well my experience at this hotel was very strange. The clerk at the check-in counter told me that hotels.com upgraded me to the hospitality suite for free(up from the terrazzo suite), but that i would have to wait till 6 pm to check into it, because the night before was new years and the maids were still cleaning. I was a little mad but my boys and I gave our luggage to the luggage people and i told the check-in clerk to call me when my room was ready. we went to the bar and tossed back a few cold ones. The clerk finally called me to let me know my room was ready and that i could have a late check-out of 6-pm the next day. This hotel was hands down the sweetest hotel i have stayed at of all the times i have been to las vegas.

The Venetian is my favorite hotel on the strip.I love everything about it.I feel like there's a special atmosphere of Venice. To cut a long story short -it is GREAT.If you have extra $$, book this one. It's not my first time staying at the Venetian. I've never had any problems or complaints about it. This time I got a problem with the room service. First of all when I just got there I felt like the carpet wasn't vacuumed at all. I could see threads, crumbs, etc. The next morning I found out that the linen wasn't clean. I saw some brown spots on the sheets. I need to say that they have a special note in the room saying that if you want your linen changed you should place this note on the bed. If you don't, the bed will just be made with no linen changed.Of course I put this note on my bed. When I came back to my room in the afternoon -surprise,surprise- the sheets hadn't been changed. I just want to say that it was very disapointing for the hotel of such a quality and money you pay. Nevertheless, whenever I have another Vegas trip I will stay in this hotel again. Because it's great.I just hope that I'll be more lucky with room service.

Having excellent continental breakfast included added nice value. Enjoyable spa facilities very nicely done with use included in the room rate too. Very good value for the money.

with the exception of housekeeping, the hotel staff appears little motivated. after arrival, we waited in-line for at least 30min. to check in at about 10:00pm. at check-in we had to "prove" that we paid for a "strip" view, because the hotel system had us booked in a standard suite. when we later changed rooms, they tried to place us into another standard room. instead, we received a strip view of a stalled construction site in front of our window. Our first room was dusty and the couch was a mess. Didn't seem the first room (with view of the airport) was used for some time. Also, if you don't mind the in room dining "delivery surcharge" PLUS high mandatory gratuity of 18% at the time of our stay, the food was pretty good. during our stay, the hotel also pumped heavy fragrance into the ventilation (probably to mask some kind of mishap). my wife and child were certainly not happy about it. on the other hand, the service at the shops and restaurants (especially the bakery) was very good. I have been consulting and gambling in Vegas for over 15 years on a regular basis, but this was the most hands-on we ever had. Unlikely we will stay here again anytime soon.

We stayed here for a mini-vacation and were completely happy with the hotel. The people at the front desk were pleasant and informative. The room safe didn't work when we arrived but a maintenance person was in the room within a few minutes of our calling and she quickly had the safe functioning. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. We tried several restaurants at the hotel and the food was fabulous! A great place to stay. Will definitely go back!

We had the bella suite which is very spacious. Normally, our family of 4 feels crowded in a typical hotel room. This is not the case here. My parents had an adjoining room so the kids could visit between the rooms. All of 6 of us could sit on the large "L" shaped couch in the living area. There are 3 TVs, a dvd player, the bathroom is beautiful with a separate tub, shower, vanity, and double sinks. I highly recommend this room for families and it's even better when traveling with multiple families because you can get the connecting rooms.

Very little to complain about at this hotel. We got a very good rate over Thanksgiving and took advantage with a 2-night stay. Perfect location on strip. Roooms were wonderful for sleeping and just a break from wandering the Strip. Pool areas, especially on 10th floor of Venezia, were nice and would love to take better advantage during warmer weather. Great mix of high end restaurants and two value priced food courts. Stayed at numerous Strip hotels and this ranks at top of my list.

The suites are indeed very large, and the bathroom is fabulous, practically a room of it's own, with separate bath and shower. The suites are stepped back from the strip, so even if you get a room overlooking the strip you don't really see it (but have a great view over the Mirage). The down side of our stay were the beds which were not very comfortable and with low quality linens, simply not what you'd expect for this kind of hotel and price. Service was also soso, we were bounced back & forth 4 times between people to get a simpler query answered (if we could use gym once we had checked out, by the way the answer is no). Another minus, the endless corridors and walking you do to get from A to B . On the plus side, the hotel common areas are magnificent, and the spa well worth the $20 upgrade to get in. If you eat within the hotel (on the Palazzo side), try Dos Caminos, really good upscale Mexican with delicious Guacamole, and avoid Zine which was dreadful.

The dealers were not friendly and all the tables were high. The pool hours were until 6p.m. but were ask to leave so the people working could leave by 6. I have to say for the money it was kind of a joke. We went over to the Wynn it was beautiful, did not stink and had great service and reasonable tables. We will stay there the next time we go.

The room was relatively inexpensive for last minute memorial day weekend travel. It was comfortable, well designed and decorated, and much larger than many rooms on the strip. I would compare the room to the suit at Treasure Island. I liked the layout at Treasure Island a little better, but all-in-all they are on par with one another. This is a compliment, as the Treasure Island suite was one of the best rooms I have stayed in on the Strip.
