"Wonderful building in Music Row area"
Union Station is a great restoration re-development of one of the grand old train stations. Magnificent building and the lobby atrium is stunning. Our room had 18 foot ceilings and windows the full height! The furniture and decor were excellent. We were only there one night but the staff was friendly and very professional. "Historic and Comfortable"
The union Station is a beautiful hotel in a historic setting. It is within walking distance to many attractions. The staff is friendly and the wifi free. Would stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice , but small."
The hotel itself is very nice, however, on their website I was lead to believe the suites were fairly large. The "suites" are smaller than normal hotel rooms, and did not include the amenities that I would expect in a "suite". Normally this would be fine, but paying what I did for the room, I was left very disappointed.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is awesome in every way. Beautiful structure, excellent service, amazing food from the restaurant. It is within walking distance of many events, sites, and major night spots. Couldn't have been more pleased.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed at the Union Station Hotel for 2 days and a night and found it to be a great hotel. It's a beautiful building with a great staff. It is also close to everything; music venues, good restaurants, historic sights, the Capitol buildings..... It has an experienced and professional staff that takes good care of all the needs of their guests.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Union Station was awsome"
This may have been the best hotel I have ever stayed at...wonderful! My family and I had every wish taken care of and we were treated like we were big time. The staff was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. The valets were GREAT..they knew directions to places and hustled to get our car as often as we needed it. The valets are the face of the hotel. […] The room was big and comfy. The noise from trains was truly minimal. We ate in the restaurant there one night and it was a bit pricey, $40 per person, but very good. I couldn't have been more pleased..if we ever go back to Nashville... Union Station will be our hotel of choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"House Keeping not of high standards!"
Hotel was ok, but house keeping was below average. Dirty Glasses left in hallway for days. Tub and toilet not cleaned. Ran out of toilet paper. Nice looking building, Kathi at front desk helpful with booking activities and good suggestions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel. Customer service outstanding. Yes- you hear the trains but what to expect it was a train station. Did not bother us. Very pricey stayed only one night and the rest at another down the street which was more affordable and had great customer service and a refrigerator !! Really not worth the added costGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Union Station - History of trains"
A "must" stay for those looking for class in a hotel. The history of the building (converted train station) and the interior areas are fantastic - they did it right with this restoration. Valet service second to none during our 5 day visit - Great job Greg.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful historic hotel"
We chose to stay at the Union Station Hotel because of it's unique architecture, history, and prime location in Nashville. It's amazing how the train station was transformed into a beautiful and equally functional upscale hotel. The outside view from our room was nothing special, but the room itself was gorgeous: tall windows, high ceiling (we even […] had a bit of an echo), extremely comfortable bed, and expected modern ammenities. Located on Broadway, the hotel is a short walk to the downtown area (about 5 blocks) where there's plenty of live music, historic buildings, and great food- without it being in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. While you won't hear much downtown noise, there is an occasional commercial train that passes by the hotel- which in a strange way adds to the experience. The staff was perfectly friendly and professional; helping us to get the most out of our short getaway. The restaurant at the hotel served delicious food, though we only ate brunch. "Elegance and history near all the attractions"
Union Station Hotel was not only beautiful, but also elegant. My husband and I enjoyed staying there very much and would recommend that anyone going to Nashville seek it out as the #1 place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. Hotel was beautiful, with the exception of the room it was a little deceiving from what I had thought I booked. Was also right next to train tracks, and service door for employees, as a result it was loud most of the night. Being able to sleep was an issue. I will come back to Union Station, for mostly […] the staff, I'll just know what room not to stay in for the price. Front desk, valet, and Franklin the bellman great all around! "Worth a Visit"
Only stopped for one night, but had an excellent experience. The staff was awesome and the room was spotless. Just up the hill from all the hot spots on Broadway so the location was really good. Had a really enjoyable stay. Will be back!Genuine Expedia guest review

way overpriced. bellman dropped clothes off a hanger in the hall. glass on the bar was chipped and the rooms were way small. our view was a parking lot and railroad tracks. on the plus side, rooms were decorated nice and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review

Did not tell us there would be construction literally outside of our room in the hallway, Internet did not work, the "beautiful" main room was fiilled with crane's working on the interior. "Beautiful stay in a piece of history!"
I loved loved loved this hotel. It was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was friendly, welcoming and very helpful and the hotel is a close walk to all the excitement of downtown Nashville. "Wonderful place for disposable income."
Amazing place, beautiful clean rooms...and incredibly courteous and helpful staff... However... They nickel and dime you for everything. $12/night for wifi, $26 to park, $1.50 for CANNED soda, $3.00 for 12oz bottle of soda. For what I paid ($400/night) ALL of that should be included... The comforts are great, but when you end up spending an additional […] $100 for the little stuff, it starts to become less fun. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Wonderful experience and stay at Union Station Hotel. Every staff person that we interacted with was positive and quick to help us. This along with the beautiful amenities made our experience great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel, comfortable beds, clean, large room (we stayed in room 521 - very large room, 20' ceilings), fast and good room service (from Prime 108 restaurant...which is also excellant). Lobby of this hotel is incredible, free afternoon cheese and crackers and free breakfast. At check in I requested a room on the fourth or fifth floors and was […] told I was given "her favorite room" and it was....very nice, very friendly staff. Definately will stay there again. "Business and pleasure."
I travel frequently for my job, very much appreciated the "safe" feel of the property and the attentive staff. Morning coffee and scones was a nice touch as was the cheese and crackers at the end of the day. Enjoyed the food menu and the location of the hotel. Great hotel! I was expecting a little more "room" for my money, but overall a great experience. Beautifully decorated interior. Valet was super fast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel, high rates, additional charges."
