Best place we have stayed in Times Square ever! Great renovation since we last were thereGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Low water pressure"
Stayed on the 19th floor. Water pressure was too low. Never got a decent hot shower in the three days I was thereGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, very clean, nice friendly staff"
We had a wonderful 5 day visit to NYC... Nice bedding & very clean... Friendly staff... Room was smaller than anticipated... But we were out seeing the city most of the day. Great little coffee breakfast sandwich shop attached to the hotel lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The lobby is beautiful but the Room is unkept and a/c did not work properly. Paint on ceiling was falling off and there were hair pins on floor from last visitos. The only good thing about this hotel is the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"NEVER AGAIN IN A MILLION YEARS"
I would never recommend ANYONE to stay at this hotel. They put all of their money into renovating the lobby, making it appear to be a very posh and modern hotel. The rooms on the other hand, are definitely not! The room is not only small, but has all of the appearances of an old building: peeling paint, discolored tiles, permanent stains on the toilet, […] and markings all over the bathtub. When I saw the horrendous state of the bathroom I called to request a room change. I was put through the ringer, playing phone tag with the manager, who never called me back. They went so far as to stop answering my call when I called the front desk! Completely unprofessional. They finally sent someone to clean the bathroom, come to find out that the issues can't be cleaned--a result of being old. I call to inform them of the situation and yet again no one is answering. I waited almost 45 min in total to receive a key to another room, which had the same issues. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Book somewhere else and spare yourself the disgust. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"
Great rate if prepay. Location is excellent, but the amenities are basic. One small bar of soap. Terrible view. Not enough room to swing a cat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sadly the Paramount was no such thing..."
I'd bypass this hotel for another in the vicinity. I stayed at The Archer for business, extended my trip by a day for pleasure and moved to the Paramount due to theatre's proximity. It was a mess...I was initially impressed by the lobby and I'd note that the bar & grill was both wonderful food and service but my room was an utter disappointment. I […] travel quite a bit, domestic and international, and this is likely the worse room I've stayed in. It was small, dingy, the heater/ac made noises even though it was supposedly serviced upon my initial complaint while I was out. The shower pull would not stay up, i.e. no shower for me, then there was only hand towels and wash cloths in the bathroom. I called to complain to the front desk at 10:30 PM and they told me my issue would be noted to the manager. I left the next morning at 6AM therefore unsure if they intended some follow up. Additionally, the walls are paper thin. At 4 AM the room guest above me came in for the night and it sounded like they decided to take on a home improvement project...their arrival woke me up abruptly when I typically could sleep through someone vacuuming my room. Again, for the price, the Marriott across the way would likely be better and you can still enjoy the lobby scene with an excursion to the bar and bypass staying in their unimpressive rooms. "Convenient and great value"
Very convenient. Room was typical NYC size, but since I wasn't in it much, worked out fine. Hotel restaurant good for a breakfast meeting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very happy with the hotel, on our first visit to NYC. Only complaint is when my wife was asked not to eat in the lobby. Quite inappropriate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The lounge is cool, that's about it. Not only are the rooms small but my air conditioning cut out for 2 nights. It was so hot and humid I could not sleep at all. The service guys came up and tried to fix it but problem consisted. Great location, that's about it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
GOOD STAY!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Never expected this kind of service"
I have stayed in several star hotels, resorts, inn and also motels. I have never experienced such a horrible service, I feel so bad that this classy star hotel has such a bad service. The hotel is at the heart of the city, steps from times square. Ambience is excellent, decorations are beautiful with DJ in the lobby. But the main items during stay […] is experience with service. 1. Such a large hotel doesn't even give a bottle of water for free or also for a cost. They do not have water anywhere in hotel. To buy water bottles I had To go store in times square. 2. We booked 2 double bed rooms for 6 people and they provided only 2 blankets, when asked for extra blankets they are providing bath towels and asked us to adjust with it After arguing for fifteen minutes then they brought blankets 3. We ordered breakfast to the room to bring at 7 am. They gave a call at 5 in the morning to inform they don't have all the stuff I ordered. Even a common tea was unavailable but it was listed in their menu 4. I requested for tooth brush and paste - I had to make 3 calls to follow up and wait thirty minutes to get the tooth paste Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Went to NYC to see the Broadway play Cinderella played by KeKe Palmer. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff is fantastic. The only complaint is the room temp, it was cold about 60 in the room, and we were informed that heat is not turned on before October 15th, in NYC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful lobby design, great location. The staff is inconsistently friendly and standard rooms are fairly small and only have the minimum amenities. The food was good and reasonably priced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was very small but I only slept there so no big deal...great location...lots of young patrons who don't know good hotel etiquette.... Noisy late at night-slamming doors-should have sign in lobby reminding patrons of others trying to sleepGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't Book This !"
