Nice hotel with good facilities. Could do with some upgrades if they wish to keep the level compared to other 5 star hotels in Dubai.

the Front Desk (Russian?) was very rude. The majority of the staff appeared to be South Asian and were very helpful and nice, My room had a small window that faced a concrete wall. Nice hotel but it is definitely more of a resort and its a little older. The beach was small but the water was amazing, crystal clear and warm. The ocean floor was clean and sandy. Two people eating dinner at the Japanese restaurant was $122 US Dollars. Drinks were down right ridiculous. $5.00 USD for a small Pepsi & $10 USD for a Corona bottle beer! You can walk down to Spinneys and get a 6pack of Pepsi's for 9 AED or $2.45 USD. My only compliant is in my room, 4306 the door did not shut properly and every time someone would come in the building the vacuum pressure would slam my bedroom door and wake me up. I thought the first several times this happened someone was actually trying to open the door. I only stayed one night but I would have had hotel staff to repair it or move me had I been staying any longer! A big plus was I arrived at 11am and they allowed me to check in early. That was nice. It was my fiancee's bday. I called the hotel few hours in advance so that they could arrange for a cake from their bakery. Not only did we find a yummy tiramisu cake in our room - IT WAS GIVEN TO US COMPLIMENTARY. I would surely go back to this hotel to spend some more !!

I stay at this hotel quite often when I pass through Dubai because I feel it gives the impression of not being in Dubai. Clean white lines and wood instead of brash mosaics and things plastered in gold. I'm normally really pleased with the service. On this trip, the concierge was above and beyond good. However, I found housekeeping and room service really poor compared to my previous stays. The better quality products which are normally in the rooms andthe welcome fruit bowl weren't there, which considering I checked in early was understandable but it then took three phone calls over a period of 4 hours before someone came to my room to bring me these things--which for a hotel of this grade is unacceptable. I don't know if the service was due to low season, but a quality hotel should never diminish it's services based on the season or price you pay for a room. I would definitely stay there again and give it one more chance, but if it happened again I would probably look elsewhere. Read more

The place was nice. The room was nice. I was talked into getting an upstairs suite for a couple of hundred dollars extra. Looking back I wouldn't have done that. Climbing stairs is the last thing I want to do when trying to relax on vacation. That essentially put me sleeping on the downstairs couch in the name of not climbing up to where the bed was. […] The room cleaning, and concierge staff was great. There are several places to go out to at night at the resort. The Cuban bar/restaurant was nice. Live music. The Mexican restaurant staff was nice. Was able to secure a Mercedes/Lexus taxi the two nights I stayed there that were indeed metered for going out in the city. Overall it is a beautiful place to stay in. Be mindful of the opening and closing times if you decide to partake of the resort's restaurants. Ordered room service in the late hours: came in good time with no problems. At the pool, the bar keeps and life guards weren't the best (vain and could be friendlier and certainly more helpful) considering the $400.00 a night price tag. Read more

I would not consider this a 5 star hotel in comparison to other 5 stars in Dubai. Hotel was in a convenient location, cheap taxi ride from The Dubai Mall. Small private beach, nice pools, room was nice although not as updated as other 5 stars in the area. Got a Thai Massage at the Aroma Spa and it was the best massage I have had yet! Stayed at the dubai marine and beach resort for one week in June 2011. The hotel itself is nice and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The largest draw of being here was the beach access but I found it be rather small. The restaurants located in the hotel were decent but for the price of the meals the food wasn't that great (with […] the exception of the Thai restaurant). There were several night clubs located on premises but some didn't seem to care for hotel patrons to visit them (namely: Budior). we get there around 11 pm and the hotel srounded by night clubs so it was alot of people waiting to park there car and it takes an hour to park our car. the hotel is too old and we checked out after 20 min from the checking time to another hotel (it will be nice hotel if they mention that its 3 or 4 stars hotel)

Positives: Perfectly positioned for sight seeing, close to airport, good bus service and taxis always available. Good room, restaurants, pool, friendly staff, all speak English. Travelling on my own, I chose a more expensive hotel than I usually stay in partly because of the warnings about prostitutes in cheaper & business hotels. I chose the cheapest room option, but when I arrived, they'd upgraded me to what I believe was the most expensive. Very nice! Put it this way, if it were a flat in London, I wouldn't be able to afford […] it. Up to checking out, when I had a few (though resolved) problems, I found the service excellent. I chose to enjoy my suite by staying in & ordering food one night (I was there for 3). I asked if I could order a G&T too, as though I had a mini-bar, it'd be nicer to have ice & lemon. They said I could only order a whole bottle, so I said never mind. Only after I put the phone down did I think that I should've asked if they could send ice & lemon with my food. But when my food arrived, there was an ice bucket & half a lemon. Very good service! The complex was smart & I liked the Italian restaurant. It seemed family friendly, which made it feel non-sleazy, but there is a separate pool for kids which is good news for those who prefer their swimming pools without screaming children. Major tip: when travelling anywhere by taxi (as you'll probably need to), don't let them just call up one of the 'town cars' outside the hotel: ask for a local taxi - they are about a third of the price! If necessary, you can flag one down on Jumeirah Rd. Also recommend the Lime Tree Cafe other side of Jumeirah Rd for breakfast & lunch. Read more

Lovely old fashioned hotel on manageable scale; so unlike the modern high-rise hotels that dominate Dubai now. The Dubai Marine Resort is all low level and set in relaxing tropical gardens. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the pools and beach are pristine.

On arrival I was invited to upgrade to a suite, and did so for an additional charge, and was very pleased with the spacious accomodation which was conveniently located for the swimming pools. Some accomodation, I noted, was situated a little further away. I had been concerned about whether this hotel would be child friendly, and was pleasantly surprised- […] while there is no 'kids club' as such, the small play area was popular with children, and there is an additional children's corner located inside, out of the sun, but close to the children's pool. The pools and beach are all watched over very closely by lifeguards, who are very prompt to respond to any infringement of rules! Concierge was,nt even willing to do a booking for us.Their response was -Sorry […] you have to do it yourself.We do not do this.(unbelievable ) . On arrival we were greeted in a brusque, disinterested manner by a male member of staff at reception, which we had read about on other reviews. Most reception staff were Russian and of a similar manner, but we found all other staff to be extrememly friendly and helpful. He offered us a room upgrade, but then told us would be charged it! We declined […] the offer! Our room was comfortable and although the mosque was across the main rd, we were not disturbed by the call to prayer, contrary to other reviews. Pool areas were lovely, quiet and well maintained, with comfortable loungers and as many towels as we required. Pool area food and drink service was good. The small private beach was lovely, although we were surprised by the heavy surf! Japanese bar and restaurant near the beach was excellent, great fun and very funky, open till 3am with a great DJ playing great selction of music. We didnt sample the breakfast as we felt it was quite expensive, but there is a great coffee shop across the road near Spinneys supermarket.Called The Lime Tree and run by New Zealanders, they serve the most amazing cakes, including several gluten free options, great breakfasts and large variety of lunch options. Would highly recommend! Would have tried the spa but found the treatments were expensive, £70+ for a massage, so didnt bother. Golf buggies available to take you to and from your room and as these are spread around the complex in small apartment blocks this was very useful. Read more

Pleasantly surprised after reading several bad reviews this hotel was great! Considering how reasonable it is I can't fault it. Maybe some reviewers are expecting too much for their money and being a tad unrealistic. After arriving at 6am from the airport the staff were very helpful and checked me in to a room straight away!
