"Stay at La Quinta Hotel in New Orleans"
Just about everything at hotel was great. It would have been nice to know about the parking before arriving at hotel. Most of my complaints would have to be with Hotel.com. Had asked for King-sized beds and had poor double beds.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Front desk staff very friendly Water pressure in bathroom is very poor Microwave at breakfast not workong and wasnt fixed Descent priced hotel close to french quarterGenuine Expedia guest review
I've been to New Orleans many times and always stayed at the high in hotels , but this time it was a last minute trip and ppl funds where low so I found this hotel. The price wasn't cheap but affordable. We missed are connecting flight Thursday night and the hotel was nice enough not to charge us for that night. The guest service girl Brittney was so […] very helpful in getting us in a room side by side and anything else we need. The hotel had a water perrsure problem but nothing to be alarmed it comes right back up. Yes I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great room! Except..."
This is a great hotel. Close to everything. Room is great except the bathroom. The toilet doesn't flush well and the water will scorch your skin off!! No cold water from the shower. The front desk didn't help me much with a hold on my card after paying in cash!!! Mostly the staff is great and the convenience of everything is worth it!! Wifi is pretty […] good and breakfast was great. So other than the bathroom and one person on the hotel staff, this is a great hotel! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Good hotel. Price was raised for Jazz Fest. Good location, right off Canal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to French quarter"
The room was not clean (dust on the table, a hair in the bath tub...), but the hotel is really close to French quarter.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Don't get an adjoining room"
I've stayed here before w/ friends for Jazz Fest. Great location and $50-100 cheaper than the nicest NOLA hotels. Why spend a lot when you are never in the room? But this time was just me & my husband & our days of staying out super late are over. We were put in probably the worst room: directly across the gym, a tiny window facing a wall & adjoining […] another room. We awoke at 3am to the noise of the couple next door having a conversation. They were talking loud but not enough that we should be able to hear every word! At 7am, we were awoken again by the sound of their toilet flushing. Did I mention that our shower had mold and didn't drain? We asked to be moved and were given a much nicer room. It would have stayed nice if housekeeping cleaned it but they seemed to have forgotten. Besides that, all was ok until 4am Monday when someone pulled the fire alarm. I know the hotel can't be at fault for guest immaturity, but it pretty much summed up our stay. In my haste to leave the 1st room I left a pair of pricey jeans in the bottom drawer. I specifically put them away b/c they were my airplane pants & I wouldn't need them again until we left. I was told they were not found. I know where I left them & when, so to say I am disappointed is an understatement. I'm mad that a hotel can operate where its OK to steal people's belongings. Finally, b/c of the many issues we had I spoke to many of the workers there. Most were very kind and helpful, but a few were almost rude. Never again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable hotel close to downtown."
Overall the hotel was reasonably priced, clean and had an excellent staff. The only negative was the plumbing was rather loud with the sound of rattling pipes in the wall. The water pressure in the shower was also not consistent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Within walking distance to French quarter"
Room wasn't really clean, ie bathroom, desk, carpet. Beds were comfy. Every room should have a frig. Terrible view.Genuine Expedia guest review
Pluses: good location, nice room layout and simple decor, breakfast is a bonus; minuses: even though to room was cleaned at check-in, during the stay it was lousy - no vacuuming the carpet or mopping sticky floor and the bathtub showed signs of mildew. For the cost I expected better cleanup service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs a Major Overhaul"
Gave me a lesser room than I paid for and could not put me in correct room until next day. New room had no chair. Water system is worse than most cheap European hotels. Sometimes all hot. Sometimes no water pressure. Taking a shower was a hoot. Would not stay here again until the do a major overhaul .Genuine Expedia guest review
GOOD LOCATION. CLOSE TO ROYAL(3 BLOCKS) AND BOURBON(4 BLOCKS) STREETS. ONLY 8 BLOCKS STRAIGHT DOWN THE STREET TO JACKSON SQUARE AND FRENCH QUATER. STAFF WAS GREAT. DO NOT GET A ROOM CLOSE BY ELEVATOR BECAUSE THE OTHER PATRONS MAY NOT CARE HOW LOUD THEY ARE GOING OR COMING.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A few issues on this visit including two room changes due to a broken door lock and a smelly (vomit) room. Then some night time drama with very noisy neighbors. In their defense it was a busy weekend in New Orleans and the staff did their best to help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel close to French Quarter in New Orleans"
Nice loacation and good staff members. One shortcoming is that there is no safe (locker) at room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good news/bad news"
First the good news: location is gr8 (2 blocks to French Quarter). The room was huge & came with mini-fridge, coffee-maker, microwave, hair-dryer, iron & ironing board. The staff was friendly. The bad news: Housekeeping starts promptly at 9am, & if you'd rather sleep in, they probably won't come back later. On our 5-day stay, we got housekeeping only […] once. If you don't want early-bird housekeeping, ask for an upper-floor room (there are 15 floors) since lower floors get cleaned first, & the view is better from up high too. The water never gets really hot ... you'll have to settle for warmish showers. When we complained they acted shocked & said no one else complained, but we heard others in the elevator complain about the same thing, & the problem was never fixed. There were 2 fire-drills during the 5 days we were there, which seems excessive & was a pain. We had a big flat-screen TV, but channel selection sucked (extremely basic cable), & there was a "Channel Unavailable" message on ALL channels more than half the times we turned on the TV. The bad news items definitely outnumbered the good news items, but the good news was more important, especially the gr8 location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
hotel not very friendly was dissapointed feel staff used car while in parking garage things were not left the way we left itGenuine Expedia guest review
Our first time staying at this hotel. We were there for French Quarter Fest and a few days before. It's our favorite festival. The weather was great except for the flash hail storm. Good food, good music and a city full of interesting people.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A good stay overall, but horrible water pressure!"