We travel to NY at least 5 times a year and always trying to get in a nice hotel ... This is by far the worst yet! This should be a 1 star ! The room is dirty and smells old, it's so small your bed is 3 feet from the walls. The bathroom is nasty it's so tiny... I really wanted to leave the hotel and we faced a barbed wired wall ... Yuck !!! We went […] to Hilton Inn Garden and its a day and night difference and 1/2 the price !!! Take your $$$ somewhere else this hotel reek! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel's location couldn't be better if your interest is Time Square. Plenty of shows, shops and restaurants. We were interrupted twice during the night by security for noise however they must have had the wrong room. Kinda weird and very intrusive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Parking too high, cool hotel though"
What a cute funky hotel. Room with two doubles was not that small and very clean. No view though which was disappointing for being in new york. Cant beat the location, right off Times Square Was not very happy that i ended up paying close to 300.00 for parking for 3 nights. They said my FJ Cruiser was oversized, ridiculous. "Tiny room in a big hotel"
Compared to several other hotel experiences I've had in New York, this was one of the better places. The hotel was clean, although obviously in an older building, recent renovations don't leave you feeling like they've just painted over old, stained wallpaper. I wasn't able to sample a large number of the available amenities, but what I was exposed […] to was decent. I will say that there was very little space to spare in my room. Two beds and a very small table were the only furniture in the whole place, and the bathroom was a little tight as well. Again, I think this is more to do with the fact that the building is old than anything else. Still, great comfy bed pillows and easy walking distance to nearly anything I needed. "High Expectations = Highly Disappointed"
I had high expectations of this hotel and ended up highly disappointed. I felt like they spent all their money on the lobby and hallways. The room was very small, we had small bags and that seemed to create clutter because of spacing. There was no tissue in the room I had to call for some. They did send it rather quickly if that adds any points for […] you. The bathroom only had shampoo and conditioner, no soap to wash your hands or bathe, good thing I had my own. Nothing about our room gave us a 4 star feel. I've come for drinks before and left satisfied but staying here didn't grant me the same experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room a little too small and shower needed improvement. But loved the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved this place! What a great lobby! I actually spent time in this lobby, which I have never done on any hotel stay. Less then a 1/2 block to Times Square, trains are close, as is the theater district. The room, bed, and bathroom are very comfortable and clean. The bathroom sink that formed a cone and dropped to a point on the floor and storage for […] towels behind the mirror was an added surprise. Baggage storage before check-in and after check-out The Staff was helpful, also a great concierge service. What a great location and place! I will be staying here always when returning to NYC. "Hotel was OK. Service was great."
Hotel desk staff, valet, restaurant workers--all awesome. Really great service. Hotel itself was ok. Very dark inside. Hotel room was clean and bright (got a corner room) but not all the outlets worked and the hot water faucet was broken. Air conditioner was REALLY loud.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A pleasant stay... great location"
Came to NYC for a show and to celebrate our anniversary. Room was small but cozy. Concierge "Corine" was amazing! One warning...beware of the gift shop..on a rainy day they charged us $22 for an umbrella that they said was bigger and was the exact same as an umbrella that was $12..I was not happy about that. They did give be a better umbrella when I […] called them out on it. Overall, a wonderful stay! Great shows...a great time! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Serendipity adventure in NYC"
Had a wonderful time, staff was very helpful. Our room wasn't ready when we got there, they held our bags so we could get started with our NYC adventure. We were excited and surprised that the hotel was across the street from the theater with the show we wanted to see (Richard Roger's Theater) the show "If/Then" starring Idina Menzel, which was fabulous! […] If you stay at this hotel, you must see that musical, too good to be missed. We were just 2 short blocks from Time Square, 2 blocks to the subway at 44th and 8th, very accessible to everything. We walked to the Empire State Building, which is just down the street from Macy's (you know the one in "Miracle on 34th Street"). We went to MOMA, (Museum of Modern Art), then Rockefeller Center for an evening glass of champagne and people watching. This was a girl's get a way for my daughter and myself, always felt safe & had no problem navigating from this hotel. Would have liked the hotel to have had like morning coffee station, or a business center to print out our boarding passes. The concierge was able to print them for us, so it all worked out.Plus, half the fun of getting coffee in New York is finding a great place with coffee and bagels. We enjoyed a place called "Mangia" which had a selection of breakfasts to go, great lox and bagels, & coffee. We did what my daughter called "Breakfast at Tiffany's by getting a coffee & eating a croissant while she looked at the beautiful jewelry at Tiffany's in the morning Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great Time, Great Service!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was great. Easy walk to Times Square. Coffee bar was great! The room was tiny (which is what I hear is normal in NY) and there was no bathtub. The bathroom reminds me of a bathroom on a cruise ship. No place to put your things and 2 people cannot get ready at the same time. The bed was very comfortable!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was in a great location but I think was a little costly. I later learned it was the Open weekend as well as Fashion week so that my have been why it was more expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
