Nice hotel next to Kyoto train station
This is a nice hotel, near the train station which is what we needed. It is a busy hotel so not super personal service but for what it was it was great. The room was nice and clean however the bed was very hard.

Kyoto convenience
The hotel was a little run down but clean. Very convenient as it's across from the station, but quiet. Cool vending machines for everything from water, tea, hot coffee & entrees. Service was excellent - I noticed they had "ice pillows" on the list of items you could request such as irons, etc. After a long day of seeing the temples, gardens & shrines I called housekeeping and asked for one. Within 5 minutes there was an attendant at my door with an awesome gel icepack with I completely enjoyed!

4 nights in Kyoto
Travelled with a friend to Kyoto for 4 nights. The hotel is located on the south side of Kyoto Station, which is quieter, but only means that you'll have to fight your way through the station on a daily basis to get anywhere. The property itself was great and the w/c accessible room had several grab bars throughout the bathroom & plenty of space to move around. I would recommend this hotel to anybody interested in staying close to the main station, providing they don't mind cutting through the station and wading through a sea of people to get anywhere noteworthy (i.e. trains, buses, sightseeing, etc.).