Gorgeous atrium. Convenient downtown location. Close to interstate. For a hotel of this quality they should have had exhaust fans in the bathroom. The mirrors steamed up with every shower. No refigerator in the room. Also, given the rate they should provide free WiFi instead of adding an additional charge. They also charge an additional fee for parking. […] Who goes to a hotel without a car? It's over $20 per night for valet with unlimited leaving & returning, $15 for park your own, but you have to pay every time you leave. Given the high rate of one night's stay the additional fees make it much more expensive than it might seem. Beautiful place with lots of additional charges. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The valet guys are a positive and the hotel is well kept. But the staff in the bar area was bad and the front desk staff did not care that we were staying there and planning to eat the Thanksgiving dinner there they let people who were not even staying with them eat there and told us they were booked and did not even try to make arrangements for us! […] We had to go to another hotel to eat and ended up wishing we had booked with them instead because the staff was overly helpful and friendly! The room was nice but the trains run all night so if this bothers you you would probably not enjoy and if you stay on a lower level you can hear the people above you walking! We could have overlooked all of this had the staff been even remotely helpful and considered there guests instead of people coming in just to eat there! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"I was expecting more!"
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is within walking distance to downtown, albiet, an uphill walk on the return trip. The room itself was very impressive; three huge rooms (full bathroom, living area, and bedroom). The bed was unbelievably comfortable and made sleeping a pure joy. However, with the good, there must also be the not-so-good. After […] a long day of driving, the first thing we did upon check in was take a shower. Unfortunately, the shower door did not close securely, resulting in a bit of a flood on the floor. We had to request numerous extra floor mats for our duration. I found it hard to believe that no other guests had complained about this before. I did advise the front desk and they did offer to have maintenance come and look at the shower. Also, I had to request from the front desk an extra bathrobe, as there was only one in the room. When making a hotel reservation for two, and one of the perks is a complimentary use of a bathrobe, there should be a bathrobe supplied to both guests. Lastly, the plumbing does require some work. The hotel itself may be very old, but the plumbing should be up-to-date. On the morning of our check-out, the toilet did back-up. It was quite disgusting. Thank goodness it was on our very last morning and we did not have to deal with it. So overall, the property itself was impressive, but the details to the room itself, for the price paid, was not up to my standards. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Historic Landmark Worth the Extra $$"
Stunning hotel within a stone's throw Nashville's Music Row and sorrounding downtown area. The hotel's interior is quite charming as it is set within a remodeled train station. "Designers, architects, history buffs, stay here!"
If you appreciate atmosphere, definitely consider the Union Station Hotel. This former train station has a lobby that soars up to an enormous skylight and has huge stained-glass windows on either end and in many of the public spaces like the restaurant. It's easy to imagine the days when the river and the trains connected Nashville to the outside world, […] and what a majestic hub this place must have been. We stayed in a nice suite. It was quiet, large, and sufficient. Our daughter stayed in a roll-away bed in the second room. The staff was friendly and amazing, and breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. "Rat in our room"
Less than 2 hours after we checked in late at night, we saw a rat run across our room. It went under a cabinet but ventured out despite our screams. It took 30 minutes and 3 phone calls for assistance before we packed our bags and left. We were given another room but no apology from management. The next day I spoke with management who claimed they did […] not know this happened. For the duration of our stay, we received no gesture of apology from the hotel management. No note, no voice mail, no gesture. After we checked out two different managers contacted us and provided a full apology. But it was too late. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great staff / Romantic place to stay"
My husband and I stayed there for our Anniversary trip. The hotel is beautiful, and the location is about a 10 min walk to "downtown". This hotel has the friendliest staff and they were so helpful. The only downside was that they hosted two weddings while we were there, in the atrium/lobby. To get out from our room, we could have walked right through […] the ceremony. Thankfully, we found a sneaky way to get out. Also, the AC in our room was a bit noisy, as well as the trains. If you stay on the back side of the building, the trains can be kind of loud. They came by about 2 times a night or early morning. I would recommend this hotel, but I would probably not stay there again, it was pretty pricey. It was worth it for the one time experience of staying in a historical building. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great historic hotel"
From the minute we drove up to the historic hotel, which towered over other buildings, the valet staff were warm and welcoming. Softest sheets, pillows and great mattress. "If only all hotels were like this one..."
A beautiful hotel in an old restored train station, this is as unique as it is beautiful. Think Grand Central Station on a smaller scale converted to a hotel. My suite was really a suite, 2 large separate rooms with a door you could close between them, unlike many "suites" in other chain hotels that are simply a large-ish single room. All staff were […] very friendly and professional; I was really treated like a guest, as in a guest in someone's home, not a customer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Exceptional service and terrific experience"
When visiting Nashville for business or pleasure, I usually stay at the Opryland Hotel. However, the service there has been less than great during the past several stays and I have always wanted to check out Union Station downtown so decided to give it a try. It was a really great experience from check in to check out. The staff was accommodating and […] friendly. The valets at the front door really understand 'first impression'! It was very busy when we arrived but they made us seem like we were the only ones in line. The food in Prime 108 was exceptional! We had drinks, a late lunch and breakfast there. A bit pricey but not exceedingly so, especially given the 5 star quality. Will most definitely be my new Nashville home away from home. The welcoming environment created by the well trained staff, the thoughtfully designed decor and the terrific location will not disappoint even the most seasoned traveler.
