This was my second time staying at a springhill suite. I was very happy with my stay just a few weeks ago in NC. That was my influence when booking a room for my trip to Pittsburgh this past weekend. My family and I, plus a couple of friends came up for an event at Heinz field. This hotel was fairly close, although the website said about 8 minutes away […] from Heinz field, it was actually about 15 minutes. But, i'm not complaining by any means. The room was very clean and modern. I love the way the rooms are laid out. The hotel overall is very clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Hotel was a bit run down with stains in the bathroom and on the carpets. For the price and a Marriott hotel I would have expected a little better.

Well worth the price. Would stay there again. Front desk staff had no knowledge of the area or willingness to provide directions. Also front desk did not care that there were several unruly unsupervised minors in pool area.

I always choose Springhill Suites if available. Usually I'm driving but this was a flying trip and I was headed further south. Flight was late--shuttle had stopped at 11 pm so had to take a taxi from airport..

Made reservations for corporate guests. Hallway to the room really smelled bad and so did the room. Guests were very disappointed, but it was too late to move to another hotel and the hotel was already paid for through hotels.com. Will not used this hotel again.

everything was fine. we went with our three kids and the double queen with sofa bed room actually did accommodate the whole family. the staff was made up of genuinely nice, friendly people.

I was attending a conference downtown and decided against the high-priced downtown hotels. This hotel has a great breakfast including fruit, cereal, hot eggs and sausage, make-it-yourself waffles. The hotel is in a high-retail area, which may be a turn off for some, but since my "hang-up" clothes got left home, I was delighted to easily replace them. […] Ever happen to you? Very nice hotel, especially for a business traveler. Clean, well-kept and friendly staff. Very professional. Next to a lot of restaurants and a wal-mart and Sams (I had to get a new suitcase as mine had a blow-out). My family drove 3.5 hours east and I drove 4.5 hours west to spend a weekend together as I am working out of town. The room was great, very near food, Ditkas, local mexican, Starbucks, to name a few. Right off the expressway should have made it convenient, however, the road from the eway has been under construction for four years and still isn't sufficient […] for the amount of traffic it conveys. I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was good, the beds were comfortable, and the area is surrounded by shops and restuarants. The staff was very friendly. I had left an item of value behind in my room. I called the hotel and they shipped it right back to me. Overall I was very pleased. Any issues I had were minor.

room was immaculately clean and smelled very fresh ! All of the staff was so accommodating. The room had everything we needed and we spent several hours a day in the room. My son has complicated medical issues which causes him to need lots of down time (in the room). My father & I drove out to Pittsburgh for the Phillies v. Pirates night game on a whim and stayed at this Marriot for the overnight before our 5 hour drive back home. First, the front desk folks are very pleasant and helpful, even at MN, when we arrived and 6am when we left. It was important that they accepted late checkins without a hassle. The overall […] feel of the place is that it may need an update in a year or two, but is overall still well maintained. Nothing is super-lux, which wasn't what we were going for, but our double queen room was almost suite sized with a kitchenette area, living room area and bedrooom/bathroom. Plus there is a sink, microwave, large mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room without any extra costs. The location of the hotel is near the airport, but we couldn't hear a single plane. Also, there is a large mall and tons of stores and chain restaurants nearby (driving style, not pedestrian foot traffic) if you are on the run. Read more

we have stayed here a couple of times , it's been fine. the only thing we didn't like was BARE FEET in the eating area. this should be addressed by maybe a sign stating shoes. shirts,proper clothing MUST be worn in this area . the staff was great, we will stay here again. yours truly, charlie & louann

When my wife and decided to take a weekend trip to Pittsburgh, we torn as to where to stay. We wanted to be close to the IKEA store, but we weren't to keen on the idea to staying that close the airport. We were pleasantly surprised. Generally speakin the hotels that are in the airport district are very noisy and out in the middle of nowhere, not in Pittsburgh. We come back to this hotel every Christmas season. Great location for shopping. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful and the exercise room is very nice!

Everything was great at this hotel except at 10am(checkout wasnt until 12noon) The cleaning lady opened the door to our room and walked in on my girlfriend and I in bed. I wasnt happy about this and its a good thing I was able to get up in time to confront her at the door.
