Hotel Omni Mont-Royal - Montreal

The Omni Mont-Royal was conveniently located in the heart of downtown Montreal. It is only about four blocks from St. Catherine Street as well as Crescent Street, which are both full of bars and restaurants. It's also a short cab ride to Old Montreal. They […] changed our floor to the 19th, which had an amazing view of McGill University and beyond, as well as brought us chocolate covered strawberries (delicious). They have an excellent restaurant, and although we only ate breakfast there once, the bartender Bao could NOT have been any friendlier! Our only minor complaint was that the bathroom sink wasn't draining correctly. It took two calls before it was fixed, but the manager gave us vouchers for free breakfast, which was nice. We were close to St-Catherine street, Peel and Crescent, within walking distance of all main events (Quartier des Spectacles, Just for Laugh, Bell Center, McGill (Al`s game)) and great restaurants/cafes. Service was great; we had left the Do Not Disturb sign on our door so we called at 8pm to get the bed made and some new towels - they got it done. […] Concierge service was great, getting us some last minute tickets for a Just for Laugh performance at the Metropolis. As with most hotel in Montreals, rooms are old and haven`t been upgraded in a long time. My wife and I had a nice experience at the Omni. I don't know if we were lucky but our room was very large. The bathroom was large but a little out date. But most importantly the rooms were clean!! The location to the night life Downtown was great. A quick two block walk to shops and restaurants. Not much on the street near the hotel those. The Hotel […] bar was expensive. Great location (Peel & St. Catherine's)! Good sized room. Bonus indoor hottub which connects to the pool outside. Great doorman. Great time.

The lobby of this hotel looked promising, and all of the staff we encountered were very nice and extremely helpful. The room itself was rather small, which doesn't necessarily bother me, but it was pretty shabby. The carpeting was all stained, the fixtures old, outdated, and not very clean. The television was an old 19" CRT. The bathroom was a good […] size, and it looked like some things were updated, but the fixtures were not. After the second night of our stay, housekeeping basically made the bed and that was it. They didn't leave us any clean towels, the picked up the towels we left on the floor to be replaced and just refolded them and stuck them back on the shelf. We had no face cloths and the floors, nor the carpet, were cleaned. They also used the $7 bottle of water that was in our room to do something and left the half empty bottle sitting on the desk. It was pretty disappointing. When I informed the front desk, they were very apologetic and gave us vouchers for a free breakfast buffet. I was thankful for that, but I would've rather had my room cleaned. The location was good, within walking distance to the jazz festival, but the area was very quiet at night. No stores nearby, and not many bars or places to eat. So grab a night cap on St Catherine's before you head back to the room. Also, our room was fine on the weekend nights, but Monday morning was very noisy as recycling trucks were picking up nearby at about 6 am and woke us up. And, we were on the 25th floor!!!!!! I can't imagine how noisy the lower floors would've been. Overall, if the price was right, I'd recommend this hotel. We got an OK deal, but considering the room cleanliness, I thought it was too much money for what it was. Again, to reiterate, the staff we encountered was extremely nice and helpful. Loved the hotel, location. Good service from staff. Room size was excellent and room was very quiet for a downtown location. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops, etc.

We lived in Montreal for 50+ years and visit twice a year. Omni was better than expected at such a great price Location is great, hotel is a bit dated, but very clean and service is all you can expect from a four star.

Telephone system was not operating intermittently and then out of service completely during our stay.

Stayed for a long weekend and had a nice stay. The room was big and clean and the location is great. No complaints. The concierge was a real lifesaver after my wife accidentally left her wallet in the back seat of a cab. She quickly made the right calls and arranged for the cab to drop the wallet off at the hotel. Top notch.

Perfect downtown location for McGill University, downtown shopping, and Business locations too. On block from Metro too. Extremely nice room and very large bathroom. Marble floors, bath robes nice touch. Staff was extremely nice. Bed was very comfortable. A definite place to repeat!

The Omni Hotel is very nice, has excellent staff, and is close to the metro. Also close to Mont Royal park if you are inclined to hike. A nice bar and restaurant, and a workout room, although the equipment could be upgraded. All in all a very good value and a nice hotel. I would gladly stay there again and again.

The staff were very helpful and courterous from the door man to the cleaning staff. My wife had left here rings in the bathroom and when we came back they were placed in a dish. It was wonderful to see such honesty in today society.

Price was a bargain for all the amenities. The doorman, Pierre, was particularly pleasant and helpful.

This was our second trip to this hotel. It is very conveniently located, the service is great, and the hotel itself is lovely. We went back here because we were so satisfied with our previous trip here and again, we were not disappointed this time. Great and friendly staff who are very helpful. The front desk staff and concierge were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. My only complaint is the remote parking garage. You can use the valet parking at an additional cost and time inconvenience. I had a corner room which was a nice change from the norm as it had windows on two walls.

My 71-year old Mother and myself really like our 4-day stay in the OMNI-hotel in Montreal,Canada. Convenient location, friendly staff, big room and bathroom, nice little cafe downstairs, did not have chance to try spa-sauna, beauty salon services.

I've stayed at the Omni in Montreal on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The location is great if you have business in Downtown Montreal or if you are visiting your child at McGill.
