My boyfriend and I stayed here as a quick romantic gettaway/shopping trip, and it was great. What I loved the most about this place was the heat/AC. Overall the stay was fine. However, i did have a running toilet that I'd have to go in the jiggle the handle. Also the room was pretty loud, the other side of the wall was elevators, so i heard everytime that elevator went up and down. Got no sleep the 1st night and very little the second night.

We decided to stay in Schaumberg because it is close to Chicago and quite a bit cheaper than staying in Chicago. The drive to Chicago from Schaumberg is only about 30 minutes and literally is a straight shot. The rooms are nice and so is the business center. There is a not so pleasant smell near the pool that is very strong but you cannot smell it in […] the rooms. The pillows are amazing. My only complaint was that the curtains in the room that would provide privacy and light control would not shut all the way (no track to even allow for the curtains to be shut), so there was only a sheer curtain over the window. No privacy or light control. Room was ok for a 1 night stay.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating! The area was fantastic with tons of great restaraunts and shopping. While our bathroom was modern the rest of the room felt outdated and the tv was fuzzy and not working right. there was way too much ambience coming from the room next to ours. the sound traveled way to much between rooms!! did not sleep well!

we stayed in the Double tree in Chicago downtown on Ohio st. for 2 days and that one was really nice. When we moved over to this one, it was just a complete different feel. The hallway smelled bad, had to wait for the guy at the front desk for minutes before he could check us in. He was just chatting with a friend and didn't even acknowledge our presence. […] We got to the hotel at around 11pm and just wanted to be checked in to our room and rest, but that was ridiculous that he just kept on chatting away without even at least saying hi to us! But other than that, the staff was pretty helpful. We had a roomful of kids above us for the first night that kept on jumping around all night and all morning, we were woken up at 5 by them. We informed the front desk about it and they offered to change us to a different room. That was nice, but we didn't end up having to change a room because the kids left that day. Over all the stay was good. Close to the mall and many resturants. Read more

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and have been very pleased with the location, cleanliness and staff. Everyone was very friendly. If your trying to getaway for romance or a family vacation I would definitely recommend this hotel. From the most comfortable beds I ever slept in, to the wonderful staffing, down to the convenience of Woodfield shopping mall. Let me not forget the free cookies yummmm. It was a wonderful stay and we didn't want to leave.
