"We like Wyngate hotels"
The room key would not let us back in the room after breakfast (before check-out time). Front desk said that happens sometime because the clocks are not always right...We usually stay at the Wyngate on Walnut Hill but they did not have doubles available. The girls at the front desk were more interested in texting and having fun with their messages, than serving guests. Lack of staffing made check in process lengthy. Beds were cheap and uncomfortable and pillows were lumpy and huge. The ironing board would not stand up and cover was stained. We stayed the night before our flight early the next morning. Shuttle was on time for our 4am departure. My first night I was greeted at the front door by flying dust from sanding the walls of the hotel, not a big deal, but a warning would have been nice as I was going to a meeting and wearing fresh black clothing that now had white spots on them. I was a bit leery when I drove up because they were in the process of remodeling, but that never disturbed me. I have stayed at this brand hotel in the past without issue. This property was in a shady part of town with nothing near by within walking distance (food, groceries...). We were disappointed that the free breakfast that was supposed to run until 9 am was stopped at 830. No coffee, no hot food, and there were at least 20 of us in the lobby area searching […] for hot food and coffee (as promised). We were told by a staffer that because it was close to 9 that no more additional hot food or coffee would be made. Staff was indifferent across the board. The first floor rooms can hear all movement upstairs from other guests walking. The front desk did not instruct us to the proper name of the shuttle to look for when we were at the airport.
