"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Another Good Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

"Beware of Car Theft"
Hotel is pretty nice. Pros - nice bar, nice Restaurant (no vegetarian dishes though), nice rooms; However, parking is slightly away from hotel. I had an attempted break-in on my rental car (someone tried to pry open both passenger and driver side doors, leaving dents and scratches all over the car)...

"Sufficient"
My church and I stayed here for one night for an event that took place at IZOD CENTER. The location of the hotel is very convenient to IZOD as well as to find places to get food and COFFEE. The breakfast buffet was great as we as the courtesy of the staff. The facility is a little outdated but well kept.

"Crowne Plaza Meadowlands"
it was very very hot in the room and can not control the tempeasure and the bed too small and not confortable
"Hotel Crown Plaza Meadowlands"
This hotel was so disgusting I thought somebody was playing a joke. We walked into the lobby and that was not to bad then we got to the elevators( I think late 70s style very slow and noisey. We got off the elevator and turned the corner and the wall paper was hanging off the walls with what look like black electrial tape holding it up. We had no wash […] cloths and were told they did not have any to give us. The next day we got to our room at 6 pm and the room was not cleaned yet. The tv sucked and I asked for three days to have them take a look at it they must be understaffed or going out of business because I never got anybody to look at it. We checked out two days early and tried to get a refund but were told because we booked thru a third party we were unable. There are nicer hotels in the same area look there first. Read more

"Crown plaza in secaucus nj"
The hotel Is clean but the comfort of the room was terrible. The heat was so hot and it was like I couldn't turn it down and the air was so dry and the beds work like sleeping on rocks. I couldn't sleep all night. I think I only got an hour and a half of sleep all night

Stay somewhere else! Hotel is VERY rundown.
"One night"
Room was nice and clean but one of the beds was hard as a rock
"close to public transportation"
Bus that takes you to Time Square is 1 block away. In 15 you are in the city! Really clean room, friendly personnel, very helpful. I do recommend it!

"CROWN PLAZA"
We asked to have our room changed because our room was ajoined to the room next door. The people in the room were playing loud music and shouting above it....the sounds carried thru thr adjoining doors because there is no insulation between the rooms where the doors are. The hotel said they were "filled" which we know was not true....barely any cars […] in the designated parking and we seldom saw more than a handfull of people at breakfast or in the evenings. so we were stuck with this room. "Crowne Plaza Meadowlands"
I was surprised by how nice my room turned out. I was in the top floor and was more than worth the price for the service. I would recommend staying there.
"Nasty!"
1) Condom on the floor, right in front of the building before I walked in... not a great first impression..... 2) Vomit on the elevator floor 3) The menu on the bed was already used and written all over 4) The drawers broke when I opened it 5) Asked for a wake-up call, and never received it

Hotel was great. Staff were very nice. Good location and quick trip to NYC. Would definitely stay again!

This hotel had a convenient location but the walls were kind of thin & the elevators were slow. Plus the Starbucks downstairs was sub-par quality. Overall it was ok but I feel like I could've gotten a better deal for less money somehwhere else

"Uncomfortable"
Room services like cleaning the room + bathroom was not performed throughout my stay. I have to complain to the frontdesk and although they sent a lady to do it, she claimed the morning shift was supposed to do that. Really unsatisfied.
"good alternative to NYC"
Was well situated and made for an easy commute to NYC in and out for our three days. Surrounding area has enough food and entertainment

Hotel room and hallway had a mildew smell. Room was warm though thermostat was on cooler temperature. One elevator was out of order and we had to wait for long periods of time for the one that wasn't broke. There was no airport shuttle to hotel.
"Nice hotel, okay location, eh service."
The hotel and room were both very nice, with the room being a nice size and a nice bathroom with both a bath and a shower. The staff seemed unfriendly and uninterested in helping us do anything. We found one person who was nice enough to help us a little bit. The surrounding area isn't so great, but it's right on the bus line that takes you right […] to port authority in NYC. The bus stops running at 1145, which SUCKS because we wanted to go out in the city at night but our dreams were crushed!! TIP: if you use this bus, go early in the AM because traffic took us a hour and a half to get into the city around 2pm. Overall, if you are looking for a hotel in Jersey to stay at where you can go into the city as well, this is a pretty good choice but it's nothing like staying in the city.. Read more
"The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Secaucus New Jersey"
The location was ideal. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that takes you to the New Jersey Transit which is only minutes away. The train at Secaucus Junction then takes you right into New York's Penn Station. The doormen are very knowledgeable and helpful in helping you to map out a sight/seeing plan or the hottest shopping spots. That's more […] then I can say for the front desk. However, I expected a much nicer room at the hotel given the luxurious lobby area. The room itself was clean but needs to be updated with a coat of paint, modern television and a more comfortable bed. The bathroom needs the most attention!!! Again, nothing that a coat of paint and an upgrade on the sink and tile wouldn't solve. If I would have know the conditions of the hotel room before I booked, I would have booked additional nights at the hotel I stayed in on our first night's visit. The Country Inn and Suites in Elizabeth New Jersey offered a much cleaner room/bathroom. In addition, they offer a complimentary breakfast in the morning and the price of the rooms are comparable to those at the Crowne Plaza in the Meadowlands. The only drawback to the Country Inn & Suites is the transportation. They don't have a shuttle that will take you to the NJ transit. But, if you drive to NJ/NY you can always drive your car to the NJ transit and park and drive lot for a nominal fee. It's about a 15 minute drive. Read more
"Lovely hotel - I loved the bar and restaurant"
The room was kind of small, and there was construction going on at the time, but very nice hotel hotel.
The Crown Plaza was very clean and inviting. It is close to New York City and our only problem was getting back to the hotel due to a severe storm. We ended up parking on a local street and walking to the hotel.

not a bad place to stay - OK for the money, the beds are a bit old but the rooms are nice. Location is key if you NEED to stay in Secaucus, 5 minutes from the NJ turnpike.
