This was a nice hotel. We had to return early from our vacation for a funeral and our flight got in very late so we stay the night in Austin before returning home. The front desk was very friendly. The room was very nice. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We both have back issues and we both woke up without our usual back aches. We were given a room next door to the fitness center. Arrived late, had a 5 AM wake-up call. Retired near midnight. At 12:15 AM we were roused by the clank of weights in the room next door. I called the front desk and inquired about the hours of the fitness room - 24/7. I then asked why they would put someone in a room next to it who had arrived late […] and was looking at 5 hours sleep before being on the way in the morning. No answer except to offer a change of rooms - right, we're going to pack everything up and move at 12:30 AM. I have never run into a 24/7 fitness room policy before and most definitely not with a room in use next door. The noise did stop about 15 minutes after my call to the front desk, but I will not be staying in a La Quinta again. Read more

This hotel is only a couple of miles from the airport. The hotel common areas are quite clean and nicely laid out. It offers free breakfast just as most similar business hotels do. There's a Dennys, Starbucks, Subway, and a convenient store within a short walk. However, the room I stayed in could have been cleaned better.

The place was OK and the rooms were clean. The staff was very rude. I had o take my companion to emergency care and they were very rude and unflexible. Our stuff was taken out of the room. We arrived very late on a midnight flight and we believe that they could have been more flexible since the hotel was not full.

Elevator floors and walls dirty. Bathroom floors did not look particularly clean. (My brother speculated that perhaps the wrong floor cleaning agent being used on wood floors and causing them to be sticky?) Window lock broken in first floor room. Howling dogs. Side hotel entrances on first floor unlocked. Was given different room. Reception friendly […] but when we first arrived the one person at reception stayed on phone with co-employee (conversation made it clear it was not a guest) for at least three minutes as we stood there waiting with our elderly father. Ran out of coffee early during complimentary breakfast and trash cans near complimentary breakfast were overflowing. As a result, there was no place to put breakfast trash. During my stay in second floor room there were strange loud noises that seemed to be eminating from third floor. My sister (who stayed on the third floor and did not hear the strange noises) speculated they may have come from an ice machine. All employees were friendly. Read more

Got to my room late night after being bumped from another hotel. The room was spacious and updated, but it had used over-the-counter drug wrappers on the dresser, used tissues in the trash, unflushed paper in the toilet and someone had clearly been laying on the bed. When I called the front desk to have them check that the room had actually been cleaned, […] he confessed that someone had checked in "for a little bit" and then left. He then said "the guest said we didn't need to send housekeeping" so we didn't. After a "sorry about that" -- no offer to send housekeeping or move the room. If there had been another room in Austin available, I would have been the second to check out of that room after being there "for a little bit." Read more

My stay was comfortable and very affordable. I was able to leave my car at the hotel for 2 weeks while I was gone and the car was perfectly secure. Management was friendly and helpful. There were no really nice restaurnats within walking distance...a little disappointing, but I would stay there again. Bill

Nice except for the bed. It was uncomfortable to me. However, I have had 10 back surgeries. I need a firmer bed. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable stay. I would stay again. Good breakfast too. Nice fresh fruit and waffles. Can't beat that.
