"Fun little place"
Pleasantly surprised with this quaint older hotel! It is somewhat like stepping back into yester-year! The restaurant & bar area are tucked in the back of the hotel. The Staff are absolutely Awesome! The weather was not so much in our favor, so we did not venture out by foot! Amish country is a must to see, Berlin, Sugar Creek, Winesburg are all close […] by with lots of local shopping! "Beautiful historic hotel in Amish Country!!!"
My stay at the Hotel Millersburg was fantastic. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Especially the southern woman that worked the front desk! She was so sweet and kind. I would love to come back in the spring or summer and stay again. Lovely hotel. Price was reasonable. Beds and linens were ok, nothing fantastic. Rooms were small and quaint. "Classic hospitality, elegant hotel"
We booked this hotel a week before Labor Day weekend, when all the B&Bs were completely full. We got a great deal on Expedia, which made it okay to have missed out on the loftier facilities. We were very pleased the moment we pulled up. It's a quaint hotel right on the main strip of Millersburg with excellent parking right on the street. The halls are […] lined with prints of historical documents as well as some original portraits and marriage certificates. The rooms are true to the period and tastefully decorated with modern amenities. The hotel restaurant and bar boasts talented, courteous staff and delicious food. Watch out for the steaks, however - make sure you ask the cook not to cut into the meat while checking for doneness. Mine ended up dry as a result. The host apologized profusely and explained that the cook was new and had been instructed to do so by the manager until she was seasoned in grilling (excuse the pun). No worries - Worcestershire sauce and a dry wine made the meal just fine. The weekend lady at the front desk took extra time to suggest places to visit on Sunday, since most places were closed. I enjoyed chatting with her very much. Clever housekeeping - she saw that I was quick to scarf up the coffee and left 2 packets the next day! Well done, all! We'll certainly be back! The air con was not working so used a small fan in the room - very hot. Although the owner did offer to move us we decided to stay and go with the fan. A great hotel, loved it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"What a lovely, undiscovered gem"
We stayed 2 nights and wish we could have stayed 3. It is well located to explore the entire Amish area of Ohio. It is a great get-a-way as it is loaded with old world charm and great ambiance. The staff was super nice and the owner comes around to make sure you have everything you need. Nice homey atmosphere. Good hotel to meet for business, as rooms provided for that w/conference table and chairs. Charming quilts and warm rooms. Would have enjoyed good breakfast, even if needed to pay more.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice old hotel right on the main street."
The only complaint was the to small of a pillow. No big thing though. The room was quiet and clean. The employees were very frendly and wanting to help in any way they could. Though the restaurant didn't open till 10.00 AM, the food and service was outstanding. We ate lunch and dinner there and it was great. I would recomend this hotel to everyone. "Classic19th century hotel near Amish country."
We enjoyed the late 1800's atmosphere with modern convienences. Our room was very comfortable, though not large. Dinner was available without leaving the building and the courtyard with live entertainment was an unexpected treat.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Better than I expected"
Very enjoyable We didn't spend much time in our room nor did we eat at the restaurant but it was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay there again. The room was small but considering the age of the building and what we use the room for it was more than adequate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A wonderful place to stay"
We stayed here one night while attending a wedding in the area. This hotel is very quaint. the rooms were small and older but clean. The bed was a little lumpy and the AC window unit a little hard to regulate, but other than that we were satisfied. The hotel is on the main street and we parked on the street. "Beautiful but noisy"
Accomodations were clean and very acceptable. The building is beautiful. The only complaint I had was the noise level until approximately 11:30pm. You can hear everything from the people in the halls, room nextdoor, but the worst was the noise from the main floor (we were on the 2nd floor). It sounded like everything was happening right next to me. […] We are early to bed early to rise people, so that was disturbing, but after 11:30 ALL was quiet! "Old but clean"
The hotel was ok but the neighborhood was subpar! Bums and motorcycles! The hotel restaurant food was average but large portions!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Hotel has been done with great effort to look as it did in the 1800. Old photo everywhere with all the modern teleology.Genuine Expedia guest review
The public areas were very quaint and featured many nice antiques and interesting artifacts. The staff was very accomodating and kind. My only complaint was the mattress. It was way too firm. If our stay had been more than 2 nights, I would have had to find another room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were surprised at how clean our room was. The restaurant had delicious food. Overall great experience.. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent, but you could tell they weren't clean. There was dust all around the edges of the floors. The hotel began operation in 1847, and I think that's when the mattress was from also. It was terribly uncomfortable. We will not go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We love it here!"
