"OK hotel but don't expect free internet."
The physical condition of the hotel is perfectly nice. The hotel staff are pleasant but not very helpful. A real negative to this hotel was its insistence on charging for in-room internet connectivity, even for its Starwood affinity members, when all other branded hotels in its competitive class now provide free internet access. In the future I will not book any of my business travel at Starwood hotels until it changes this policy.

By Westin standards, this property is in need of an update. The furniture in my room was threadbare, and the overall condition was not good. Normally, Westin hotels are much nicer.

"Wonderful stay, but do wish they had free wifi"
The Westin Galleria is a wonderful place to stay not only due to their convenient location to shopping and restaurants but also because of their staff and nice rooms. We did have one surprising disappointment...the only place to get free wifi was in the hotel lobby. We considered moving our bed into the lobby to do our online shopping, etc.; but we decided the hotel would probably frown on that.

Hotel seems a bit run down and in need of a facelift. That said rooms were comfy and adequate. To go to the restaurant or bar you have to go into the Galleria, which is quite odd.

"Great location"
Hotel is not good but it is not bad.. Old and AC kept getting hot .. Even when they tried to fix it.. Location wise i think it has the best location .. It is located in the mall, you dont have to go out of the hotel .. A door is just between them..staff are friendly .. But hotel definitly needs renovations

"Over priced"
The hotel is in a good location. However check in time is at 3, don't expect it. We couldn't check in till 4:30 and that was because we were persistent. No place to eat in the hotel. Had to go in the mall attached to eat on site. Hotel staff were not very helpful. Not all that for the price we paid.

"Fantastic overnight stay"
This was a very pleasant stay. The staff was extremely nice and valet was really helpful. We didn't have to do anything & they were really friendly. The rooms were comfortable and very large with a great closet. The only critique I have is the bathroom, it wasn't as nice as I had expected and the tiles could have been cleaner. Other than that, a great stay and I highly recommend this hotel. Not to mention 24/7 room service!

"Disappointing for a Westin"
We typically target to stay at Westins for the fantastic service and well kept facilities. Not so at this location. Check in was slow, chaotic lobby, children screaming in neighboring room and down the hall, facilities poorly updated, requested additional washcloths and received towels instead. Worst of it all was attempting to order late night room service. It was a simple order of two pizzas that were to be delivered in 30 minutes or less. An hour later I called room service to be told "we got slammed so we're late, and by the way we're out of pizza". Simply asked for grilled cheese instead and was told "no, it's not on the menu". We then opted for cheesesteaks. Requested no onion or peppers and was told they would rush it in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later still no food. I physically went to the front desk and was told again "we got slammed", which is no excuse for not calling to say they were out of food. Not sure if it was the manager, but she had food shortly sent up, and it was full of onions and peppers. Very disappointing.

"Overnight Trip to Galleria for Granddaughter"
The room and hotel facilities were clean and comfortable. the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The location was great and the hotel adequate for our purpose which was to take our granddaughter and a friend for an overnight stay in the Galleria area (i.e. shopping, ice skating, eating, etc.). I'd probably rate the hotel more as a 3.5 star facility than a 4 star hotel if the location was not a consideration.

"Weekend Stay"
The hotel was nice and the room was nice and clean. The elevators were prompt and when I requested a few things to the room it came very quickly. The only issue I had was with parking and it was only that I didn't know where to park. The parking garage is the turn right before the hotel drop off. It almost looks like a staging area but it leads to the parking garage.

"Easy and Convenient"
We were making a quick trip to the Galleria, so The Westin was very convenient since it is attached and is easy to get to. We valeted the car. So the next moring after sleeping in in those nice comfy beds we walked right down to the food court and ate. Then the valet brought the car around and loaded the luggage and we were able to leave the car valeted while we shopped since it was already paid for. It was great. I would recommend it to everyone!!!

"Great Stay For Shopping"
This was our second stay St the Westin Galleria, and we really enjoy are visits. It is very friendly staffed and right inside the Galleria. There are many wonderful places to eat close by, and parking is free. It is hard to get to at first, but the front desk can assist you before you arrive on where to park and what road to access. We are looking forward to another stay there soon.

"Great location"
Loved the convenience...however.....it's ridiculous that they charge to use their computers. My daughter had a paper due by midnight at her university and left behind her laptop's adapter. They offered a private room for $50 or a computer open area next to the bar, for a $$ flat rate and $ per additional minute. Crazy when you are at a 4 star hotel paying for a 4 star room.

"Elegant Shopping Just Outside Your Door"
Hotel accommodations were pleasing, staff attentive, but the location of this hotel is the real draw. One of Houston's finest shopping malls just a few steps away, with movies and restaurants as well.

"Worst Service Ever"
I don't know if I can ever stay here again. I received the worst treatment I've ever received at a hotel. They didn't get me in a room till 7:00p and we had to leave for the restaurant at 7:15p. I got jerked around from 3-7p. Unacceptable.!

"Expectations of Hotel"
For those who want quick access to Galleria its great. My biggest problem was the temperature. I could not get the room cold. It was about 74 in the room the whole time even though l lowered the thermostat. The service was good so no complaint there.
