Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center - Paris

My daughter and I had a girls week in Paris. Room was very comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Close to metro stop. A little out of the way, but metro is so efficient and reliable, can reach most Paris destinations in 10, 15 minutes. Much faster than taxi. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is amazing. The staff was very accommodating and the Jr. Suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The area around the hotel is not bustling like the Left Bank or other parts of Paris, but the boulevards are lined with trees and very nice to walk along as you search for the right café to stop into for a cup or a bite.

This was a typically corporate hotel that covers the basics thoroughly and adequately. The rooms were acceptable but on the small side, with a bathroom closet that was comically small and hard to get in and out of. The hotel also charges twenty eur. per day for internet, which just felt like gouging. The staff was nice and the in-house restaurant is […] beautiful if predictably pricey. It is at least two miles from the historic districts of Paris, so tourists should be prepared to take the train/taxis to see the main sites. My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel. It is a well maintained property and very clean. The air conditoning was excellent in the room. This is a feature I was looking for, as we were traveling in the summer time and after researching properties found many Paris properties have issues with their air conditioning. […] Rest assured that the air conditioning is excellent here. The room was very comfortable. We had a standard room with two beds. I would stay at this property again, as it is across the street from a metro station and very convenient to the Paris Catacombs which we enjoyed exploring. We visited Paris Disneyland as well and it was so easy to get there via Metro and RER A. The staff was very friendly and helpful as this was our first visit to Paris. The entire staff speaks fluent Engish and can provide excellent suggestions and directions to all of the city of lights attractions! They allowed us a 2 pm check out time as we went to the late show at Moulin Rouge, and our Eurostar Train back to London was later in the day. Extremely comfortable hotel. A little off the beaten track but still handy for sightseeing. Bus tour groups were handled quickly and efficiently so there wasn't any inconvenience for the rest of us. Surrounding neighborhood is not very touristy which made it nice to walk around.

The Paris Marriott Rive Gauch Hotel was the choice of our tour group, and we decided to stay another day to visit more sights of Paris. The choice was a good one! We found the concierge very helpful. Easy tickets into the Louvre, directions for the Metro, and other needs were promptly expedited. We walked the two blocks to the Metro, and found the neighborhood […] was not bad, but definitely not a touristy or upscale area of Paris. The room was comfortable, the food was good at the hotel. We were so happy with the location, comfortable bed, clean room and a quality breakfast. However, we ended our stay with unhappiness. Since we had to leave the hotel early in the morning (before the restaurant opens) on the last day, we were told that we could order a breakfast box to go. We did with an English speaking restaurant staff member and asked […] to have our breakfast box ready by 4:45 am. She told us that it would not be a problem and it would be left at the receptionist desk. When we were ready to leave at 4:45am on the day of departure, the receptionist told us that there was no breakfast box left for us by restaurant staff. After his call to restaurant, he was told it would be ready in 30 seconds. We waited until 4:55 am and we decided to leave as the taxi driver was waiting and the meter was running. I'm not quite sure how or why an "Executive Room" would ever be equipped with 2 twin beds. Everything else about the stay was fine, however, the per-night parking fee was a bit excessive.

We booked a junior suite and it was roomy enough for a family of four. I loved that we had two separate bathrooms which definitely helped get us out the door faster in the morning. Breakfast came with the room as well as access to the executive lounge which included the internet. We really loved that. Our London hotel was in the city which was very loud but this area is more residential which made it much quieter at night, and easier to relax. We had a beautiful view and the staff was very helpful. The only shortcoming was the maid service which was great at the beginning of the week and hit or miss at the end of the week. Calls made to address the situation were quickly addressed. I would easily recommend this hotel. I usually stay at a Right Bank boutique hotel, but it was booked. This was a last minute shot in the dark and is a real gem. For 2/3's the price of my Right Bank hotel, I got a huge AIR CONDITIONED room with large bathroom and "American" quality amenities: The concierge sent us to local places to eat that were not touristy This hotel is American-friendly. […] . Paris is lovely and for a 10 euro cab ride, you can be anywhere and see the loveliest city in the world on the way to your destination. Skip the Metro -- too nasty. Far away from city center, small bedroom with unpleasant Toilet separated from bathroom into an horrible little room. The "consergery" service is under average, they don't have ideas of what is going on Paris. We were sent to a Tour in the modern Opera House; the problem was that the "OPERA" is closed until September. We wasted a lot of our valuable […] Paris time. The hotel is very nice, clean, with well- appointed comfortable rooms. The location itself is a bit boring, but safe and pleasant and the Glacier metro is 2 minutes, so that the distance from the center is barely noticeable. I stayed in the hotel for a conference and was very happy with it. Would certainly return to it next time in Paris.

The rooms are small, a bit worn out, and not well kept. Cleaning is not working. Waste baskets are not emptied, toiletries are not replenished, etc etc. We chose an executive room for our weekend stay but was not informed that there is no, absolutely no service during weekends. Going there you see a small assortment of soft drinks, nothing else. It […] was a total waste of money to use this facility.
