It was a comfortable room. The shampoo, conditioner and lotion containers were ok. They design could have been better. They are hard to squeeze. The continental breakfast was good, but I was expecting to see some fruit.

Horrible Parking Lot. It is tiny. Blowdryer did not work, safe did not work, toilet would not flush, water pressure in shower was horrible. Room was not cleaned when we put the sign that we wanted it cleaned outside of our door. Had to go to the front to get clean towels. There were homeless people right in front of the hotel. We had a pleasurable experience. I did originally order a king bed with pull out sofa but when I checked in they had some issues with it so the upgraded us to a bigger room with better accommodations for my family and I. The man checking is in was very nice and gave us a lot of information. I will defiantly stay there again!

Overall our stay was great. the hotel was easy to find parking can be an issue if you want a spot by your room. Only issue I had was that the coffee maker was never cleaned out from the previous occupants pretty gross. Other than that it was close to downtown and to sea world which were our two main stops

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downside was that you could hear the people in the next room over talking and then later snoring. The air conditioner was suppose to be controlled by the thermostat but we ended up having to manually start it. Other than that it was an okay place to stay. Good location.

I would definitely stay here again. The service was great, the room was very clean and comfortable. My family and I were looking for a hotel near sea world and the zoo and this was a perfect place. Six minutes away from sea world and about 12 minutes away from the zoo, five min away from old town. Close to many small plaza centers and lots of restaurants […] near by to eat. The room was clean and spacious. The Maids were friendly and ready to help and the front desks folks welcomed you and had a great attitude. I have stayed here in the past for Business and will stay here again. Close to freeway access and the gyms I use. Over all a great place to stay. Also very quite during the day and night!

A good hotel in an excellent neighborhood. Although the breakfast is not so good, you have many choices on the near streets, Starbuck, Chipotle, ... across the street. Also, close to the San Diego Old Town -- you must visit.

Howard Johnson Sea World was in a great location for our vacation to San Diego. 5 minutes to downtown, 5 minutes to the beautiful Pacific Ocean, close to the zoo, La Jolla. We stayed there for our sons graduatiom from the MCRD in San Diego.They had covention directions to varios destionations. Stores near by and Sea World very close. Contential breakfast was very good. overall very nice place at a great price.

Hotel was comfortable for a short stay. Great for the price we paid. Staff was nice, parking and wifi was free. Wifi lost connection on all my devices (iphone, kindle) for a few hours on the second night; but that was not a big issue. Lots of free cable channels. Only thing that bugged us was that the door knob would not read our cards. We had to stand […] outside our room for a couple of minutes every time because we had to insert/remove the card multiple times before we gained access. The room was well kept and clean, but did have a musty smell to it. Overall, if you're looking for a place to crash while on a short vaca/business trip to SD, this would be a good place for you. We booked this hotel because of it's location to the San Diego Sports Arena, which was within walking distance and took 10 mins. The Good: The room was clean and maintained, it could of used a once over but sufficient. Bed/Spread and sheets were clean and room didn't have the "hotel" odor. The staff was excellent and very helpful, the free breakfast […] wasn't anything out of the ordinary but what would you expect from a free breakfast. The mexican restaurant was very close and convenient. The Bad (Not That Bad) There was only (1) ice machine on the premises that required a card to use and of course you had to walk to the other side to fetch ice. Another drawback was the fact you could hear the Aircrafts overhead, the area around the hotel was a little dodgy especially at night. The walls were thin, as there were noisy neighbors (but what can anyone do about that). The price was just on target, The carpet was clean for the most part, clean beds, functional and not-so-noisy air conditioning, cleat and well equipped bathroom, fully functional fridge and microwave, old CRT TV but good cable service, and "ok" breakfast (it had eggs besides the cheap beagles! for me that is a plus). […] It is conveniently located 10 min from the airport (noise is not an issue), 5min from the sports arena, and even has a free shuttle to Sea World. It's an older, bare bones motel - but the room was kept very clean and everything was in good condition. The smell of cleaner was a bit overwhelming (got an air freshener). The AC/heat is an old-fashioned wall unit, but has a thermostat - results were mixed. The location is "interesting" - surrounded by buildings touting "show girls", "nudes" and bail […] bonds. However, there is a bus stop across the street that takes you to old town in about 5 minutes; and the freeway is close. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful.
