"Excellent base to explore greater Miami"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Hotel staff very friendly. nice lobby, good breakfast with fresh fruits and no plastic dishes. After complaining about the size of suite we were sold for 5 persons (definitely too small and not a fair sale) we were given complimentary upgrade to a two bed room suite by the manager which was very much appreciated. Free parking and free wireless internet are very convenient as well as close access to highway and airport.

"Comfortable, clean, & close to the cruiseport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Free shuttle to the hotel from airport. Nice exercise room and pool. Room was very comfortable, staff friendly, and hotel was well-maintained and clean. Shuttle provided by hotel to points of interest and cruiseport. Definite return stay next time catching a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale.

"First time at a Hilton"
I had never stayed at a Hilton until I visited the downtown Miami hotel in March of 2012. I was pleased by the service from everyone there. They were efficient and polite. They also have the gift shop, which was a great thing to find in case you forgot to pack something or need it in a pinch. The room was good. The bed was comfortable and the furniture […] was fine for relaxing or work. The bathroom was clean. It was pretty standard and what I expected. I got a great rate for booking in advance in January. In conclusion, it was money well spent. If you are looking to stay somewhere near the port before a cruise, this is a good place to do it and cheaper than South Beach hotels. I was there for a concert on Key Biscayne and it was a great location for that as well. Read more

"Not have happy at all!"
So we got a room for Ultra fest becuase of the location, we got up late and the cleaning said she would clean the room, when we got back the whole room was still a mess. Not to mention we really needed clean towels, we can at night and then we were hung up on.
"major attitude from staff...."
Yes, it was music festival weekend but staff decided that they wanted to put service aside and suddenly you felt you are in a 2-star hotel.

"Hilton Miami Downtown"
This hotel was very close to the port of miami. Great if you are leaving for a cruise the following day. My kids were arriving earlier and they allowed an early check in. Not too much happening at night in the immediate surroundings but it was a short cab ride to other neighborhoods.
"Not worthy"
expensive and very unconvinient parking(unless you choose valet parking), no free wifi, never come again.
Slow service at the lounge. We didn't get our breakfast at the time we requested (2 hours later).
"HILTON MIAMI DOWNTOWN"
EXCELLENT LOCATION IF YOU ARE GOING ON A CRUISE, VERY CLOSE TO DOCKS.
"Rediculas parking"
$28 a day minimum to park at this hotel.
"Nice hotel - clean and comfortable."
Stayed at hotel for one night prior to going on a cruise. Hotel was great with the exception of the price of drinks at the bar by the pool. We spent over $50 for four drinks and did not leave a tip which is highly unusual for us. But the prices were litterally a shock. Maybe it is just Miami.
"Hilton Down Town Miami"
Overall satisfy with service however AC was too noisy and facility did not do anything about it!!!

"Hilton Miami Downtown"
Excellent property. Very nice facilities and service. I would definitely stay here again. A bit on the expensive side but this is downtown Miami.
"Not Recommended"
Air conditioner rattled, even after they stuffed more cardboard in the unit. Beds were hard and lumpy. The "Bay View" room turned out to be a roof view room. They were out of food at the club level breakfast and had to go downstairs and pay a lot for the same eggs. Hotel needs a remodel to freshen it up.
Great place to stay. Not too far from south beach nor mid town Miami.
"OK Hotel"
The best thing about the hotel was how comfortable the beds were. Unfortunately, it wasn't as clean as it could have been. There was hair in the shower and some garbage that wasn't thrown out from one of the garbage cans. Also, hotel personnel could use some retraining in customer service.
"Great location and price"
Great location to explore Miami away from South Beach.
"HILTON MIAMI DOWNTOWN"
I have been to several Hiltons around the country, and this is my least favorite. There was no shuttle to take us from the airport to the hotel, and neither was there a shuttle to take us to the Port of Miami, even though it was only about 2 miles away. The desktop was unclean, as was the bathroom vanity top. The holder for the tolilet paper roll was […] attached to the underside of the vanity, which was an uncomfortable distance from the toilet, so that you had to really stretch to reach it. They did have a very nice pool, with a spectacular view, overlooking the city. The food in the restaurant was outrageously delicious, and the service in the restaurant was very accommodating. "the Hilton in Miami"
very nice place. we have a ocean view room and it is very clean. highly recommend
"Parking"
Parking should be free.
Staff was most friendly and helpful. Excellent service. Room was good but not great. Had to walk through lobby/restaurant/lounge area to get to pool. Parking rates were excessive and customers should be made aware of costs before reserving rooms.
"NYC"
100% clean and comfortable I would stay again