We have stayed here for over 5 years now everytime we come to Millersburg and never had any issuesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
When reading a lot of the reviews for this hotel I thought it would be a wonderful place to stay. I was wrong. The room was clean enough and I wasn't looking for anything huge but it was absolutely freezing. The only heat comes from a wall unit that for some reason would only turn on about once an hour for a couple minutes even when we put it on it's […] highest setting and it was the beginning of January so it was cold and we needed more heat than that. We did get the extra blanket we asked for but it wasn't enough to keep up warm and toasty. Also the bed and pillows were rock hard. We both woke up with our backs and necks in pain wanting nothing more than to get back home to our own bed. We ended up leaving at 4am because we couldn't take it anymore. "Great Hotel if you're staying in the area!"
The only negitive thing that I can say about our room was the fact that the bed frame was broken and we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. Other than that the bed was comfy, just went downhill slightly.Genuine Expedia guest review

This was a very old unique hotel. The ambience was neat. The room was furnished with dated antiques which brought you back to the early 19th century. The room and bathroom were very very clean. "Consistently Pleasant Stay."
My wife & I love this hotel, and have stayed here on more than one occasion. It's in an historic building & reminds one of vintage hotels, which I think is the attraction. What you're getting is a good night's sleep in a clean, comfortable room. There are few amenities, save for a flat screen tv with a fair number of cable channels, and a good restaurant […] on the ground floor. It has sort of a nostalgic charm to it, so if it's a modern hotel with several bars, a swimming pool and fitness room you're after, you'll want to stay someplace else. For us, a night away from home in a romantic setting is what we were looking for, and this hotel never fails to provide that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Historical but needs updated significantly!"
Very old and quaint but needs updated significantly. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and seemed as old as the hotel. Our room was very dusty and carpets were dirty.Genuine Expedia guest review
Charming little hotel. Rooms clean and everything in good repair. Just a note: they need to pay attention to comfort. We had a queen bed, and although the room was small, there was room for it to be shoved over away from the wall more than it was - there was just about 8 inches between the side of the bed and the wall, and no lamp on that side of the […] bed either. It is small things like that that make a difference in the comfort of the room. Nice people, good service. Decent restaurant in the hotel, but no breakfast service. We spent three nights here. Because it dtaes back to the 1840's, rooms were small and the stairs long. All other things were great. Arriving just before the dining room closed at 9 PM, the owners, Mr. and Mrs Robinson, arrange to have the kitchen remain open so we could have some dinner. The next day, Mr. Robinson recommended a local place for breakfast. […] We had lunch and dinner at the hotel dinning room, both of which were delicious and reasonably priced. On Friday, Mrs. Robinson helped me surprise my wife with roses for our anniversary. The owners were gracious hosts and the staff was always pleasant and helpful. The hotel is beautifully appointed with antique furnitture, historical pictures and many other warm touches. I highly recommend this hotel for a quiet and quaint getaway in Amish country. "Expectations & understanding..."
This is an old hotel. An updated one, a historic one, a convenient one (depending on where you want to be), but it is limited because of age & location. The standard rooms are small, possibly to the point of being claustraphobic but nevertheless are quite adequate & very comfortable. Located nearly in the dead center of town (& the town is small) there […] is some on-street parking & a public lot almost directly behind the hotel. Depending on the things you want to do...it is very convenient. There are several antique shops & the like. Some local type 'watering holes' & a nearby nicer bar/restaurant---Bags (Golf themed decor. The hotel restaurant is ok but only serves lunch & dinner from a small kitchen. The bar is awkwardly placed in the middle of it. Everything is quite reasonable however. The little used sitting room in the front of the hotel seems more conducive to a bar location but it, like the rest of the place has a certain mismatched charm. The staff & owner are quite nice, a bit reserved pehaps but still very willing to help or offer suggestions for activities. I would have like to have seen the suites but just never got around to it so I cannot comment on them as far as size & amenities. Millersburg besides having many historic buildings (a Victorian Museum, the courthouse, etc) has a very nice rail-trail (approx 16 miles long) that is within walking distance from the hotel. It is used by many, including the Amish with their horse & buggys. While there is not much else in the vein of shopping downtown, there are other things including a Wally-mart just outside of it. But if you're there to peruse the Amish goods & wares, you will be about 7 miles from Walnut Creek & 14 or so from Sugercreek. Personally, I preferred the quiet & quaintness of the town in comparison to the B&B's & Inns along Routes 39/62. Also, we found it enjoyable to just walk around town...on sidewalks! The thing to keep in mind is your expectations, patience, & understanding in what a small Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I am sure it would have been nice, since I have stayed in the Motel, and found it to be a very rewarding experience.
