The hotel Paramount is a great hotel right in the middles of the Theatre District of New York City. We were able to walk as much as we wanted which really gave us a better exploration of the city. The rooms are a tad small, but really, what would you expect in a big city? Overall, it was fantastic!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In the heart of Theater District"
Loved hotel and especially location and friendliness of staff. Two issues only. There was no hot water for shower first night (there was in mornings). The room clock was not set for local time, which I wasn't aware of, so I missed first 10 minutes of my first Broadway Show. The convenience of walking to multiple theaters from hotel made up for these […] issues. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful hotel. The staff is great. However the rooms are small. The bathrooms in rooms need remolding The shower tiles are from the 50's. Coffee makers should be standard in every room Also return guests should get some compensation. I stayed 14 nights in one year and was not offered any price reductionGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very disappointing. Appearance was good but ice machine didn't work and hotel staff informed me that there would be a $4 delivery fee for ice brought to room. Also, air conditioner in room stopped working and had to be repaired.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent place to stay if you are seeing a show"
We came up to see Pippin on Broadway with friends. The Paramount was very convenient, and clean. The room was a bit small, but functional. The two twin beds were comfortable. Great place to stay right at Times Square/Theater District.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Terrible experience. Stayed here on a business trip. They didn't have any rooms ready when I came in at around noon so I had to change in a restroom for my next business meetings. Staff extremely unfriendly. Finally managed to check in at mindnight only to arrive in front of a locked door. Key card wouldn't work. Seems to happen a lot as staff was not […] surprised or fothcoming. Room was the size of a queen size bed. could barely walk around it. Room was 77 degrees and AC had the noise level of a 747 at lift-off. No sleep possible for 3 hours. Called front desk, nobody picked up. After a good 3 hours of sleep, tried to shower but close to zero water pressure. Bathroom about 4 square feet so expect to hit your elbows when you turn around. never again. "Low Water Pressure"
I love this place and have stayed here over 10 times. However, on my last 2 stays I have been disappointed with the water pressure in the shower. In fact, I left the shower with the sensation that I still had soap on. This is turning me off.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Served its purpose for short stay"
Paramount is still a fun hotel at which to stay, central to a lot of activity and some fun to be had on premises. It was a very expensive night to stay in NYC I am guessing due to the NFL draft that next day. My room was hilariously small. It became a running joke for the next 24 hours. More than 24 hours and I would have been rattling my cup on the […] window grates prison style (a feeling accentuated by the stainless steel sink). Also, the water was out for testing from 11PM to 6AM the next day, but unavoidable and really not too bad an issue although it seemed to kill the bar action that night. Amazingly quiet rooms Lobby attractive but very dark as we're the elevators Never had to wait for any service Staff polite, friendly Great location for shows and restaurantsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My hotel lacked proper water pressure in the shower as well as maximizing at "luke warm" for water temperature. The A/C was incredibly loud and the room was tiny. On my last night there, the hotel had to shut off water from 11pm-6am per NYC maintenance (not the hotel's fault but this added to my consternation). Overall, I'm sure its ok if you're looking […] for a low-cost option. However, this last week was very busy in NYC and I had to pay a last minute rate of $450/night (including taxes) which was a price point far above the quality. Additionally, the built-in gratuity at the bar was a bit tacky to me (this is unusual for NYC hotels and/or most US cities in general). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff were very accommodating. The location was central to many good things. The noise level was the problem. The hotel lobby played rock music loud and clear throughout the day. Perhaps that is what people under 60 want but it was very difficult for me. I couldn't wait to get out of the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"closet and smell"
There was no place for me to hang my pants because the closet was full of drawers and a safe, neither of which I needed. The smell (disinfectant) in the lobby and the halls was too strong. Some of us are very sensitive to intense fragrance, I recommend that you use a less or find some with less scent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bargain in a great location"
Given the comments, I was surprised that the petite room was as large as it was. I've stayed in smaller rooms in large cities. The room was clean and sparsely furnished, yet comfortable. It wasn't pristine though - there was spackle on the wall above the bed and the bathroom fixtures were a bit of a mess, but they worked fine. The only real disappointment […] was that they charged $35 a person for a brunch buffet in the restaurant that was worth about $12. In contrast, the dinner prices were relatively fair. When we complained, they knocked the price down. If you're expecting perfection and a large room, this isn't the place for you. If you want a bargain hotel in a convenient location, I would highly recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel clean and location"
Good hotel rooms and bathroom kind of small but does the trick if u are visiting for a few days with not much luggage. Rooms are clean and modern and bed is very comfyGenuine Hotels.com guest review

All in all it was a good stay but room was not ready on time and no doormen most of the times we entered and exited.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easy in and out for business no hassle"
wasnt expecting such a small room. Lighting in the bathroom was so bad I had to put on all lights and open the drapes, sit outside the bathroom to do my makeup with the full length mirror. Closet is only half a closet. None of my dresses or suits laid full length while hangingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The room was much smaller than I expected!"
