I booked this inexpensive room with low expectations. I just needed a basic room to crash in after a long exhausting day before heading back to michigan. When I got to my room (all I wanted to do was sleep) I was knocked back by the stench! I couldn't believe how dumpy, dingy, just flat out gross the room was. The toilet didn't flush. The towels were like sandpaper. I chose to sleep in my clothes in fear of the sheets. The smell of the room was so strong it was keeping me awake. Gross. I seriously considered sleeping in my car. I know you get what you pay for, but c'mon.

The room smelled musty. The wifi work intermitently. The coffee pot in the room did not work at all. The breakfast offered was: coffee, milk and yur choice of refined flour with and without transfats. No juices, no cream for the coffee, no fruit, no proteins. The entire hotel looked shabby and run down.

we booked a non smoking room and there were cigarette burns in the sheets. the room was never cleaned while we were there. the tv remote never worked. and the person working the front desk tried to charge me again for the room and i couldnt understand him when i tried to explain what was wrong.

For the price this is a very nice, clean hotel. Service was good, rooms were clean and had everything we need. Staff was helpful, and they offered a continental breakfast in the morning.

HORRIBLE! From the front desk attendant who took almost 10 minutes to acknowledge me at the front desk while making himself coffee in the adjacent breakfast room to the fact that the front desk actually argues with me as to why my room wasn't cleaned by 3PM--this place is a DUMP that should not be listed on this website!! Period. I only stayed here because it was the only place I could find close to the funeral home, as I flew into the Cleveland area to be with family to bury my 29 year-old nephew who was killed when a deer hit his truck & killed him. Front desk staff: BAD. Housekeeping staff: HORRIBLE. Stay away from this place! It is dirty and poorly managed by people with bad attitudes! Take your money elsewhere.

I was visiting my daughter at Oberlin College so I did not spend much time at the motel. Clean, comfortable, nothing out of the ordinary. Breakfast was average. But it is half the price of the Oberlin Inn and 10 minutes from campus.

Sadly, as soon as I entered the room, I was disappointed due to the drab furnishings and lack of upkeep. But, would only be sleeping and bathing in the room for two nights.

coffee tasted like water. the bathroom fan sounded like a jack hammer when turned on. tv didn't work one night.they cleaned our room one day when a "do not desturb" sign was on door(good thing nothing was going on). lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. close to major roads and entertainment. all in all, i would give it a 4 out of 10.

We stayed there overnight on a trip to Michigan and it was quite sufficient. Everything was clean, including the pool and pool area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice variety. The only "negative" thing was that the toilet seat was loose (which my husband fixed), and the door to the room was a little hard to close. We would stay at this hotel again, especially since it is pet friendly.

The location was convenient but the staff and hotel upkeep was horrible. We had no towels when we got there and when I asked the front desk for some I was told it would be a few hours "to round some up". The rooms themselves were filthy and there was trash still in the bathrooms. It's not like the hotel was busy, and the staff was scrambling, they just simply didn't care. But atleast the front desk guy got to finish his movie before he had to go get towles

The room reeked of smoke. Condition of building was poor. They seemed to try to clean it as counters, tub, floor tile in bath area were cracked, missing parts, stained but not filthy. Bed was firm but sheets seemed clean. Hole burned in bedspread. Wallpaper peeling, door fixtures rusted and dirty. Parking lot in poor condition. Lobby dark and worn looking. Way overpriced for what we got.

Alles doet viezig aan en werkt slechts met veel kracht/geweld. Douchen of de waterkraan aanzetten vergt getrainde armen. Het ontbijt was ook slecht.

A trash can was under the bathroom sink fixture. Did not think much of it until after we had settled in. Went to get the trash can and couldn't slide it out as it was too high and I discovered it was a quarter filled with water from a leak. Told management and a maintenance man came and said it was okay, it was a small leak and wouldn't fill the can while we were there. That was unacceptable to us, so he got his tools and fixed the leak. While getting the trash can out, he spilled the water on the rug in front of the sink area. We told the desk attendant about the wet rug as we were leaving the next morning to go to my brother's house and they said they would put a fan on it to dry it out. When we returned after dinner, the heat was blasting away and it must have been 100 degrees in the room - and the rug still wasn't dry. We just put towels down and endured until the end of our stay. Also, the corners of the rooms had dust build-up and obviously hadn't been vacumned in awhile. The windows were dirty and had dried tape marks on them. You get what you pay for.

Our initial impression was the hotel in general was run down and in need of attention. The dry wall around the entry door to the lobby had been repaired, but only partially taped and not painted. The hallway to our room was very cold and not well lit. Once inside the room we discovered the bathroom was filthy - red mildew was growing in the grout and the tub was a grayish black. We purchased flip flops at a nearby store to avoid the potential of catching some kind of foot fungus in the shower. The room itself needed a refresh - lamp shades were cracked and crushed, the ironing board hanger was broken, the bathroom door hinges were rusting, the lid to the toilet seat was broken and there were no towel racks near the sink. Our daughter refused to sleep on the sheets so she slept on top of the bedspread using a blanket from the car. We got up early and left the premises much earlier than needed just to avoid the place. At checkout, I told the front desk clerk the room was filthy and needed a good cleaning. She gave us an additional 10% discount.

We chose the Days Inn in Amherst for its proximity to a funeral that we were attending in the area. We checked in around 4, but did not actually occupy the room until a bit after 10. I tried to jump on the wifi and it would not connect or prompt me to enter the password. I went down to ask the front desk if there was something that I needed to do and she said "It should just work." I showed her that it wasn't and she said she had no idea. I could live without the wifi. We stayed in room 110, which is at the very end of the hall on the main floor. The hall way was very cold and it felt like there was no heat running to it. The toilet in the room wouldn't stop running and we found that we couldn't flush it. The tank was not filling properly. I had to fill the tank on the toilet to get it to flush. Being that it was so late at night, I decided that I would report the issue in the morning. It had been a long day and we all needed sleep. I woke up in the morning to take a shower and had hot water for approximately 2 minutes and then the water turned cold. No working toilet, no hot water. I reported the issues to the person at the desk and he muttered something about a boiler and said that he didn't know. No apology for a crappy stay, no "we will take a look at it". Highly disappointed with our stay and completely dissatisfied with the customer service that we received.

Dirty, nasty room and bathroom. Tub had a dirt ring around it. A used condom wrapper fell out of blankets in the morning. Not happy! We did not even feel safe to shower there.

The room was clean and comfortable, but could use an update on some furnishings. One of our lamps had a shade that should have been replaced because the lining was torn badly. The furnishings were really old and dated. We had single digit temperatures during our visit but our room stayed nice and warm with plenty of hot water.

the manager judy and entire staff are first rate. the price was more than competitive. free breakfast was another plus. holiday themed decorations - valentine's day this stay - are nice touch. highly recommend to anyone staying in this area and a must for those visiting Oberlin College - enjoy!

We have been staying here almost every time we travel from out of town to visit our dad who lived at Anchor Lodge until his recent death. It is friendly, clean and well located for our needs. Judy and her staff are wonderful. They have accommodated our every need. And always with a smile and kindness .
