"Like a prison"
Looked clean on the surface, but there was hair all over the place, including the counters and blanket. We had to request another blanket. The bed was thin and hard, and squeaked every time you moved an inch. The bathroom smelled like cigarettes even though we requested a non-smoking room. What made it most cell-like was the coverings on all the windows […] - apparently they were doing some sort of construction and had to have the windows covered. Upon check out, I wasn't asked how my stay was. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I had read other reviews and we too had to fix the toilet ever time we flushed it. We also got called on the evening before check out to remind me I was leaving. We had no housekeeping whatsoever good job I always take my own towels wherever I go!! As it was only for work I guess it was bearable but would never stay for a vacationGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very reasonable choice"
Very comfortable hotel, without unneccessary whistles. If you need a good place to stay, especially for several days, that is it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Extended Stay Princeton, NJ"
Good hotel for the money. A lot of software developers on visas... Bizarre experience: a guest came to my room and opened the door after being inadvertently checked into my room. Ooops!! We both laughed it off but it would have been nice to get a call from the front desk to explain or apologize.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Professional & friendly staff. Clean room with comfortable bedding. All the essentials without any frills. I chose this hotel due to its proximity & value. I had low expectations based upon the reviews, but was pleasantly delighted.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Bang for the Buck"
The hotel is pretty well updated with friendly staff. You'll have to drive to find a restaurant, groceries, etc. However, it's inexpensive and squeaky clean and pretty comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Gloomy room. Very slow check in. Poor local knowledge from staff.Genuine Expedia guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Peaceful place to stay. You can mind your business and enjoy. All facilities are good. Got WiFi, tv , provision for kitchenware etc. One negative is that there are not many channels in the TV and the WiFi is a little slow.
"Need training in hospitality"

I booked a room with booking.com. When we arrived the place looked sub-par. Dirty, disheveled behind the front desk and in the "lobby." The woman at the front desk barely greeted us and they didnt have the room type that we reserved. She tried to upsell us to a deluxe room but expected us to pay more. Um, no...that's not how this business works. Not if you want to stay in business. We declined her offer and started to look elsewhere on our phones in her lobby area. After a few minutes, a manager appeared and she told him what happened, but made it sound like we were being picky. He understood and gave us the bigger room at the originally reserved price. Good decision. After that exchange, front desk lady was nicer. For the record, I never got angry or rude with anyone. I was just not going to agree to a higher price. The deluxe king room here is okay. Clean enough, but has a couple of flaws. Nothing bad, just needs imorovement. Maybe it's because we travel a lot and have seen hotels who get it right. My suggestion to this company would be to send their people to competitor hotels and shop them. See how they do it and take on their best practices. Stay in one of your rooms and see what it feels like to be a guest at your hotel. Secret shop your sister sites and give them pointers on how to improve. Keep up with your competition. Many times, it's the attention to detail that puts you ahead. Happy trails y'all!
"Mediocre Experience in all aspects"

Everything about my experience at this Extended Stay was mediocre. Multiple of the appliances were broken upon my arrival to the room. Throughout my stay, multiple channels either went dead or were too static to watch. The bed provided little support and gave me prolong periods of back pain. The key to my room would often take 10+ attempts to get the door to open and the key needed to be replaced repeatedly. Beyond the room, at almost all hours of the day, individuals could be found drinking in the parking lot. With only one exception, the front desk employees were slow and disengaged with customers. Additionally, the "breakfast" is probably best described as an example of being "over-promised while under-delivered." On the plus side, they did provide the basics of a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a bed. The laundry room was adequate (other than half the dryers being out of order). I was shocked to see this location won the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and I would advise others to check out the other options in the area.
"Nice place to stay"
06/10/14 Maria T New York City, New York
This was a nice place to stay. My room was setup like a studio in NYC---it has a full kitchenette, allowed my small dog, had high ceilings, had full acreage in the hotel property for you to walk your dog. The furnishing looked really new. And I was able to do my work really easily because everything was so clean and organized. I really liked the interior designing---it was simple and green. Everything all matched and wasn't too crazy. I would stay here again if I had to, and I would stay here long term. It has everything you need and the price wasn't ridiculously high. I paid $85/night plus $25.00 pet fee.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The manager Maria takes personal interest in ensuring that your stay is comfortable and always wears and smile on her face. I will stay in this hotel every time I am in this area. Its conveniently located and gives value for money.
"Pipes at home burst"

On the coldest day here in NJ in over 30 years our pipes burst and the heat went off. I needed to find a place close to home that had a smoking room and pet stay. Lucky for me this place had availability. Nice location great place to walk my dog clean room very pleasant staff at front desk. Originally checked in for 1 night but am on my 2nd night now because my heat still isn't fixed very accommodating since I keep adding days. Has everything I need fridge microwave 2 burner stove coffee pot dishes pots utensils. Downstairs oatmeal apples some type of banana cake and coffee. Also tons of menus to order from that will deliver right to your room. Reasonable rates to.

The manager, Maria, is very accommodating and helpful when I need to book rooms on short notice. We will continue to use this location for business purposes for our employees who are traveling for work to the area. They always are pleased with their stay and the hospitality.

The rooms are clean and the staff was pretty good! We had some rain one day and wifi went down for 48 hours which is a pain for the business traveler. There was a lovely area in the back to walk our dog with wooded area surrounding it, great view if room was on the back of the building. There are a few things that could use some work to be up to par with Extended Stay America, there are no trash cans or seating areas on the outside of the building, shouldn't have to go to the dumpster to be a responsible pet owner. There is no seating in the lobby at all. Baskets at grab and go breakfast weren't refilled, if empty, tough luck. Two days to repair a wifi is a pain and Showtime went down while we were there and never came back up and ESA's don't have much of a television channel selection as it is. This hotel is getting there and the staff is definitely trying just need a bit more of a push! Loved Angelo at the front desk!