The location is at 46th street, very close to time square. Very convenient! However, with such high rate, I expected my room to be bigger... It turned out the room was even smaller than my own bedroom... but it's New York.. what do you expected. Even though the room was small, it was big enough for 2 people to live... And I like its style... so.. overall, […] I would give 4/5 for this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"a quick NY trip"
we had a great stay at the paramount, the rooms were clean and nicely set up. the staff was courteous and helpful and made adjustments when hick-ups arose. the only draw back was the shower water pressure which was low making it difficult during showersGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, clean, just a bad shower"
I generally loved the Paramount Hotel. The room was clean, and it stayed clean during my 3-night stay. I was able to sleep soundly at night and sleep late every morning. The location is great; right in the middle of both Hll's Kitchen and Times Square. I saw six Broadway shows and waited until 15 minutes before showtime to leave my room. The one bad […] thing about this hotel was the shower. The shower had such meager water pressure that I myself never felt clean. The shower head let out such a small trickle of water that I would have to stand right under it and then contort myself into crazy poses to get all parts of me clean. I sincerely hope they upgrade the water pressure because then this hotel would be perfectly wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pay for location"
Overall a fantastic location just off Times Sq and in easy reach of most NYC sights by walking. Here you are paying for location only. The hotel is quite nice with a busy lobby area. The rooms are small, clean but no frills at all. Service was awful and I had to wait 1 hour before room service sent up small amenities I had forgotten. Also, booking […] through hotels.com or equiv sites means no wifi ($14 to buy for 24hrs) Nonetheless, recommended hotel for anyone staying for holidays or business (lots of businesses around the Times Sq area). Had booked a single room however it was TINY by far smallest room I have ever seen in NYC - TV did not work - when asked for price to upgrade they upgraded me for free - very impressed with that service. Lobby and bar are very nice and classy - not a fan of the 18% tip been added to bar bills - prefer to decide on my own tip - - room itself was nice- […] ac very loud and could not turn off- also banging throughout the night ( think a cable may have been banging against outside wall. "Last minute hotel room meets need"
Hotel served my business travel needs. Lighting in Hotel lobby, elevators and corridors were darker than I would prefer. Other than that the hotel was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved the Paramount. I have no complaints. Everything was superb. The people that worked there are super nice and the room was clean and for someone who had never been to NYC and was traveling alone, they were very very helpful. First thing I did when i got home was tell my sister about my hotel :) thanks guys!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Times Square"
Overall very good. Check-in was excellent, with helpful staff. Room itself was smaller than expected, the shower had very low pressure (surprising for NYC), and the windows were really dirty. No coffee making equipment in the room, also a surprise in 2014. Food on site extremely expensive, but good family eating was close and reasonable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the price and location"
This is an older building that's been renovated, keep this in mind. The room was small as was the bathroom. But the beds were really comfy and the tub was big enough to soak in after a day of wandering around (if you are under 5'4"). There was a small bit of plaster that was missing from the wall and the only thing that drove me nuts was the air unit […] was really loud. I turned it off and the unit from the rooms above and below were just as loud, so I eventually turned mine back on to keep the room from getting stuffy. But this was worth it to be a block from Times Square, an easy walk to Central Park, and many other sights and restaurants, and the staff were all really nice and helpful. I would stay here again...but I will remember to bring my ear plugs Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Theatre Buff's Dream Location!"