Overall, I did enjoy my stay but the water pressure was horrible. The morning of my departure the water coming from the shower was not even a trickle. This happened four times and between 30 seconds to a minute each time. You can imagine how frustrating this was.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We LOVED our stay at this La Quinta. The location is perfect, the facility is beautifully decorated and the rooms are spacious and well layed out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms are clean and comfortable, location was great, breakfast was good. Choose a different hotel if you intend to use the fitness center, though. The weight machine was missing two attachments that seriously limited its usefulness.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"My parents liked it a lot"
I booked it for my parents, and they said location was superb to explore New Orleans. Concierge was very good about arranging an out-of-the city tour for them. Breakfast was pretty good. My mom did have to call the front desk to get their room cleaned one day, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed at LaQuinta at the end of March 2014. The hotel had just installed a NEW water system a week before my stay. As a result of the NEW water system, there were times when our room was completely without water for 10-15 minutes at a time. I was in the shower when the shower ran completely dry. There was no water to wash off with, no water to flush […] the toilet, no water to wash hands or brush teeth. After waiting about 15 minutes, the water came back on. This happened more than once during my 3-day stay. Otherwise, the hotel was decent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the water issue was very frustrating and was almost a deal-breaker. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location with lots of space."
Great location, Super staff and lots of room. We had a problem with the TV and staff was there in 30 seconds plus a credit was given. The only improvement would be the breakfast...mind you we were there during spring break. There was only one staff and there could have been 2 or more to keep up. The room was spacious and clean...we stayed 2 nights and […] would recommend this hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"I will never stay at this hotel ever again"
There was black mold all over the shower in the bathroom. Light switches do not control the correct lights. The switches by the bed controlled the lights in the hallway. There was VERY poor water pressure. The A/C was too loud.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth ur money"
Sheets were stained n had cigarette burns. Ac didn't work. Moved us to different room n had the same problems. Only after second complaint did the hotel offer to replace sheets with new ones. Spend the extra money n stay on bourbon street or another hotel. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
"penny wise and pound foolish!!"
