LOVED IT AND LOVED THE AVAILABILITY OF THE BAR AT NIGHT. NO DRINKING AND DRIVING SO AT 11PM THIS WAS WONDERFUL TO MEET AND TALK WITH OUR FRIENDS!!!

Its not a 4 star hotel. But, it's clean convenient and for the rate I paid for a mid-week stay, I couldn't be more happy. A Saturday or Sunday stay and the rate is almost twice as much, so I did a Tuesday thru Thursday (3 nights) for which was a real bargain.
Location.
Situated in Palm Desert, Fairfield Inn by Marriott Palm Desert is close to Westfield Palm Desert Shopping Center, Rancho Las Palmas Country Club, and The Gardens on El Paseo. Also nearby is Living Desert Zoo & Gardens.
Hotel Features.
Fairfield Inn by Marriott Palm Desert has an outdoor pool and a fitness facility. Business amenities include a business center and small meeting rooms. A complimentary breakfast is available. Additional amenities include gift shops/newsstands, laundry facilities, and a picnic area. Guest parking is complimentary.

The only reason I would not recommend the hotel is because for ME (only) the area was way too congested. I would have liked a more quiet, less busy area.

I was very impressed with the service was great. we had issues but they were unforseen mantainance problem. otherwise very nice I would recomend to friends. and I would stay agian.
"Comfortable and Convenient stay"
Location was great with easy access to many places. Clean and well maintained. Bed was little to soft for us, we are used to firm bed...I don't know you could ask for but I should check next time. Other than that, we were all satisfied.

Bed wasn't too comfortable, didn't like the idea of the restroom sink and shower in different rooms and we could hear the neighbors bed head rest banging the wall. Location is great.

If one is looking for the quality associated with the Marriott name on a budget, one cannot go wrong with this hotel! The staff was friendly and efficient, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the amenities (to include complimentary breakfast in the lobby with cereal, waffles, eggs, fruit, coffee, the works) were such as we normally associate […] with much higher-priced hotels. If one is going to the Palm Desert/Rancho Mirage area, I highly recommend this location! The heater was not working when we arrived. We notified the front desk but no one came for about an hour, We were told it would be 10 minutes. Also there was mold under the soap dish in the bath tub.I like to take tub baths and that is when I noticed it.

"Hotel for a Quick Stay in Palm Desert"
The staff could not have been nicer. The continental breakfast was above average for this level of hotel. The computers in the business center were worthless....so slow that after half an hour of trying to get work done, I gave up...so plan accordingly. It's in a very commercial setting so if you're looking for lush surroundings this isn't the place...but […] it's just fine for a quick trip. We were there for the Paribas Tennis Open and it worked just fine. The hotel is fairly clean except the carpets which are sadly in need of cleaning....otherwise fine. Read more

Only stayed one night, as we drove down from Los Angeles to attend a show at the McCallum Theater. We had a wonderful stay, found a local bar and grill nearby and was very pleased with our stay. The only downside seems to be the thin walls of the room. On checkout morning, our neighbors decided to have a fight which we couldn't help hearing. "Only complaint..."
In this day and age, it’s very unusual not to find a small refrigerator in a room (including much less expensive motels I’ve stayed at). This is only important to me since I require insulin which must be refrigerated. It was a bit messy to keep my insulin in an ice bucket which only partially solved the problem. But it did remind me not to take anything […] for granted. Although this is the first motel I’ve stayed at in years without one, I will need to double check in the future. I would still stay here again, only better prepared. The continental breakfast was as expected, but they should try a different vendor for the pastries which were stale. Read more
