. Cab ride from NY airport was very expensive. I would recommend this hotel if 1) you have a meeting at this hotel, 2) have a car, or 3) plan on spending some time going from shuttle, NJ Transit, NY Metro.

The location was convenient. The shuttle to the train station was great and Bus stop was also close but the remote for the TV did not work. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was it was a cheaper alternative to the very pricey NYC hotels. I'd read that it was easy to get to NYC from Secaucus, and what I'd read was right. The hotel provides a "regular" shuttle to Secaucus station, then its 1 stop to NY Penn Station. The shuttle is meant to run every 20mins but we found it to be less frequent - and if you want to be picked up from the station or outlet mall don't rely on them coming every 20mins - make sure you call or you're in for a LONG wait!! Overall the hotel itself was well presented with all the mod-cons you'd expect. Rooms were spacious and clean, and the one we stayed in had a great view of the NY skyline. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a good choice.

The public areas of this hotel are very nice, with a great water overlook from the restaurant, and a pretty deck with a view. The room--not so nice. The promised deluxe bedding was okay on the left side of the room, the right side (we had 2 doubles) was awful, a rickety bed frame and a mattress that rolled us right toward the center did not come close to deluxe. The window had a crack, the lamps were missing bulbs and the desk had experienced some mishap that broke the drawer away. This place is near the Meadowlands Sports complexes--maybe one too many rowdy parties have happened in this room. Considering this it's really too bad because the staff was top notch, I suppose we should have complained but we were there for a family funeral and had other priorities.
