We had a great time with my family in February and thanks to Ricardo (gentleman at desk), we came back to make our dream come true. He was extremely helpful and gave us all the info we needed to get married in D.C. He took care of us as we were family!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel in a convenient location"
The Crowne Plaza Hamilton is a decent hotel close to the McPherson Square subway stop. My room and bathroom were a little small but comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great - staff were extremely friendly and my view of the park was great. The bed was a tab short for me, but otherwise very comfy. Loved the Temple Spa amenities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, with excellent restaurant"
I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel; especially the restaurant. Very rarely do I receive such excellent service; Oscar, our waiter, was very personable, efficient and super service minded; wish people in all trades could see how us in the service industry should act. Kudos Oscar!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent stay, great location."
The location of the hotel was perfect, just around the corner of the white house. The rooms were on the small side but clean. Remember to bring your own pillows though as that was the main dissapointment of the stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price the room was small and dated The carpet was worn and stained. The room was so warm we had to put air conditioner on and this was when it was snowing outside! Worst part is that they charge for internet; sleep-cheap hotels offer it for free!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love the Hotel"
It was very near many eateries and a nice location in dc.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our stay was excellent, but for two things: (1.) when we chose to leave before spending the night due to inclement weather the front desk said they would have to call Hotels.com . ..we weren't looking for a refund, we had been in our rooms all day and fully expected to pay for the room for the night even though we were leaving (2.) The valet parking […] took FOREVER -- nearly 45 minutes to get my car as we stood there trying not to be late for a meeting. I called down (as instructed on the valet ticket) and gave ample notice, but then it was another 45 minutes before my car got there. Not good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, functional and comfortable"
Aside from a small slip from the cleaning service crew, the rest was excellent, and they resolved it immediately. Great hotel, nice rooms and convenient locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient, walking distance to the mall."
Pleasant, friendly personnel; couldn't beat the discounted price!Genuine Expedia guest review
Figuring out parking was the most difficult aspect of this trip. There's construction going on in front of the hotel, so finding the valet sign was tricky. I had to take a lap around the block to figure it out. Also as I searched for a hotel to book, I saw nothing about a $45 overnight car fee, but quickly found out in the morning when I received my […] updated bill. Otherwise the hotel was fantastic. It was very clean, the location was good, and we were able to navigate easily. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed for five nights for a conference, and was very pleased. Great restaurant on site (they provide room service, too). Walking distance to most places in central DC area, including convention center, shops and restaurants along Connecticut ave. It was quiet for its central location, and room was cosy and comfortable. Great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Boutique feel at affordable price."
My stay was only one night, but it was a very nice experience. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The staff were very attentive and professional. I have stayed at other Crown Plaza properties and always enjoy my stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamilton"
Great location, beautiful updated but historic hotel. Starbucks adjacent to the hotel which is a bonus. Would definately return here on my next business trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Metro, White House AND Starbucks"
This hotel is one block from the same Metro Line as Ronald Reagan airport, about four blocks from the White House AND there's a full Starbucks store on the lobby level. We enjoyed the location, but also the art deco furnishings. They were a nice change from the usual chain hotel rooms. Since my husband and I were traveling with our two college-age children, […] we bought two, adjoining rooms. Glad we did -- we would have been really cramped if we had all tried to fit into one room. We arrived at the airport at 10 p.m. Christmas night and we going to take a taxi, but none could be found, so we rode the Metro. It was an easy and safe 20-minute trip. We had a wonderful time, the hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were very friendly. I would suggest this hotel to anyone!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Could not get warm"
The hotel is definitely on the older side, but what I didn't anticipate was not being able to get the room above 64 degrees for the entire length of my stay. I informed the front desk who promptly sent up engineering. They changed the filter and said the compressor tricked the heat into thinking it was warmer. My brief glimmer of hope was soon dashed […] into another cool night. To make matters worse the "hot" water was warm at best. I found myself having to do sit ups and push ups just to get warm enough for my two minute shower. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location - great value."
