I travel to Detroit frequently for sports and concerts. For the last 3 years, I've always stayed at the Candlewood Suites. I have never been disappointed. I must say that the guy that works the desk knows me now and always treats me with the upmost respect and is the most friendly and caring man. I love the Suites and won't stay any other place.

Very good and convenient hotel. It is a suite with a kitchen so its very easy to bring groceries and make your own food. All the kitchen tools were new. A very good and large bed. Very clean. They just installed new LCD screens in the rooms. You can do your own laundry for free (just buy soap for $1). Must have a car to stay in this hotel.

It's a little bit hard to find but once you figure out where it is you realize it's really very centrally located, near the main roads, highways and food. So maybe it's good that it's a little bit away from the traffic.

The hotel was very clean, staff was nice, but hotel rooms had a stale smell like someone been smoking in the elevators and near the room we were in if they housekeeping staff could use air freshners in the room and in the elevators the hotel will be perfect.

The staff is extremely friendly and easy going. The 1 bedroom suite that I stayed in was quite pleasant. It was more like a small apartment than a hotel room. The A/C was so cold I had to turn it down (and it was extremely hot outside). Very comfortable. I loved it.

The lady at the front desk was very helpful and very nice. My room was clean and very tidy. I like the room layout as well. The hotel has a laundry room and small shop, while not a huge selection, it had the necessities. I would stay at this hotel again and I would recommend it to others.