Breakfast is from 6 to 9 a.m. At 9 a.m. there was a line out the door of people still trying to get their breakfast. 9 on the dot one of the representatives started removing the food even though there were people trying to get the breakfast. For the price that is charged for the room I really believe that they could bear with it and take a look around […] the room and see people are still putting together their breakfast give it till 9:15 before you start whisking away everything that's on the counters and don't make it an ugly process for people that are coming, in most hotels have breakfast until 10. "French Doors in the French Quarter"
Our hotel was very accommodating. We arrive in NOLA by Amtrak, and the train was almost 2 hours late. I called ahead, and was assured that there we "no worries" as far as arriving later. Check in was hassle free. Our room was right above the outside pool. It's pet friendly. We must have seen five or six dogs. Our bathroom had French doors instead of […] one regular door. They tended to stick, and it made a great deal of noise trying to open and close them. The shower had a mind of its own. It seemed like it would "stick" as well, going from "supercharged" one second to "normal" the next. The breakfast was the standard "bill of fair." If you are wanting something more substantial besides bread products and a bowl of fruit, you are within walking distance to an 24 hour IHOP on Canal St. We had to eat there on the day of our departure because the hotel's breakfast didn't begin until 6am, and we had to be at the train depot by 6:30. All in all, we had a good hotel visit. This was my 15th visit to NOLA, and I've definitely stayed in hotels that were dumps. This was a clean, comfortable hotel. I got a good, fair price. It was the perfect location close to St. Charles & Canal St. streetcar lines. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beware of the 8th and 9th Floor"
This was not a pleasant stay. We had a double room, 4 people & stayed for 3 nights, non-smoking, no pets. Reservation made 6 weeks in advance. Arrived 1 hour early & was told our room on the 6th floor wasn't ready & was asked do we have pets which we told them NO. They checked in our luggage & said the room would be ready in "about an hour". We set […] off to the Quarter & came back about 2 hours later to check in which was now on the 8th floor. Got to our room & settled in and thought this was OK. By the next morning, there was a smell that began to linger. 2 said it smells like pee and 2 were not really sure. By the time we got to our check out day the stench of urine was disgustingly overwhelming & we could not get out of there fast enough. Approached the person working the front desk, after she finished her personal cell phone business, I related the unsanitary condition of our room. She asked if we had pets & again I told her NO. When I asked if they had a selected block of rooms for pets she told me it was the 8th and 9th floors. When I asked why we were put on a pet floor when we had no pets she explained that sometimes when there is not a room available on the other floors then they will put you on those floors. My question is what is the point of making a reservation with your specifications if they cannot comply? We were refunded 2nights of parking "for our trouble". Also, we were only left enough towels for 3 people each morning. Avoid the breakfast - Nasty!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close enough to the action, but far enough away"
All in all a good place to land. Helpful staff and the breakfast was what was adequate.Genuine Expedia guest review
We loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance of all attractions...we plan to stay there the next time we go to New Orleans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to French Quater, but quiet place. Continental breakfast was not bad. Staffs were Very nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would not recommend!"
Our hotel room was not very clean. There was food left in the refrigerator from the previous guests. There was some mildew in the shower. There was a wad of gum stuck inside the guest services book in the room. We weren't in our room very much during our stay, but I definitely will be staying somewhere else the next time I'm in New Orleans.Genuine Expedia guest review
Top to bottom, this place is great! The lobby, the staff, the rooms, the amenities...all wonderful! We did not take advantage of the breakfast only because, well, we were in Nola for crying out loud! We didn't want bagels! Local fare only please, but I'm sure it was great. Will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for."
Clean room. Easy check in. we were on the 12th floor. No water pressure. At all. Bed was awful, really awful. Breakfast is garbage. Really good customer service though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mardi Gras 2014"
First, it's during the busiest weekend of Mardi Gras, so not everything goes smoothly, at any hotel (as one who has stayed at numerous during this event), But saying that, the check-in was smooth, room was comfortable and clean, and the location was extremely close to the parade route and French Quarter. Other than a water pressure problem that lasted […] about 10 hours (thankfully during sleepy time) and a somewhat lack of interest from the valets, this hotel didn't do any worse or better than most I've stayed at during this really packed weekend. Within walking distance of the French quarter. Excellent rooms for us and plenty of room for our mal-shiGenuine Expedia guest review
Everything was ok. The parking pricing was expensive.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was located two blocks from Canal & St. Charles trolley. Perfect location and reasonable price without the chaos. My only complaint is start/stop technology used in the showers to conserve water. In the mist of showering no one wants the water to completely shut off then minutes later begin again found it to be an inconvenience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everyone was very nice that we had contact with at the hotel. Only drawback was the water in the bathroom was way too hot! Had to really shower quick to keep from being scalded.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Descent hotel in a great location"
Stayed at this hotel after Mardi Gras. I chose this hotel because of the value. I.e. A great location at an affordable price. It's within walking distance of burning street and the French quarter. The hotel provides free wifi and free breakfast which I always look for. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a place to overnight […] in New Orleans for a few days. "Mardi Gras Fun with no water!"
My friends and I needed a hotel for the night and found this one of hotels.com. The staff seemed tired and uninterested but we assumed that it was because of Mardi Gras and they had dealt with a lot of people. We checked in a headed to the room and never once did the staff mention a "water shortage". When we got to the room, one of my friends went to […] the bathroom and noticed the toilet did not flush. The sink and shower did not run either. I called the front desk and they stated there was a water shortage they were dealing with and had no idea how long it would take. We had no water all night and into the next morning until check out. We could not even get water out of the vending machine because the water was out and it did not take cash because it was broken. We had to let ice melt to have water to drink. When we went to leave we noticed a note taped to our door along with a few others stating the water problem. I checked out and the hotel never apologized or offered a discount for the issue. I will never return to this hotel again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