I needed to be a couple of blocks from the hotel for early meetings. I was so delighted to get an amazing deal from hotels.com. The rooms appear to be newly appointed an the decor is really tasteful, very classy. The bathroom was very pretty. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, given that the Crowne is an historic hotel in the center of DC. They are […] roomy for any location. Service was outstanding. I had my 16 y/o son on this trip and he was very comfortable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was beautiful, had a view of the park, right on the street. Was worried that there would be street noise in the night in the middle of Wash DC, but that was not the case. The only complaint was the baby crying during the night being walked up and down the hall. Was raining during the day and Starbucks in connected inside so, easy access!Genuine Expedia guest review
Wonderful stay! Awesome staff, clean rooms, close to a lot of tourist attractions and a good price. Love that there was a Starbucks at the hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the view is amazing! Will stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
very impressed at the beautfiul hotel --upgraded and well kept, older smaller, "boutique" hotel --- staff was fantastic! hotel offered a nice breakfast buffet and dinner was fabulous ---great chefGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful but LOUD"
The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff is excellent and attentive. The rooms are nicely designed and comfortable. However, do not book a "Park View" room. The street traffic during the day is quiet, but at night it's terrible. The honking, police sirens, fire truck sirens (fire house is a 1/2 block away) is non-stop. The traffic coming out of the […] 2 night lounges across the street at 2-3am is so loud I couldn't sleep for hours. Lovely hotel, just don't face the park. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel. Convenient location."
Only 1 1/2 blocks from the Metro station. Wonderfully helpful staff. Lots of food options nearby. No complaints.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close but no cigar"
For the price we feel we could have done better. Close to the metro stop was convenient but there were several panhandlers we had to wade through between the hotel and Metro one block away. The hot water valve in our room allowed for a warm shower at best.(even after engineering repaired it. BTW no offer to move to another room was given or comp, I […] am used to Hampton or Laquintas satisfaction guarantees.PARKING IS NOT FREE $45 per car Per night took 25 minutes for valet to retrieve both cars. Only Valet can do it as there is no self park. WiFi is NOT FREE ($12.00 per connection per computer Per night.) basically leaving us with two of the three laptops irrelevant unless we wanted to pay more, We didn't. Our room was next to elevator noisy no view. Daughter and son in-law's room had no view either. Although this building really is not high enough or situated for a view of anything other than the adjacent buildings. The park next door is a gathering for the homeless as was evident by the soup line we passed on Saturday walking to the metro. I would like to enjoy my vacation without feeling guilty for having just left a hot shower and warm meal. I realize it's not the hotel's fault but the situation is one to consider when booking the hotel. We were safe inside the hotel, the place was clean and decorated very nice with great beds comfortable overall. Starbucks in lobby is a bonus since you can charge it to your room. Do your homework before booking this. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"This is my go to place"
I really like this hotel when I'm in town for business, i try to stay here as the rate is always good compared to others in the vicinity and it is a very nice hotel. The staff also are wonderful. I recommend this hotel to you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location needs some upkeep"
I staying hotels typically 3-4 nights a week. I chose this for the location. It was just what I needed. The facilities were needing some attention. The elevator was down and the shower faucet was not working right. After fixing it I was able to get a shower. The room was good and the bed was very comfortable. Realize that in the park next to the holt […] is a homeless group and there was a fight about 2 am which was not good when you have to get up early. This is not the hotels fault. Just making people aware. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I thought the place was nice. I think it's way overpriced for the quality of the room. The bathroom shower tile wasn't the best, felt old.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great stay here. Everything was great and the staff was ok. The hotel was modern and very clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
The previous guest had left their PJS in the room .The park beside the hotel was full of people begging and angry protesters. Each time we went outside we were asked for money .The hotel is very central to all site seeing and restaurants.Parking was also very expensive compared to a parking fee of $25 with PMI 2 blocks away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Overall we had a great stay! The staff was very friendly and also very professional. Check in and check out were a breeze! "Hotel was within walking distance to most sites"
