"Hate the parking"
Either valet park or pay to park in the garage!!!!! Really!!! Valet should of been free considering the amount I paid to stay there!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all must see sights"
THe hotel was in a great location and the staff was excellent! Our King Size room was kind of small, but other than that, I would reccommend the Double Tree Donwntown Atlanta to everyone!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First trip to Atlanta, GA"
My family and I had a blast. The hotel is in an old building, but has modern taste to the inside. Location was great. In the heart of downtown Atlanta. Staff was excellent. Will definitely make another trip to Atlanta, and I will stay at the Double Tree by the Hilton DowntownGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I absolutely loved the double tree. It was do relaxing and the view of downtown Atlanta was amazing. The beds were super soft and comfortable I definitely will be booking again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was not nice enough to require $30 valet parking. And there was no place to do laundry. However one of the ladies downstairs Offered to do mine for free.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel parking fee is crazy....it's valet only and $30 a night. There's no free breakfast, and for the rate per night...that's crazy. Rooms are very small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to Aquarium but showing it's age."
THis older hotel has changed hands (and names) many times. It is now in line to become a Hilton Inn after a major refurbishment. Of course the quality will then go up and so will the prices. It is, none the less, within and easy walk of the Georgia Aquarium and CNN which is why we chose it in the first place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for Philips"
Good rate and perfect location. Just a bit leery of Spring Street coming back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Weekend getaway for Aquarium & Braves"
Front desk was rude. Car was valet parked, but we had no assistance getting our bags to our rooms. We were hurried, with too many bags in hand to get any smaller items out of car. I tried keeping an open mind but continued to worry as we made it to our rooms. Food on the elevators, half eaten candy bars on the table as you exit the elevator, as well […] as beer & food sitting outside of doors. Room Floor 4- The lock/latch on the door was broken off and in the floor. There was a wet handprint, with a substance dripping from it on the headboard. On the balcony was a pack of someone's Newports & a dirty cup. The remote didn't work. The Exit sign in the hallway was hanging sideways. The toilet clogged & when the maid was asked for a plunger she said she didn't speak English. Fresh towels were brought but the dirty ones never taken. The trash was never taken & the bed was never made. People were screaming in the hallway until 5am. The drapes were held up with a paper clip. Room floor 8- The remote didn't work & the shower backed up so that you thought it'd overflow before you got the soap off. I would definitely advise on checking in early in case your room is in the condition of ours. After a 6 hour drive & at such a late hour we didn't have it in us to switch rooms or do all the arguing to get it fixed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great rooms clean. Service personal was friendly! And unlimited fresh baked cookies it the best part!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I recently stayed two nights at this hotel on vacation with my husband and baby. I was not impressed. The hotel is in a downtown area where parking is a premium... in fact, it's valet only at $30/ night. The entire area was under construction... we struggled to navigate the sidewalks with the stroller. The area was safe enough during the day...a little […] scary driving through at night. The room was clean for the most part... the carpet was pretty dirty. The furniture was old and damaged. The maid service the day we stayed over consisted of adding additional towels to the wet ones that were in there, and making the bed. The in- room coffee is terrible bit they have Starbucks downstairs, for a price. Basically, I felt nickled and dimed for every little thing. And since we were downtown and exhausted, we had little option other than to pay their prices. If we ever return, we'll be staying at the Hampton across the street. "Tolerable for a Quick Stay"
The good: Comfortable bed No bedbugs Clean sheets Friendly customer service The bad: - Bath Towels damp upon arrival -Tile in room had wet sheen (from humidity in room or left over cleaning product) - room very humid -humid, wet smell in hallways and elevator -Old hotel, evident (not in the quaint way)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
overall the hotel and services great. However the location was okay there was a lot of construction around the area at that time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall the stay at this hotel was great. The location is right in the middle of downtown Atlanta. We walked almost everywhere we went because it was that close. We went for the Bronner Brothers hair show and was able to walk no more than ten minutes to the World Congress Center. The staff were friendly and helpful on things to do in the city. The downside […] of the hotel was that parking is $30 a night for valet. Upon arrival I didn't know that parking would be that way especially since this was my first time staying downtown but I was understanding of the fee due to the hotel's location. "loved our stay"
We loved our stay and would probably love to stay again. the only complaint I have is, when we were attempting to check out our car was not located in a timely manner. apparently valet forgot to give us a ticket upon checking in and when we were checking out it took a little longer than expected to locate our car. but overall the stay was wonderful […] and the staff was very friendly. "Nice For a Short Stay"
My fiancé and I stayed here for one night. The location is convenient. Pretty close to the new Skyview Ferris Wheel. The room clean but a little small. The room we had also did not have a microwave or fridge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Downtown is changing for the better"
The hotel is in a great location for the Aquarium, Coke tour, nice dining and much to look at. The employees were kind and informed. I have two complaints. There was an extra charge for parking and internet in the room that wasn't mentioned in advance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Chose a hotel close to the Georgia Dome"
Wasn't told that the parking fee is $30 per night. Couldn't use public parking garages because they were In and Out garages. Safe in room did not work. No maid service one day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, staff was friendly"
The rooms were clean and the valet was great. Had a overall good experience. The staff was accommodating and if in Atlanta again I will definitely return to this hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
"First da ac needs to be fixed"
Ac never worked properly they also took to long when u wd ask for somethingGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, very friendly staff"
