Doubletree by Hilton is conveniently located about 10-15 minutes walk away from KLCC and twin towers. The room itself is quite spacious and well equipped. We had an executive room, which was on 33rd floor and had a great view of city. Paying extra for executive room is well worth it, since we have got access to executive floor, where we had breakfast […] and evening meals, drinks and snacks were served for whole day. There is an excellent view of twin towers from the terrace and wifi is available. You can also get an iPad on loan. The best of all is that you can get served by front desk on executive floor instead of going to lobby, for check out, arranging taxi, renewing keys, etc. Since the hotel is quite busy, there is queue in reception in the lobby especially at the time of check in or check out. We were traveling with 3 year old child, and found that hotel provides free laundry for babies and toddlers 4 years and younger. They can also provide baby strollers and other staff on loan. The swimming pool was quite good, and there was small kids swimming pool as well. Not sure about any other kids activities. The service provided was quite good in overall, staff was attentive. My whole family and cousins (6 of us) went there and got three rooms at double tree. I was a little disappointed when they couldn't accommodate us on the same floor especially when our request was king beds but they have us nice rooms and the staff was generally nice. Once my cousin wrapped her swim suit in a towel and left it on the bed and went out […] for a while and the cleaning crew took the towel so we went to the concierge and told them what happened. They immediately found the crew and found the swim suit and dried it off and put it in a nice sealed bag. The makan kitchen where we had breakfast was awesome! I really liked their variety of bread. The hotel is located in downtown KL so it's really close to big tourist sites like Twin tower and KLCC and pavilion. We were all happy that we chose doubletree and their signature cookie was good too. Personally, it wasn't my favorite but some ppl liked it so it was a hit! One thing I didn't like about this hotel was that we couldn't use wifi in the room unless we paid for Internet. The hotel lobby lounge does offer 30 minutes of wifi for free but I expected more. Location was a short walk to metro station so easy to get around the city. There is a small mall across the street but not much to see or buy there. Hotel is big and spacious and free internet in lobby. KL is a big city with much to see and do. The hotel was generally convenient all around.

As the hotel is located in a shopping mall, it doesnt have an inviting and homely feel to it, the lobby is a hectic and unpleasant space, the band playing at night is loud and horrible, we always passed the lobby fast. All the staff we happened to meet were unfriendly and not professional at all, this started at check in and left a bad taste throughout […] the stay. Breakfast service is poor and the athmosphere in the dark restaurant is simply not nice. This kept us from using any more outlets of the hotel. The room however was great, spaceous and comfortable. Upon check in we filled up the application form for the Hilton Honors programme, the staff didnt explain anything, only that we will get a letter which she will send to the room later, this letter didnt arrive and we still dont know if we have been enrolled or not. I must say I was a very happy camper when I stayed here. The hotel is pretty new, very clean, and service staff pretty attentive (especially the concierge service). It is about a 10-minute walk from KLCC, but it wasn't an issue for my travelling party. The rooms we stayed in was very clean and large. Comfortable beds. I stayed in this hotel in an executive suite on the 29th floor. The suite was very clean when we arrived. The receptionist put us first in a suite on the 12th floor, there was No garbage can, hair dryer, tissues, TV and Radio weren't working. We just had to sleep in it for the first day as we were really tired after a long flight. Executive lounge serves very nice food and beverages with nice cozy sitting on the 34th floor with nice looking over the mountains and greenery. In Room dinning was excellent too. According to my cab driver, the hotel was only a year or two old. It was beautiful - sparkling new and the service from all the staff was excellent. I ate in two different restaurants on the property and they were both very good. The neighborhood is not particularly nice (and lots of construction going on next door), but the hotel was secure and just […] a block from the metro station. I walked around the hotel during the day and had no issues. Room was very comfortable with very high quality amenities. I was disappointed there wasn't a bathtub, only a shower. But the shower was good. I would absolutely stay here again. I'm not sure if I was the only person on the floor during my stay, but it was silent. The hotel is brand new. The hotel isn't complete yet, so not all the floors are open and the shops are still under construction (as of Oct 2010). There was no wifi on the floor at this point but there is a network cable provided in the room and internet access is a paid service as usual. Everything is as I would expect from a DoubleTree that is brand […] new. Great bathroom with a soft rain shower head. The room was very quiet and everything was very modern and new. The dining area is large with an extensive selection for a breakfast buffet. The pool is outdoors and the water felt rather cool which can be refreshing or down right cold to some. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. They were able to provide information about the city and get taxi drivers to use the meter for us. The staff even stopped my group from getting into a random taxi because they felt the taxi driver was not being honest. The staff can also arrange for city tours. A few tennis celebrities were staying at the hotel during the same time that I was there. Read more

The hotel is centrally located, although the surroundings do lack a bit of atmosphere (there are a number of construction sites, busy roads etc). Also, taxi drivers were unfamiliar with the location as the hotel has only recently been […] taken over by the Hilton chain. The staff on arrival was very friendly, efficient, and even gave us two warm, tasty cookies to enjoy back in our room. As the hotel has only recently been re-opened after renovation, everything is uber-new and clean. Our room was very comfortable and appointed well-down pillows and duvet, bathrobes, great shower, bathroom scale, flat-screen TV etc. Additionally, the facilities are great from the dining areas, to the pool and gym (with brand-new equipment). Only downside is that the pool gets barely any sunlight as the building is adjacent to a number of other high-rises. Worth noting as well that the breakfast is absolutely amazing! Service at times left a bit to be desired (had to fight tooth and nail for a pot of early grey tea!) but was happy to overlook in light of how satisfied we were overall. Read more

I loved the hotel the minute we walked up to it because it was very modern and beautiful. We got fresh baked cookies at check-in, which were delicious. Our room was fantastic! It was really big. The ONLY downside is that you have to pay for the internet. The pool was amazing, with a view of the Petronas Towers. Check that out at night for sure.
