"Party of 9"
We had guests from out of town for the Fourth of July. We booked two rooms in hopes of missing some of the holiday traffic. Check in wasn't until 3 but we wanted to miss traffic and see the parade so we arrived at the hotel at 9:00am. No traffic, pulled right up and was immediately helped. We asked about storing our luggage until check in and they were […] able to get both rooms in an early check-in! We were thrilled that we could plan our entire day and not have to worry about checking in. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. We loved the location, we walked to all museums and sights. Would stay again in a heart beat! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Front desk had attitude. Valet parking is ridiculous. The AC wouldnt cool the roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Crowne Plaza Hamilton Dear Joe, We are very sorry that we failed to meet your expectations while staying with us. We of course never want a guest to have this sort of experience and we hope that you will come back to see what a normal stay is actually like while staying with us. At your service, Joseph Meuse Rooms Management
"Way too much noise"
We stayed on the 9th floor and the noise was horrible. You can hear people talking outside, cars driving by and when I complained the front desk said that all the rooms were the same and that they were aware that they needed to change the windows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I recommend this hotel"
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable room. Just don't park a car here.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to the white house and other federal buildings and that was very important to us because we had a our kids (4 and 1 year old).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Historic Hotel"
We had a great experience at the Crowne Plaza-Hamilton. The hotel has a historic, yet modern, feel. We loved all the amenities the hotel has to offer such as specialized toiletry items, free newspapers, turn down service, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Washington DC Hotel Stay"
We had a corner room on the 5th floor / we found this a blessing as we could see a lot around us. The hotel is near everything in our interest and within two blocks of the metro. The hotel is eligant and pleasing. The staff was very cooperative and helpful. The one bad thing is the parkign fees if you bring a car. We paid $ 45.00 a night and this was […] the most I have ever paid for parking. But there is nothing you can do. There is no alternative unless you arrive by the metro and walk or have a cab bring you. We are already planning a trip to this same hotel next year. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, friendly staff, but ouch on extras"
My daughter and I stayed there the week of July 4th. Being downtown meant being close to some restaurants, the Metro is a block away, and the Mall is a reasonable distance. Also, a CVS pharmacy is a block away. Restaurant is surprisingly good for late dinner fare and comfort. But with a lot of business class hotels, you got to beware: extra charges […] of Internet, the business center, expensive laundry the like, so be careful if you are used to having those conveniences in hotels. The one thing we did want to get cleaned was never sent in, and it took two days to discover this. They did comp 2 restaurant charges, so they made up nice. Staff was very friendly, concierge a pleasure to talk to. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking distance form my meetings"
Great room and very relaxing. I could not enjoy the work out room because left early and came by late to do work. Room was quiet and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"What great hotel"
Amazing hotel for the price, protected by the historic society so the architecture was beautiful. Center of the city, club called Lima is across the street, nice place if you want to let loose one night. Only complaint was it was $42 for valet parking but no big deal, I found a place on my own for half the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Service and Location"
I had an excellent room with excellent service, and it is a very short walk to the metro. Perfect location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great time passing through DC. From our greeting at the street to breakfast the next day was perfect. Being just a couple blocks from the White House made it easy to see some of the sites of DC on our overnight stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel at a great downtown location"
Room was small in size but comfortable enough to relax. Staff was very helpful and privided me with all the information I needed as well as booking some of my tours. I would definitely come back to stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"close to attactions but no pool average hotel"
No pool ,paid for extra person in room and staff tried charging us for breakfast. overall close to center but nothing extraordinary and expensive.Genuine Expedia guest review
"rollin with the rolling stones and crowne plaza"
we chose this hotel because it was a 10 minute walk to the verizon center and we were only staying one nite so we wanted to be close and comfortable and not spend a million dollars... it was perfect from the minute we pulled up with our valet greeting us and then the concierge answering all of our questions and actually taking us over and sitting us […] down and showing us the closest sites on the laptop..the attendant took our bags to our room and we left right after that to roam the city and it was perfect because we felt like we had a guide thru our concierges suggestions..then the concert . we went outside and was hailed a cab and it was great..we felt like royalty..the next day we slept in,,loved the awesomely comfortable rooms..soooo clean..then left our stuff with the bag guy till we roamed the city some more and then rolled out.. from start to finish it was excellent..cant wait for another concert and a chance to stay there again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, comfortable, conveniently located"
Second stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the hotel is within walking distance of K Street, the White House and other key sites.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location for exploring DC on foot"
Loved the convenient location--we walked EVERYWHERE and appreciated the centrally located home base. We drove into DC, parked our car with valet at the hotel, and never looked at it again until we left for a day trip to the Mount Vernon Estate and then home. The staff was friendly. The lobby was inviting and our room was in good condition. One side […] of our bed was a bit too soft and sloping, but otherwise everything was to our liking (and my husband took that side of the bed!). The rates were competitive. "Good spot, terrible parking"
I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. It was nicely decorated and had good service. I was not happy about paying almost $60 for one night. Unfortunately there were no over night parking garages so I had no choice but to pay it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed the stay. Hotel restuarant was fairly pricey and the park next door was a little sketchy at night, other than that it was very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best. Beds. Ever."