The staff was mostly accommodating, however, we had a problem with a water leak in the bathroom (toilet) and had water all over floor which then leaked onto the carpet. We called for maintenance twice before they arrived. They came and said they fixed the problem, adjusted the water level. Unfortunately, it leaked all over the floor again. So rather […] than calling maintenance again, my husband just turned the water valve off (which we had to turn on/off every time we used the toilet). The other issue we had in the room was with the heat/ac control. It was too warm overnight and the second day we were in the room getting ready for the day, it was like a sauna! We could not get the room to cool down. So we just turned the unit off when we left for the day. When we came back to the room, it was 80 degrees in the room. Again, we called the front desk and they sent maintenance to check the problem. They said we had set it on fan instead of ac and it was much better after a while. However, the next day it was back to 80 degrees and we had never touched the control. ??? Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"close to my meeting location"
I was very satisfied with my stay until after i checked out. I had prepaid for two nights through Hotels.com but in checking my receipt when I was doing my expense report back in my office i realized the amont credited was about $70 less than I had paid. The rates for the two nights were different but did add up to the amount shown on your receipt. […] When we called and brought the discrepancy to your attention we were told that we should not have seen the prepaid amount and you readjusted the room rates to the higher dollar amount that I had actually paid. "Very nice place and great location."
Wow, I've never felt the presence of spirits before staying here. Very hard to define but, being pushed right in front of my wife and feeling a breeze at the same time was over the top. Nope, the window was closed.... Nice place and very clean. The smallest elevators for a big hotel? Just a few blocks from the White House.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, Starbucks Connected"
Rooms were a little small but we were not looking for a huge place as we were outside most of the time. Very small elevators but this place was a great deal for the price. Very clean and loved that it was right next to Starbucks. Food in the morning was a good buffet. Overall we were very happy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful hotel in DC"
This hotel is perfectly located, close to all main attraction of DC, we like to walk and everything was at walking distance. The hotel itslef is really beautiful and staff is very helpful and nice! The only "bad" thing is you have to pay for the wifi which is pretty disapointing for an hotel like that. But beside that everything was perfect!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Do NOT pay extra for the lounge on the 12th floor. Breakfast was basically kid type cereals, tired looking fruit, and sweet rolls. No toast or even water was provided. Happy Hour prices were the same as downstairs with a few appetizers--mainly cheese and crackers. However, location was great--1 block to subway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Crowne Plaza Hamilton Dear Betty, Thank you so much for the candid feedback about your stay. We've actually been looking into revamping our Executive Lounge and we're hoping by November to have a brand new product to present to our guests staying on that level. "Beautiful hotel! Well situated!"
I booked this hotel day of for an excellent rate as a surprise badly trip. The hotel is well appointed, beautifully historic and close to good restaurants and bars!!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is in a great location. About half a mile away from the White House and many surrounding excellent restaurants. Our room faced the park, which was nice but interesting at the same time. Many homeless people tend to hang-out and sleep in the park, which is okay; however, what causes a heartache is the yelling they tend to do towards each other, […] even early in the morning. Secondly, is the traffic noise. Even though we reside in a rural area, the traffic noise was above an acceptable level. Our first night about 2:30 in the morning we were woken to a movie being filmed outside our window, which involved motorcycles and a lot of people. Needless to say we barely slept our first night. Fortunately, the 2nd night we had the grand idea of placing all of our pillows, except two, against the window to block out the noise. This indeed helped immensely, slept like babies. Okay, about the hotel. Overall a really nice "historic" hotel. The decor is pleasant and our room was clean. Downside: small/ slow elevators and rooms are a bit on the small side. Please note they do charge an immediate $150 for accidentals and valet parking is $45 a day, which they take from your accidentals at the time of check out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
