This hotel was the final stop on our one-month trek thru Australia and New Zealand. It was a fine hotel with friendly people (none of whom were New Zealanders) and clean comfortable rooms. The resturant in the hotel served the best meal we had in NZ. The only negative was the location. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping and entertainment areas and inconvenient to the various bus routes. Being situated atop one of Auckland's many hills, it was a tough walk up hill at the end of the day.

The Langham is a great place to stay. They offer a free shuttle to the city center. The breakfast and lunch buffets included a large variety of delicious food.

The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. The room was very nice and in excellent condition. The location was also excellent being only two blocks from the harbor, one block from Queen Street, (the main shopping street) and near most transportation connections. We had a great time and look forward to our next visit.

We picked it for a one-night stopover stay as choices for airport hotels or Auckland hotels anywhere were extremely limited while prices had gone through the roof due to the Rugby World Cup games. The rooms have no central air conditioning, and the first room assigned to us had a stale odor; the heater on the wall was not functional, but there was a […] small portable fan under the desk. We could not open the windows to air out the room because it was on the ground floor, and there were no latches to control how wide the windows could be opened. The "business room" on the 2nd floor we finally got was much better because I could open a window. The bed and amenities were adequate for a 3-star hotel, I suppose. I don't know what is down the road, but the motel appears to be in some residential area with a couple of non-retail businesses nearby. But at least it offers free airport shuttle. Read more

We chose this motel because of its proximity to the airport, bus stops and train station, its quiet setting, and its free airport shuttle service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the standard of cleanliness could be improved and some repairs made.

The hotel was fine for somewhere just to sleep for the night for a reasonable price. It didn't take long to get to from the airport, and is near the southern motorway making it good to access places in South Auckland and beyond. The hotel itself is a bit dated but was comfortable. Room was paid in full before arriving then was unable to check in without supplying a credit card and I don't have one. Then wouldn't accept a credit card over the phone from my partner. Had to receive a form by fax and then return in the meantime was left sitting in reception. Will not stay here again

The room was very clean. BUT the ranch slider door on the outside wall was not secure and was easily lifted off the frame from outside. The men from reception did put a bolt in the frame after we complained and we had lodged the ironing board from the wardrobe to secure the door from being opened from the outside.Also I was concerned about the HUGE […] pile of cardboard boxes in the courtyard from the restaurant. The hotel was just taken over I believe and the new owners are doing some much needed updating. Fantastic shower best ever. Staff were really nice and I ate in th restaurant once. Very nice food also. I will return as the location is really convenient.

everytime i am there staying at Allenby Park Hotel.......it is always amazing.........the staff are so friendly from Reception to Housekeeping.......im always happy going back and staying at this place because i know they look after their guests really well.......i recommend this place to my friends, families and colleagues..

Poor service ,Breakfast dreadful, Staff lacked local knowledge and had poor customer care skills , Hotel needs a complete makeover and staff training programme. Would not recommend this Hotel to my worst enemy.

Where do I start, the first room given to us was so filthy, it had flies, snail trail on the carpet and the bedspreads were so dirty. The bathroom was very very dirty. After speaking to the manager on duty we were given another room, this room had bloodstain sheet and bedspread, sheets looked like it had not been washed. The carpets had big stains on […] it, there were also fleas which bit us and my youngest had flea bites all over her tummy. I have been to many hotels and motels but this is one expeience which will haunt me for a lifetime. I would not reccommend this to anybody. Read more

We found the staff to be very polite & very helpful in more ways than one. Our breakfast was very satisfactory & we found the room to be very comfortable & to our satifaction. It was a pleasurable stay for the both of us.

if you need to overnight in auckland this is a really good value hotel. nothing exciting then what do you really expect for the price. you need to ring the hotel. on left near mcdonalds there are free phones for the hotels but couldn't see this hotel listed. but near there are free AA accommodation books - look up the hotel there for a free 0800 number […] for them to pick you up. Hotel is a good 15 mins from airport so allow at least 30 mins for the pick up. hotel is more than adequate for an overnight stay especially at the hotels.com price Read more

Room was nice and hotel is in a great location for travel to and from Auckland airport. Only disappointment was being disturbed by cleaning staff to ask when I was checking out, despite using the Do Not Disturb sign and the hotel having a standard check out time.
