The hotel and staff were above average, taking care of my every request without hesitation. There were no issues with my room that caused me to complain. In fact, if I return to Boston, I will likely choose Candlewood as my first option.

we got a great deal on 2 nights at this hotel so I wasn't expecting much. me and my friend were only in town for a conference. the hotel was better than I expected. It was roomy and the pillows were really comfy ( i hate flat feather pillows). We had a big desk which we could both fit at to work after the conference. the cable TV was very limited but […] it did have a DVD player. the shower had good pressure which is something I like. it was located near a mall/ main road so there were plenty of food options. we used the workout room which was ok, nothing really special there. My only complaint was that I booked a smoking room but since we had a very late check-in (7-8pm) they didn't have a smoking room available both nights so we could either have a non-smoking room or switch rooms after 1 night. We took the non-smoking since we were only staying 2 nights. They did accommodate us with a ground floor room near the outside smoking patio which was also very nice with plenty of seating and 3 grills. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was right off the highway and close to the mall, so it was great for places to eat and shop as well as a short ride into Boston.The size of the rooms are actually pretty good and very comfortable. I love the kitchenette w/ full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Unfortunately there were only 2 burners on the stove top, however […] I was able to buy and cook food for the 2 days I was there which saved in eating all meals out. There was a plumbing issue with the tub and to the staff's credit I was upgraded w/o charge. I was away from the elevator which was great however I was near the rear staircase and had to listen to door slamming and loud conversation every 2 minutes for an hour or so at 1am which was unacceptable. Not to mention the excessive knocking at the door at 10:30 and 11am for service when the DO NOT DISTURB was clearly on the door and check out is 12pm. For the price and comfort, I would probably stay again but staff should be more diligent regarding noise and housekeeping. Read more

First off, my reservation was for a King Suite. Upon arrival, I was told that this hotel only has queens (the one we had may have been a large full), which I find very HARD to believe. The reason why I picked this hotel over others in the area was solely because it was listed as having a king bed; it was a quite misleading. What a find! The standard suite was spacious and at a very reasonable price. The room was very comfortable. Plenty of room to work and relax. The kitchenette was fully equipped with a small full-sized refrigerator and even a dishwasher! It was a quick connection to I93 and so easy to go around the metropolitan Boston area or get to public transportation […] to go into Boston. I yi yi .. very sweet person to greet you (and to send you off at end of stay) at the desk but after that .. all down hill... walk into suite .. smelly, no way to control heat, pull out couch is like sleeping on medieval bed of nails, and mattress all stained. but not a bad place. Was able to use the fold out couch in addition to the main bed. There was a full kitchen, which we didn't need, but is good for an extended stay. Would have liked a pool or fitness center, but was OK, we mostly just needed a place to sleep.

Either Hotels.com screwed up, or the hotel itself did (I'm guessing the former). When we arrived at 11:30pm, the night clerk gave us keys to a room that he knew was not what we reserved. Instead of a suite with a pullout couch, we were given a one-room efficiency with no pullout. Because there were no other rooms available that night, we had to go to […] the nearby Hyatt Place. When we returned to the Candlewood the next day, the desk clerk was not informed of last night's screw-up. Fortunately, there was a room available similar to what we had reserved, and the Candlewood paid for Friday night's stay at the Hyatt & Saturday night, so we had to pay for only Sunday. The manager was very apologetic, and also gave us free run of the snack room. A terrible, unprofessional start to what was otherwise a pleasant stay. Read more

The day staff were the nicest people I have ever met in the Hotel industry. They did everything they could do to make sure I was comfortable and safe during my stay.The late night counter person was the opposite. He was repeatedly rude.Tried to charge me $70.00 more than the price of the room was advertised. I was extending my stay and did not have […] to deal with him at the moment so i waited for the day shift to arrive and they quickly corrected his errors and made thngs right. He also complained when I asked for a map and made me feel like he thought i wouldnt return the map book I had asked to borrow. He did not seem to be willing to give any information on local attractions or on using the "T",finding cabs or bus schedules. It is a shame that such nice and helpful people on days have to follow his messes and clean up what he creates at night. This place would have been the perfect hotel if it had not been for this one man at night.He seemed lazy and I think he was trying to "scam" me out of that extra money he tried to charge for my room. He wasnt any nicer to other customers so i did not feel he was picking on me. I think he is just a very poor choice for a night clerk....in any hotel. But, as i said before, the day clerks were exceptional. I have never met such nice people in any hotel EVER before in my life. They make your stay a wonderful experience. Go see for yourself. As a Bus Traveller....my number one issue is the quality of the internet connection - if it is terrible....I won't be back. This facility had a very stable connection. I also was pleasantly suprised at the quality of the room accomodations themselves. Nice bed/pillows, nice work space and quiet. I will be back.

A comfortable and spacious room. Like first floor mini-market and laundry. Front desk was most helpful in providing directions to local shops and restaurants and in assisting with printing a sporting event ticket over the internet. Would stay again anytime.

We enjoyed the efficiency kitchen, but wished the built in heater would be a quieter model. It's not unusual to have a loud AC/heat unit, but for such a nice room and good value and nice amenities, a quieter system would be befitting the rest of the experience.

Room is good if staying for a day or a weekend getaway. Immaculate, nice amenities, full kitchenette. Room is a bit smaller than what I had been expecting. I was anticipating a bigger sitting area, a couch, futon, or something comparable to an embassy suites. Disappointed there was not enough room to relax. Hotel is a very excellent option for those who look for good quality/money ratio. It's not far from Boston and could be reached by metro (3.3 miles from hotel). The hotel has all needed facilities including free parking, Wi-Fi and laundry. Staff was very friendly.

Had a great stay at this property. Friendly staff, modern studio type rooms, comfortable beds with nice linens and towels are a plus. Can't beat the free laundry without needing all those quarters. Convenient location close to Logan Express Braintree bus depot makes it easy to get to the airport. Candlewood properties are great for traveling families […] with kids.
