I like the hotel and I think I would stay there now that I know things. They say they have a breakfast when they have a cooler that has juice, water, muffins in a plastic bag, and frozen fruit which they lock after a certain time. That's not a breakfast and should not be advertised as one at all. Our room was nice it was like a little one bedroom but […] we got the handicapped room and there is no counter space in the bathroom, no towel racks to hang the towels when you're done. The bathroom also does not have a fan to turn on and from my experience if you do not have a fan that is how mold starts. Also I was not informed that if you don't stay more than a week the maids do not come, you do not get fresh towels, nothing, until I checked out and asked. One TV had a DVD player so we rented a DVD we then saw that it didn't have the cords needed so when we called the front desk asking they said because of something they do not have them which made no sense they are just basic cords so we went and bought some. I mean why have instructions on how to work the DVD player and have a DVD player with the remote and not have cords for it, that makes no sense. The bed isn't hotel comfortable, that's one thing I look forward too, no pillows, and the shower has no pressure. I love having an actual kitchen at my disposal and since I'm a smoker it's nice to find a hotel that still allows that option. I had a ncie stay with the exception of the refrigerator that ran so loud it kept waking me up all night long and the bathtub that took forever to fill up (and then the water would start draining out). always wash everything you are going to use in a kicthenette or glasses in a bathroom. we found hair in the microwave, dry coffee in the pot etc. the furniture is a bit worn. aside from above, this location is one of in best values we found in the chicago area on this site. we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The so called breakfast is not really breakfast in my book. The cleanliness could have been better, kitchen sink was not very clean and the water smelled bad. Hotel location is good because their is good shopping close by and many good restaurants. Overall it is okay to stay for one night.

I had a hard time finding the hotel. My GPS took me to another Hawthorn that was only 5 miles away. Both receptions where helpful in getting me to the correct hotel. I was really impressed with the hotel. They we're very kid friendly and offered a lot of extra services. I will be staying at one of these hotels on my next trip! My husband and I went for a weekend in Chicago, and stayed in Schaumburg for a night to go Medieval Times. We checked in after battling traffic for over two hours, and was just happy to have friendly front desk staff who made check in quick and easy. Our room was clean and cool, with an oven, popcorn in the microwave ready to pop we wanted it, and a […] small fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were nice *the little things make all the difference*. They had free DVD's at the front desk to check out if we wanted, which was a nice touch. We forgot a razor, and they have a little table with toiletries set up and most everything was a buck...they also had snacks and cans of pop for purchase...all very inexpensive. They had washer and dryers that were clean that you could use for free...which was a nice amenity! I worked out on the treadmill in their fitness center *which i admit could use a bit of an update* while our clothes dried.