Stayed here for three days, two nights in June 2013 with a friend. The room and the hotel itself were lovely. The beds were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel room!! Nice location - walking distance from lots of the touristy sights. Great restaurants and such right nearby too. It's in a busy area where I felt safe. Every one of […] the hotel staff members that we encountered with were helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful weekend! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Centrally located, great hotel staff"
This hotel is older but its location and updates have given it a fantastic style in the heart of the city close to everything. I was able to walk to the Smithsonian, take a cab, and the white house. The restaurant has a Seafood Stew to die for!!!! best in the world. The bartenders are fun and very attentive, and the service is top notch. Only down side […] is the cost of parking...shesh 48 bucks a day! Its DC. Down the street out the front door to the right is a post office and a wonderful breakfast house. Enjoyed it. In a bustling part of town for locals with several clubs around area but not far for a bike ride to the Smithsonian or walk to the White House. I was lucky enough to receive a room with a view of the park which was not a good thing at night. Made it very hard to sleep at night with the nightlife - constant honking, loud music playing and cars zooming […] by. Hotel lobby was overall very nice and the 14K restaurant was delicious and had many patrons. As for my room; wifi was not included and was $14, the bathtub floor was stained and there was no bath robe which is typical of most hotels. Lastly, I think it's a DC thing but do NOT let the bellhop grab you a cab to the airport. They pawn you off to their contacts who end up upcharging you. Just get your own taxi or uber! I travel weekly for work and I booked this hotel as a "treat" to myself on my last night in DC. However when I finally found the hotel (GPS did not have the correct address on my phone) I pulled up to Valet and there was nobody to greet me. I stool outside with my bag for about 5 minutes before someone came out to ask if I was going to park my car. […] They charge $50 to part your car overnight, even if you are staying in the hotel - the front desk explained I could walk blocks down the street and park my car in a garage which obviously I was not going to do with a week's worth of luggage. Finally, I am a rewards member and I enjoy a "thank you for staying with us" but never received it. Clean and nice facility but I didn't get customer service I thought I would. I left feeling disappointed that I paid the extra money when I get better customer service from a Holiday Inn Express. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and amenities in Washington, D.C."
We have a great stay. The hotel staff and amenities were excellent. The only drawback was the Sunday brunch was a bit understaffed, but the food and friendliness of the staff were excellent. This is a great location for Washington sightseeing, and the room was very comfortable. All in all, it was a great stay. i would recommend the hotel to others.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Metro station"
First two (2) nights were great. The third night I got no sleep due to club noise down the street, fights outside on the side-walk, and police lights due to those issues. Good location for my visit and easy access to the Metro station down the street. Staff were very helpful when I asked them questions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close enough to walk to the White House"
It is close enough to catch the Metro Train from DCA airport to the hotel and walk to the White House.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect getaway for a day in the city."
Great accommodations! Centrally located in the city near all the sites and restaurants. We had a great room with a great view. It was perfect. "Graduation weekend at Crowne Plaza Hamilton"
Perfect location; clean; personable and helpful staff. Bummed that internet charged per day and per device. In this day and age, frankly, I expect free internet. Nice buffet brunch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We stay there for five days. The attention and the facilities were excellent. The location is great you can walk to any of the museums or monuments. Great cost too.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good in a pinch."
Elevators, hallways and hallway ceilings were all somewhat claustrophobic (small, low, tight). Mattress, shower and air conditioning were all good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel and staff were great. Was in town for an even at The Hamilton Live which was a few blocks away. Check in was fast, rooms were imaculate and very stylish. Only complaint was that the room and hotel was very warm. The hallways were as if the heat was on and I thought I'd hate to see what it's like in the middle of summer. Our room, though thermostat […] was turned down to a chilly temp, never got cool enough. The beds were very comfotable with what seemd to be a feather pillow topper on the matress which in combination with the lack of cold enough A/C, kept your body warmth in and I found it warm all night and not fully getting a good night sleep. Perhaps it was just our room but whatever the reason I would think twice before booking this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel at reasonable price"
No complaints, good service, nice room ... though they did upgrade me to a little suite. Great location.Genuine Expedia guest review
Positives: From doormen to check-in staff to room service to housekeeping to concierge (and anything in between) I can only say they went far beyond basic service. We actually left feeling like favored family members. Negative: TV service. The hotel is obviously having some sort of issues with television channels. Some disappear totally for a while, […] and most do not appear in sequential numbers. If you found a channel you liked, it was best to stay there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Nice Hotel Close to Everything"
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hamilton. A great location, you can walk to the White House, monuments, Smithsonian, Capitol, etc. The room was exceptionally comfortable and very clean. The bed was heavenly. The hotel is also close to Dupont Circle, an easy walk to lots of great restaurants and shops, but far enough to be nice and quiet at night. […] It also is great to have a Starbucks attached for an early morning coffee! I would definitely stay here again. The staff was helpful and courteous, the room lovely, the location great. "great for everyone!"
This was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help you get a cab. This hotel was very close to restaurants, bars and the Metro. We were able to walk most of the sites from here.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was small but clean and comfortable, noise from outside was minimal. Location was great, within walking distance from National Mall. On-site Starbucks was convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff is very accommodating. Our first night, it was very loud and noisy because our room was facing the front street. As soon as I mentioned that to the front desk, they moved us to a much quieter room. The rooms are very small but clean. We did not spend a lot of time in our room so it was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Enjoyable weekend at the Crowne"
Room was neat and clean, very nice decor. People were friendly and helpful. The only criticism is the lack of space at the entrance. Being downtown, there is very little room to pull up and get out. But I highly recommend the hotel for its service, comfort and location to sites.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was ok but we have had better. It took way too long to get an elevator (usually could get on the 3rd or 4th one, first few were usually full). The shower curtain rod was all rust. The people in the next room were way too loud. The last morning we were there we went down to breakfast (the only time we ate there during our visit), $60.00 later […] for cold food from the buffet and the service was the worst we have had in a very long time starting with the hostess who couldn't even smile, the waiter who (lets just say I never did get my drink) and the one poor guy working the eggs and the roast for the buffet could not do more than one thing at a time (when asked by another customer for something he just looked at the customer then ignored him). When we did check out the front desk did not even bother to ask us how our stay was. So needless to say "never again". The one thing I can say they did right was direct us to the best Italian restaurant we have been to in a long time just one block down. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
