Hotel was close to the airport so that great.But I hate hate hate all the parking fees in San Franciso.

This is a great value for the price and superbly located. Close to the main attractions - Union Square, restaurants, shops, and you can hop into the trolley to Fisherman's Wharf. I also liked the lobby bar and the restaurant food, along with service. A couple of minor issues: (a) the bathroom is extremely small - very similar to boutique hotels in […] NY; (b) they charge for the internet in the room as well as the lobby. The Hotel Marriott Union Square is located in a con-venient section, making shopping an easy walk to San Francisco stores. We definitely will come back to this hotel the next time we are in San Francisco.

A bit pricy for me. Lucky that we were allowed to check in early. Smoky smell in my room at first. Treated and cleared by the staff by the time we returned from lunch. Very helpful bellhop who arranged our shuttle to the airport. A very comfortable stay. Will stay again if the price is right.

"Great Experience!"
I loved the hotel. In town for a marathon and I was 1 block from the start line! In addition, the room was clean and comfortable. What I'm most happy with, though, is how hotels.com made sure I got what I reserved. Great customer service!

Nice remodel. Someone on our floor was smoking that you could smell out in the hall, but the room did not let the smell of smoke in. Front desk was doing their job, but if you let your spouse check in make sure they have your reservation number if they are not on the reservation. Perfect location. Right in the middle of everything.
Very nice hotel. The room and bathroom were on the small side. Room and was clean and efficient. The room did not have a safe for storing valuables and I find that unacceptable in today's environment. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great choice! Got exactly what I was hoping for. Very friendly staff, clean rooms (booked another room for a friend), renovated, hotel close to everything. Wonderful location! Been to sf a million times so i appreciate a new, well kept hotel compared to the older overpriced (need I say stuffy?) hotels that this neighborhood has to offer. If the rates are fair stay here. Hotel is only 2 yrs old and everything is nearby. Great valet service. Ps not romantic. More of a tourist or business trip. If ur taking ur significant other […] or want to impress ur current fling find something "sexier". Marriotts are not that vibe. Read more

The hotel is newly built with modern design, in the middle of downtown SF. Very comfortable rooms, with nice view of the bay. Nice gym and very helpful front desk. Highly recommended

The location of the hotel is fantastic - only one block from Union Square. The trolley runs next to hotel to Fisherman's Wharf and back. Can't beat that, really. Room was comfortable and clean. We had partial view of bay. It was nice. At check-in, I asked for a corner room (would have paid additional rate, if necessary). Was told we had a corner room. […] We had an end room (one window not two sided). Minor complaint, really. Bathroom was small. Really only room for one person at a time. Valet parking available at hotel or next door, very convenient but also very pricey!! Recommend hotel to anyone wanting to visit San Francisco. Read more
"Near Union Square"
This is a relatively new hotel, about a block or so from Union Square. Convenient to retail and some restaurants, but a cab needed to get to the really good ones. Standard room features and amenities for a hotel in this category. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This Marriott is a hidden gem off of Union Square. I stayed here when it was being remodeled & was called Hotel 480. The staff are very friendly & the room was very clean & comfortable. It's walking distance to everything you need at Union Square. I highly recommend staying here & will do so again.

A many years, frequent user of Union Sq hotels. Being directly across the street from a good diner & major Rx store was so convenient. One block from a public garage. Room size is typical size-price for the location. Bathroom is smaller than usual but adequate, with a great bed, if you need it simply for bath & sleep.

Incredible location. Close to everything. Consierge was excellent. Food at restaurant was great. Rooms were nice but a little small. Particularly the bathroom. I would certainly reccommend the hotel to others. One thing that was a little "off-putting" was the fact that we extended our stay by one day and they charged us significantly more for the extra […] night which was a Saturday night. Great hotel that's close to everything. Room was clean and comfy. The bar is perfect to meet for business or socially and relax, or head out and see the city. I saw several people in airline uniforms staying here, which is usually a good sign that it's clean, reliable, and reasonably priced. the staff at the front desk could be a bit more courteous and friendly, and the parking is convenient but way too expensive. it's actually run by a different company so you need to be careful they don't bill you twice. we arrived at 5am and still got charged the full day fare. the lcoation of the hotel is very good, and the room was clean though on […] the smaller size. the hotel can use some sprucing up...at quick glance, everything looks new and modern, but if you look carefully, you can see the wear and tear in the elevator and the guest room hallways.
