We have stayed twice at the Candlewood Suites and are very pleased with the hotel. The price is decent and the staff is very friendly. The room has a full size fridge and little kitchen area is great. It is not super fancy but very functional. We have family in the area and will stay there again when we visit.

My recent 2 night stay was very pleasant. Service staff was friendly and helpfull. I have stayed at about 4 different Candlewood Suite chains, and have yet to find any reason not to like anything about them. Rooms are clean and updated quite nicely. With the added comfort of having a full kitchen. For the price, it is very, very much worth the stay. […] Plus I am a member of Priority Club Rewards, so that in its self allowed me to obtain a late check out, 3 hour extension to be exact. We recently stayed at this hotel for a long weekend getaway. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We never heard another person the whole time we stayed there. The room was very quiet and never heard anyone in the hall either. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable with nicer quality sheets and blankets […] and towels. Had a nice larger flat screen TV and the bathroom was larger than most with convient shelves by the mirror. Kitchen was very nice and convient. I wish the ice maker in the full size fridges worked. It's kind of irritating that the rooms don't seem to be checked to make sure everything is working before a guest arrives.

Does anybody understand English in this country anymore? Posting a sign saying "Please Do Not Disturb" should be fairly self evident unless you can't read English. Candlewood's not the only hotel guilty of this. Most are. It's ridiculous that most employees other than the front desk can't seem to understand English.

Was not happy with the front desk staff. Had to yell to get someone to help me upon check-in and when she did come she wasn't apologetic and was dressed very sloppy. The hotel itself was ok, but there is no dining and nothing within walking distance.

Candlewood has recently updated this location and it has turned out really nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with full size microwave and refrigerator. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. Overall, an excellent place to stay at a reasonable price.

The recent remodeling is really nice. One problem: some of the rooms the shower curtain is too short and can result with water on the bathroom floor. I told the guy at the front desk and he had a "It;s not my job" attitude. Loved the hotel itself. However location a little out of the way., No shopping or restaurants nearby. Enjoyed the little store inside though. Made for a nice breakfast. Staff very nice and professional. Incidental charge ($20) should be credited back at checkout! Hope to be back soon!

Good basic place to stay; however, the management should make more of an effort to keep the hotel clean. The halls and elevator had small bits of trash on the floor that were hard to miss. It is a little difficult to find as it is tucked in a small office park. Overall, good value for the money.

I would have given this hotel a higher score accept for the fact that my room was backlit by lighting in the bushes surrounding the hotel which the curtains didn't block. This made it a bit difficult to sleep as I need a really dark room. Otherwise the hotel was pleasant and I love the convenience of having a kitchenette.

You cannot control the central air system and it's extremely loud at night. Unfortunately you cannot turn it down. Plus fridge is loud too, but that you can turn off. It's clean but loud. You have to be the deepest sleeper to survive the noise.

Was told there would be a thermostat in the room to control temperature. . .there wasn't. Had to manually control AC unit which didn't hold room temperure very well. Also, there was a huge depression in the floor near the foot of the bed that caused me to stumble several times. Not sure why there would be such a depression and how that ever passed […] building inspection. A lot of litter on the floors, hallways and elevator. Need to vacuum more frequently. Read more

I was happy to find that they have late check-in since my boyfriend and I spent all day hanging out in downtown Chicago . When i finally checked in, the staff was super friendly! I was told that you can control the temp by the thermostat on the wall...but it didn't work. Though we only stayed one-night, I have to say the staff was very accomadating and the room was well-kept. Description given on web pointed out exactly what we expected. We really enjoyed the stay.
