There was at least a 1.5ft of black mold all overthe bath ceiling! Also a little bit of mold in our room. The front desk clerk seem to not understand of why this was a problem! The staff was willing to move us the next day.

Enjoyed our stay/first time in Tuscany. Had very nice view from the street. We slept well in our clean room. Was supposed to have Wi-fi access in room according to booking/hotel staff but was only able to access wi-fi in the waiting/reception area and signal is lost in our room. Was still a great value and close to the train station/sights.

The room was mediocre and the staff were only slightly better. Breakfast was typical to Italy - no hot breakfast, only pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juice (not fresh, nor 100% real), and deli meats. The location is the only allure, given the price.

During our 3 night stay, we changed rooms 3 times. All rooms had a strong odor as if the windows were not opened in years. Everything smelled awful that I couldn't even hang up my chlothes in the closet. Furniture were extremly old and everthing appeared to be dirty. Lobby has a stale, moldy odor. Rooms are extremely small and have the same moldy smell. Bathrooms. Where shall I begin? Shower stall barely gives enough room to turn around and one can see mold around the base. To get in the shower one has to step over the bidet. I only wish I was a trained acrobat. We could have done a little better for the same price. Although many older Europeon hotels are small and a little worn, this one had more than a few issues. The shower was smaller than anything we'd seen and the plastic closure had no choice to hold a little mold. The paper was peeling and duct tape was holding a few things together. YUCK! Hotel is well located - only a 5 minute walk to the train/bus station which was our primary reason for booking it in the first place because we took day trips by train out of Florence. But location to the train & breakfast were it's only redeeming qualities. The lobby was dimlylighted even at night...plaster peeling from the walls, in poor repair […] all around. It was not possible to connect to the internet from our room so we had to use the lobby. The reception staff were pleasant enough but not particularly welcoming or engaging. Our room was large - probably because we were a party of 3 (for which we paid dearly!!) and it was the only place we stayed for 10 days where I felt uncomfortable walking on the carpet in bare feet... it looked & felt shabby & dirty. The bathroom was especially unclean & in disrepair - the last renovation job (am guessing 25 years ago) was a disaster. But breakfast was good - if that saves it for you. Our first room was the worst one I've ever seen. The decor was clashing floral print, the carpeted floor was disgusting and the noise was loud. Our shower backed up as well. When in a historic European city you expect the hotels to be small and the buildings to be old. This place was the most disgusting hotel that I have ever been in. The first room that we were sent to had not even been cleaned. There was no view outside of the room beyond pipes, walls, and a dirtyy rooftop. The carpet appeared to be about 40 years old and the walls were missing pieces. There was not a true shower, only folding panels to pull out from the wall that were covered in mold. There are no words to describe how disgusting this place truly was. We immediately left to look for another hotel. When we returned for our luggage the staff was rude when we told them that we would be leaving. This hotel is perfectly located between The Duomo and train station. It was absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was good. They had a lift and luggage storage. I'd certainly stay here again and will recommend it. The hot cocoa in the vending machine was the best vending machine chocolate I ever had! They have a great lobby for relaxing.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The room smelled very musty, the bathtub actually had black in the caulking and the wallpaper around the window had what appeared to be black mold. Things did not appear clean in general.

The hotel location couldn't have been more convenient. It is located very near the train station. (so I would recommend if you are going by train) The Hotel decor is a bit dated but appealed to me. I would say loads of character. It reminded me of a hotel from the 40s or 50s. The room was air-conditioned which is a must in the Italian summertime!