"This is a great hotel"
We stayed here 2 nights prior to going on a cruise. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. Our room was nicely appointed and the queen bed was roomy and comfortable. The pool and fitness center are especially nice. The hotel is about a block away from the MetroMover, which is free to ride. We took it several times to the Bayside Marketplace […] for shopping and dining. There are several reviews that mention homeless people sleeping on the streets. I almost didn't stay here because of those reviews. Every city has its bad parts. We were advised by the staff to avoid these areas. Don't miss the S&S diner for breakfast or the Italian restaurant in the Doubletree, which is directly behind the Hilton. I will definitely stay here again. Read more

"Very nice but..."
Staff demonstrated good customer service skills overall. First floor lounge & bar area was very nicely furnished & designed; it was comfortable, and had great space. We got to have a late evening snack and drink and enjoy a football game there. The waiting area for shuttles was nicely done and was partially outside, yet under cover and spacious. Room […] was very nice and clean BUT, it was quite unpleasant to use our room's bathroom and actually hear someone in the bathroom next to ours rolling their toilet tissue at the same time! Perhaps all rooms are not like this, but this left a not-so-great impression. Read more
"Very close to the port of Miami"
It was a beautiful lobby, great room service and a great view. The front desk was especially wonderful and friendly plus they upgraded our room for free and we didn't even ask!
I chose this Hotel because they said they had FREE shuttle service to the Pier. Not so when I checked in. Otherwise hotel was really nice. Close to venues and restaurents. And it was close to the Pier but did not have the service advertised.

"Good deal"
Hotel was comfortable and convenient. only negatives would be that valet is $28.00/day and self park is $25.00 so its going to cost u to park either way. Also the lounge/bar was pretty expensive. Spent almost $300 between three of us for a few drinks and appetizers. But overall its a very good hotel and service was impeccable. I would stay there again […] for sure. Read more
"Downtown Miami Hilton"
Wonderful hotel, stayed there just one night and it was easy to get to. The staff was very courteous and attentive. I checked in early went to lunch and came back an hour later and the staff remembered my name! I was very impressed, the beds were soo super comfortable, the A/C was kind of loud, the fan was blowing most of the time but it didn't bother […] me that much. We were on the 5th floor and even from there we had a view of the channel and could watch the cruise ships leave. It was worth every penny I spent! Read more
"Room was really beat up and old"
Disappointed- room was worn and abused. Some things in room were renovated- counter and shower- lots of wallpaper unfolding and cuts and scraped. The walls had so many scrapes and chipped paint along with bad patch marks- it was sad. The door to bathroom had paint torn off all the way down from closing before it was dry. Fan for a/c was the loudest […] we had ever heard -very annoying to cool room down some.Paid extra for Bayview--our location of window was next to inside corner to the side of others and there was no privacy at all with drapes open to the view. Very poor food choices only thing within 6 blocks -Burger King and Checkers fast food (bad) poor location to walk in with many homeless -beggers across the street at all hours. Would not recommeend this location. Read more
"Hilton Miami downtown"
Hotel says downtown but it is 16 blocks away from brickell bridge. It is not in a great neighborhood and you have to drive to anything. Also, they blocked my sprint wireless and had to pay for their ATT service. Very disappointing!
"Valet Parking"
I arrived with my car and told the person, I just want to check in and leave immediately. Next morning, there were $ 28,-- on my bill - nobody informed me about it!

"Parking expensive"
They want you to valet park for $28 perday. But evertime you get your car you should tiip so it's going to cost a lot of money. Parking garage is 25 per day, but thats only if you leave your car in there and never drive out.

"better than the 3 1/2 star rating"
Stayed here for the weekend while my friends chose to book the Hyatt which is about 1.5 miles away and is rated 4 stars. I felt like this hotel was better than the hyatt in every way (pool, free business center internet, bigger cleaner room with better views, etc.) Both of these hotels are about a 5-10 minute drive to south beach.