Perfect Times Square location! Hotel is smack in the middle of the theatre district. We were offered an upgrade without asking. Room was beautiful and clean! Hotel staff was amazing from check in to housekeeping to security. When we returned to the hotel around 3am one morning we were stopped by security who asked to see our room key which was a welcomed […] surprise. Hip decor and a DJ at night. Check out the on site gift shop for cute and unusual gifts. I did book through hotels.com and frequently checked the current price. The price went down three times and I called for the price match which I was given. The refund amounted to $230, well worth my time checking and calling. The only minor hotel complaint would be the low water pressure in the shower, but for the location and price I would over look it. I will definitely be back!!! "Great Location- rooms are ok"
We went to NYC for a quick theatre trip- location is ideal. Lobby is swanky, and coffee shop was convenient. Rooms were ok. We had a king size bed, with a lovely view of an alley. Bathrooms are super tight, especially trying to get into shower. I would stay there again if Broadway was my primary angle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient & reasonable"
This was my second stay at the Paramount via hotels.com and I was very pleased. Got a great rate and it was convenient to everything I needed to see. "perfect for theatre buffs"
Location was great for a fun family get-away. We arrived at 6 pm, ran to buy theatre tickets, and made a 7 pm curtain! Right off Times Square, so easy access without all the noise. Room was clean and VERY cozy for four, but always true in NYC -- and we weren't there to sleep anyway. Great lobby for meeting friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, good service"
I had a King suite, which is larger than a normal King room. However, it was on the 4th floor and very noisy at night (sirens, elevator, road work, etc). I asked to be moved to the highest possible floor and was switched right away. The rest of my stay was quiet and had much better sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at The Paramount Hotel for four nights and really enjoyed it. We arrived before check in and the staff kindly offered to store our luggage so we could begin our vacation. "Love the hotel"
Love everything in the hotel. The lobby has the most delicious smell ever. The only thing was the bedroom a little small that i thought and the elevators (only 4 and you spend so many time waiting) Buy i will back for sure because everything else was perfectGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location To Broadway"
The Paramount certainly looks awesome when you first walk in. The design of the lobby is dark, trendy and clean. However, it was so dark that you pass the front desk completely. The level of customer service is okay with the entire staff at the Paramount. The highlight of my stay was the proximity to everything going on in Times Square. However, on […] the downside, the condition of the rooms are a bit shabby. Cracked & peeling paint on the ceiling is not the best thing to look at when you are trying to rest. The sink & mirror in the bathroom was clean but other parts of the bathroom showed signs of rust and the grout on the tiles could use a good scrub. Overall, it was a good hotel for a weekend stay because we didn't really spend much time in the room. However, when I return to NYC, I will book in a different hotel because the level of quality is not what it seems on the inside as it does on the outside. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I love the location, away from everything but close at the same time. Very quiet, love the lobby bar where you can sit, chat and eat with friends. "Classy, not pricey, great location"
I love the Paramount. You can't beat the price for a Times Square Hotel. Very clean. Rooms are small, but this is a Times Square Location. I don't live in my room for 24 hours. I sleep in it. Do you know what square footage costs in this location? HIGH!!! The Lobby is very cool. Staff was very helpful and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I chose the paramount due to the affordable room price and good proximity to the Javitz center, restaurants and theatres.Genuine Expedia guest review
We loved the location, the staff and the coffee shop in lobby. Shower was very small. Had some trouble with the AC. Housekeeping offered a suggestion of moving the control box closer to unit but the AC still really work properly. Fabulous lobby and the quickest elevators I have even used in a hotel. "Not worth the price just because of the location."
The rooms where not as expected, there was nothing superior about the room. The room was superior double but it was two full sized beds instead of two queen beds. The room details said large enough for four adults, wasn't the case. The beds were so close u close you could roll over and land in the other persons bed. The a/c and heat unit is remote control […] from the wall and has a hiding circuit on the plug outlet that makes it cut off, so then u won't be able to control the unit until you call hotel maintenance. The only the thing good about the hotel was the lobby the and bar& grill. Also had to switch the booked rooms to another room because heating/air unit. Renovated old hotel not worth the price. Good to Bestwestern Presidential Suites or Crown Plaza hotel both same area for same price much better appearance. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The best thing about this hotel is it is located a 2 minute walk from Central Time Square. Upon entering you will be greeted with a very beautiful and modern lobby. However, once you get to your room you realize how you got a decent deal at this hotel given its location. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people coming and going. During my 2 […] nights stay I could hear people's cellphones from other rooms ring as well as sirens from outside. The room is also very small if you get a single bed. I would recommend a 2 bed room because the space greatly increases. Overall this hotel was used to store my things and to sleep in. Also there is a parking lot right next to the hotel but it gets full very quickly especially during any event. It is 55 for 24 hours which is reasonable considering other places in the area charge more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel near Times Square needs maintenance"
*** note: I've stayed in dozens of hotels in NYC, and each time I visit I like to stay in a new hotel for a new experience We stayed for a total of 6 nights -- Deluxe King room is very very small (there is about 2 feet of space on all sides of the king size bed -- bathroom had a leak in the sink, weak water pressure and a shower that didn't have a […] tub and was so small who you moved you touched the tile walls My brother also stayed there at the same time, and we were promised a room next to him. This wasn't the case, their room was 6 floors below ours. -- they also had a delux room, the air conditioner didn't work and the maintenance said they fixed it, but they didn't. -- also very weak water pressure When the hotel learned we were there to get married, they upgraded us to a 1 room suite which was very nice of them. The suite was fine, and if I did stay at this hotel again, I'd only stay in the suite because the other room wasn't big enough. -- the suite had 2 restrooms - one restroom didn't have hot water, the other had weak water pressure. -- the phone was broken in the room so we couldn't receive calls The staff was very very nice during our stay, however next time I visit, I'll stay at another hotel.
