Stayed here on our honeymoon, couldn't have asked for a better place for the money. The staff was extremely helpful with speedy check in/out. Concierge staff was on their A game the entire time. Room was cleaned daily and very comfortable. The bar was nice but a bit expensive ( but that's London). Vauxhall tube station is only a five minute walk which isn't bad at all. There is a grocery store next door that has about everything you need. Was a great stay.

Just what we expected. everything was good except the wash basin drain was full of hair and drained poorly. surprised that the maid service didn't report it
Location.
The Ritz London hotel in London, England is located near the upscale Knightsbridge area, Hyde Park, Hyde Park Corner, and 500 yards from Buckingham Palace. London Heathrow Airport is 45 kilometers away.
Hotel Features.
The Ritz London was designed to resemble a Parisian block of flats. The lobby features high ceilings with glass chandeliers, fluted columns, and a leaded glass ceiling topping the three-story rotunda. The high quality of service includes amenities like complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a multilingual staff, and concierge services.
Tea is served each afternoon in the Palm Court. The Ritz Restaurant, where the Queen held her private Golden Jubilee party in 2002, serves breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, and dinners. The Rivoli Bar is open from late morning to early hours. There is a dress code in the Rivoli Bar, Palm Court, and the Ritz Restaurant. Men are asked to wear a jacket and tie. Jeans are not acceptable in these areas. The hotel offers a fitness center and a 24-hour business center.
Guestrooms.
The seven-story Ritz Hotel's 135 guestrooms are furnished in the Ritz colors of blue, peach, pink, and yellow. The rooms feature crystal chandeliers, wall accents in 24-carat gold leaf, silk-covered headboards, and restored antique furniture. Room amenities include TVs with DVD players, minibars, in-room safes, and private bathrooms. The marble bathrooms feature bathrobes and slippers. Most rooms look over Westminster, Green Park, or Piccadilly.

The Palm Court - Tea at the Ritz is as famous as the hotel itself. Every afternoon the Palm Court fills to capacity as delicate sandwiches, freshly baked scones, pastries, champagne, and a selection of teas and coffee are served beneath a glass ceiling hung with chandeliers. Butter-colored walls, grand marble columns, and a fountain adorned with golden cherubs complete the scene. Although hotel guests can usually be accommodated on short notice, pre-booking is strongly advised.
The Ritz Restaurant - A palatial dining room where the Queen hosted her Golden Jubilee private party in 2002. Ten chandeliers, linked by golden garlands, hang from a mural ceiling, watched over by a gleaming statue of Poseidon. At every table are cherub-stemmed silver bowls of roses, while diners enjoy confit of duck leg with foie gras or roasted monkfish wrapped in pancetta. Two-story glass doors open to a garden terrace for alfresco summer dining in the summer. Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, with live music on weekends.
The Rivoli Bar - This intimate bar is strikingly designed in art deco style, with Venetian-glass ceiling pendants, and polished camphor-wood columns inset with Lalique panels. Guests relax in leopard-print armchairs or at the marble-topped bar to order from a menu of savory light dishes and cocktails. Open from late morning until early hours.

The hotel was beautiful. We were concerned that it would be a little too formal. But while it was quite elegant, we didn't feel like we had to be dressed up every time we went out. The staff were warm, funny and also quite helpful. All in all a wonderful visit !!!

Great hotel with the exception of being very pertinence and stay away from the PRAWN SALAD.... We both had the salad and both were sick the next day and it being the only thing we both ate the same within the last 24 plus hours prior to being sick. "Ritz Needs Help"
The air conditioning n-take air vents in the hotel room and bath room were filthy. I reported this condition and The Ritz was silent. On the other hand, the hotel was very quiet in spite of heavy traffic and construction taking place right outside of the window. View was poor because of the construction yard. "Excellent"
This is a top class hotel set in one of the best areas of London. Our room was excellent, service was excellent and the Afternoon Tea was all it should be. Don't forget the Hotel's dress policy however - you cannot even visit the bar unless you wear a jacket and tie.
"The ultimate in service and luxury"
I had high expectations for this hotel, and I was not disappointed. My daughter and I treated ourselves to one night at the Ritz on our way to Paris. It is everything you would expect from a luxury hotel.

"Worst 5 star in London"
Really bad... Feels like Disneyland, hordes of tourist (not staying at the hotel) dressing up to visit the place and have afternoon tea. They charge extra for everything. We stayed in a junior suite and they charged extra for EVERYRHING! internet, wifi, extra outlets, etc... When you pay a lot for a nice room you expect to not be bothered with small […] costs at every turn. And the staff is greedy and try as much as they can to get tips, and it leaves you with a cheap feeling. They wouldn't let my business partners come to my room either without their passports, an carrying those around all day isn't really something they (nor I) are used to. The area with Mayfair and all is great, but for sure I'll not stay at the Ritz anymore. There's a lot of great hotels in that area where they appreciate customers. Read more

Great location ,wonderful atmosphere and very friendly professional staff. The one irritant was the phone. Foolishly used hotel phone for a local call instead of my mobile ,cost 11 pounds for local call of one minute ,eight secs and 14 pounds for 3 mins. 44 secs. BE aware!

Είναι πολύ καλό ξενοδοχείο, αλλά λίγο ακριβό. Το check-in και check-out θα μπορούσε να είναι πιο απλό και πιο γήγορο (λίγες θέσεις counters και πολλά δωμάτια).

Top-Lage, als Urlauber hatte ich keinen Anzug dabei und konnte somit nicht die Bar, Tea-room und Restaurant nicht benutzen. Man wollte mir sogar in der völlig unbesetzten Bar Krawatte leihen. Nur am ersten Tag gabs Blumen und Obst im Zimmer, danach nicht mehr. Wasser auf dem Zimmer kostet Geld. Sehr laute Strasse zum Picadilly hin.

非常に格式が高く、現在でも伝統を重んじる素晴らしいホテルだと思います。外観も古いなりに赴きがあり、内装はエントランスはもちろんのことエレベーターに至るまで高級感と清潔感に満ち溢れてました。部屋も細部までいきとどいてました。 こちらに宿泊する度に思うのですが、日本のホテルのような誰でもどんな格好でも出入り出来るというホテルでは決してなく、たまにはオシャレをして泊まりに来るという良い緊張感が味わえる場所です。 また、来客があったのでアフタヌーンティーをしに行ったところ、スーツではありましたが、ついネクタイをせずにいたところ、「部屋まで戻ってタイを取って来るなら席を用意しておきます。」と言われました。御尤もと納得しました。 束の間の贅沢の場として、今後も利用したいと思う。
