The hotel was going through remodeling. The hallway was not carpeted at this time. But our room was fine. Ok service. A couple ladies were nice, then the others we dealt with acted like they had better things to do.

Hotel was going through a renovation and we didn't know until it was too late. The front lobby was filled with dust and construction so we had to enter from the side door of the hotel. We checked in at a sleeping room. The room was nice and clean but the common areas were full of lamps, etc.

Signs said that the 2nd floor was under renovation. However, our room was on the 2nd floor and I didn't see a thing out of place nor were there sounds of construction of any type. Check-in was the eases and fastest I've ever experienced. 2minutes, 3 at the most, I had my room keys and was headed to the room. Next morning, my grandson and I got down […] stairs late for breakfast but the young lady working the breakfast area maid sure we still got what we wanted. Notice that I said, "my grandson and I". My wife was still in bed snoozing away. She called her mom, her brother and our son and raved about how comfortable the bed was. She said, and I agree, that the mattress slept better than any we've ever tried. That's saying a lot because I'm 63 years old and has done a lot of traveling. Read more

When I booked the hotel, I told the operator that we needed 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. She replied each time that the hotel room did have that set up - only to arrive and be told the hotel has no such room. Her mis-information made for a very uncomfortable night on a very long trip. As a result, I will NEVER use hotels.com again.

Excellent, convenient location. Overall excellent. Two comments - young baseball teams were staying in hotel and were obviously having an excellent time at the the pool. This was not disturbing until we found out the pool did not close until 11 pm. With my early morning obligations at the conference I was attending, this was not OK. I really wished […] the hotel management would reconsider the pool closing hours to accommodate early risers. The room appeared very clean and well-kept except that there were indication under the toilet seat that this area had been neglected prior to our use of the room. I pointed this out to the lovely young lady at the desk a few minutes prior to us finally leaving out room. In less than 10 minutes there was a knock at the door and housekeeping was there to correct the issue. You have to hand it to them to made immediate steps to rectify any issue a customer has. Because of their swift response, I would stay in this hotel again if I were to need accommodations in this area again. Read more

The Fairfield in Pearl is a good hotel. However, I'm one of those neanderthals who still relies upon the computers provided by the hotel itself, rather than upon my own laptop or phone. Both the computers in the Fairfield were infected by viruses and rendered useless. This is my one gripe. Otherwise, as I said, the Fairfield is a solid choice.

checked in to this fantastic hotel on the last day of our 3 week driving vacation, needless to say we were a little weary. we were greeted by a very friendly lady who went above and beyond to accomodate our needs and answered all our questions. our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, comfortable and quite. upon our return from dinner we were met […] by the smell of complimentary fresh baked cookies--very tasty--and a perfect way to end the day. breakfast was very good with a large selection to choose from. we left rested, full, and very satisfied with out stay. this hotel definitely deserves a 5-star plus rating. This hotel met our expectations. The room was clean and stocked with appropriate supplies. One unexpected surprise was an employee there to assist in waffle making and refilling breakfast products as needed. Overall, an average hotel experience with average price. I would stay here again, if the need arose.