After checking out, we were allowed to leave our car valet parked until 4:00; plenty of time to walk to the GA Aquarium, spend a few hours, and walk back. Not having to worry about parking at the aquarium made up for the overpriced breakfast buffet. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable, I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Parking $30 plus tax ! Nothing nearby within walking distance. WiFi extra $. Noisy hallways.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location in downtown. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Quiet rooms except we were near the elevator and could hear it ding. Staff very helpful and polite. About a 10 min. drive to Turner field. Walking distance to other attractions downtown. 30$ for valet parking but not required, there are lots around the hotel that are cheaper. Outdoor pool […] was nice. Good location within walking distance of many attractions. One downfall , our room was by elevator which made things very noisy. We didn't realize what a problem it would be until later that night when trying to sleep. Other than that hotel was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"lets see if i can find something nice to say"
the only nice thing i can say is it was convient to other things in Atlanta and the valet staff was very friendly.....I spend almost $200 for a night in a room that the bathtub faucet was coming out of the wall the drain plug was just laying on the side of the tub and was green. The dust on the lamp shade was so thick that I actually thought the shade […] was grey. I had my laptop with me and they wanted to charge for wifi heck you can stay in a motel 6 and get freee wifi..and a contental breakfast...TO SAY THE LEAST i WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Could have been better"
After verifying with my expedia rep that the hotel had wifi in the rooms so that my son could enjoy his xbox game, there was a pool and that we were close to turner field, I felt confident that our trip would be great. We were greeted with friendly parking attendants that were happy to park our car for thirty dollars a night. The front desk wasn't Rude […] or overly friendly. The tv was set up so that you were unable to hook up the xbox. There was one lady at the front desk that said let me try to help you. The two people I talked to before that just apologized. We found out that the hotel had changed companies that dealt with their television. So xbox was not an option. But we did receive suggestions to watch one of the movies offered in the room which was twenty dollars per movie. We ordered a pizza that was burnt on top and undercooked underneath. It was thirty dollars. After eating I decided to take a shower but the towels had very long stains on each of them. The pool was nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Right in the middle of Atlanta, room was comfortable and clean, friendly staff enjoyed our stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location...close to all the main attractions but the bathtub and sink were clogged, the sheets and comforter on the bed had stains and were dirty. You can hear everything in the hallway, other rooms and the street. I would not stay here again even though the staff was great, the room was subpar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Parking is expensive, but the location is great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good service, nice people. Location was great. Within walking distance of many of atlanta's attractions. Be careful walking at night, not the best surrounding area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed the stay. Need more amenities in the room like a refrigerator and microwave. Also all of the channels that were suppose to work didn't.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good weekend stay"
Good hotel enjoyed the stay but would have like to know about security deposit before I checked in.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel and close to everything"
The people at the hotel that take your bags and park your car where fantastic.. No one likes to pay for parking but it was well worth it. The Staff for parking attendents where helpful in every way. I cant really say I was impressed by the front desk people except for Lucas (Manager).Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice enough downtown hotel"
The hotel was nice, the staff was very helpful. They only have valet parking for $30 per night and the wifi is NOT free. The hotel is walking distance from the downtown sights which was convenient for us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm shocked by some of the "Excellent" reviews of this hotel. We actually cut our stay short because of this place. The room was typical high-density hotel small, the building was old, and showed its age. The WiFi was around $12.95 per day, parking was $30 per day, we ate pizza, wings & dessert in the hotel one evening and the bill was over $100! Our […] air conditioner leaked all over the closet floor, and would NOT keep the room at a comfortable temperature. This was just outrageous. The only positive was that this place was one-block from Centennial Park. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
One block walk from the Peachtree MARTA stop, convenient to Centennial Park. Food in the hotel bar was good. Only complaint: we stayed two nights and the housekeeping was only fair: they made the beds but seem to have skipped the bathroom, and they draped our used towels over the toilet tank without providing fresh ones.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I'll be back for sureGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was very nice, room was clean. Only thing I didn't like was the 30 dollar pArking fee each dayGenuine Expedia guest review
"The view I had from my room was nice."
The room was clean but a small room everything close together. It is in the heart of downtown and has a nice view. Walking distance to all the local attractions which were nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice hotel, good location, very good serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Double Tree was excellent. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and courtious. The pool and pool area were well kept. The room was in great shape.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is more than satisfactory. Pretty fancy by my standards (motels mostly). The area is a bit dead in the evenings as it is mostly full of hotels, but it is easily accessible to other areas through both MARTA/car. Also there is fairly affordable parking in the area if you don't want to valet. And there's a warm cookie upon your arrival!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Georgia Aquarium"
Cleanliness of room/hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was great, bed was very comfortable. Staff were always friendly and available for questions or assistance. Breakfast resturant was understaffed for the amount of "Convention attendees" staying at the hotel but food was fine. Went down to Waffle House the 2nd day, just less than 2 blocks away for 1/4 the cost, faster service and better food (although […] not as healthy I'm sure). 20 years ago I would not have recommended this end of downtown for a hotel stay, I must say with everything Centenial Park has done for changing downtown it was wonderful! I still would not walk more than a block west. The area around UGA and Underground is still not walkable for a single female during the day or night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"more business than casual"
the hotel was beautiful but geared towards the business executive rather than a young family with small kids. Also you MUST valet park for $30!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
