After a long cruise, we stayed in Sydney one more night. This hotel is located in a different part of the city and not ideal for walking to downtown and seeing the sites. However, it is very nice complete with a fun bar environment, rooftop pool (only heated during certain months), and a fitness center on the roof with views of the surrounding neighborhoods. […] We would recommend this hotel for a late spring or summer visit when its warmer to better enjoy the pool. Other than that, the marina around the corner is beautiful for an evening stroll and only a short cab ride to Bondi Beach (amazing place by the way). I am rating the hotel with good marks for the indicated categories, but the hotel is very expensive for what it is though we have found Sydney to be extremely expensive and small compared to even NY. It was very clean and comfortable which are very impt. to me . Hotel is about 1/4 mile to Kings Crossing main streets but a distance from main city so […] location was not good. While we like to walk we had to take a bus or train to main city areas because of the distance (not on the free bus route either). There is a nice outdoor pool area . There is a supermarket and fast food (Subway) a few blocks from the hotel. Otherwise food at the corner restaurant expensive and not much around without walking that 1/4 mile to kings crossing area (lots of bars, food, not great cliente) . The hotel charges $40 for ride to airport, taxii charges $45. THERE IS A SERVICE THAT TAKES YOU TO THE AIRPORT FOR $14 AND WILL COME TO THE HOTEL. THE DESK CAN CALL FOR YOU BUT DOES NOT ADVERTISE IT!! 30-40 min ride to airport depend on traffic, shuttle van comes on time~ I will not book here again because of location/price, there is a VIBE closer to main tourist area but I don't know the price. The problems of the this hotel are generally the Sydney's problem! that is being PRICY... I do not know why in Sydney hotels do not include breakfast and you need to pay $28/person for a breakfast which is a hell of money...Apart from that generally hotel was ok and clean...

This was a great hotel for the money, but, a poor location to the main sites. The train station was also a good distance from the hotel. It was also located close to the King's Cross area, which is known as the "red light district" in Sydney. During the day this area is okay to pass through, but, at night you would want to avoid. This hotel served its purpose: a cheap accommodation in Sydney to see the town. The hotel room was very basic, but it was clean and comfortable enough to catch some sleep (being jet-lagged). It was in between two train stations, which meant 10 minutes walk each way. I only booked it because of a special discount, otherwise I didn't think it was such a great deal. Calls and internet were extra and charged at the usual inflated rates. An OK experience overall.

I arrived in Sydney, AUS at aroun 6 a.m. and got to Vibe at Rushcutters around 7:30 a.m. Normally their check-in isn't until after 2 p.m. but I asked if a room was ready and I was in a room within 10 minutes. Maybe it's just me but when you book a 4 or 5 star Hotel, you expect 4 or 5 star service and aminities; however, this hotel had neither. First there was not enough people on staff so I had to struggle with my bags. There was no concierge, no bell hop, and no staff to even help with opening the door. Initially I thought maybe this was because I got there […] early in the morning but after going on several tours and returning to the hotel, it became apparent that the hotel just did not have enough people on staff. Even though there was not enough staff; the staff behind the counter was very helpful and provided good customer service. The hotel's physical condition was some what mediocre when compared to other hotels with similar ratings. The carpet has seen better days, the lighting was dull, the walls could use some paint and the gym is a joke. If it is your first time in Sydney then I think you would be better served if you booked a hotel in the City. I would recommend somewhere around Darling Harbour. Great location with many activities. Arriving late in Sydney, we booked at almost midnight only because we couldn't access our rented apartment. We were upgraded from a King room to a suite with park view. Very comfortable with excellent breakfast. Only gripe was the additional charge for internet - $25 for 24 hours.

The hotel is starting to show its age. For example the bathroom door in Rm 242 shows signs of water damage. I was also perplexed as to why the hotel didn't provide top sheets. The staff however were very helpful.
