This is a real gem. Quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of many of the sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The furnishings in the lobby, restaurant and the rooms give the hotel a nice family feeling. Would stay there again. Can be a little hard to find.

Hard to believe that there's a better place to stay if you want to get a real "feel" for Bruges. It's an easy 2 km drive to the rail station where you can park all day for 3,5 Euros and get a free bus to the middle of town. Our room was superb, with every convenience, and the owner was pleased to honor a couple of special requests. The breakfast was very special with fresh bread and pastries, meats, cheese, fruit, choice of juices, smoked salmon, and more. This must be the best deal for a travelling couple and the price includes WIFI, parking, and the grand breakfast.

Located in Bruges (Bruges Center), NH Brugge Hotel is close to Concert Hall, Church of Our Lady, and Groenigemuseum. Also nearby are Minnewater and Bruges Belfry.

"The hotel staff was very accomodating..."
The breakfast was good and the location was wonderful. It was a short walk from the train station and was not difficult even dragging some luggage. They had free internet in the hotel lobby, and the entire hotel satff was very accomodating, with directions, requests, and tips. A great choice for a beautiful city of Brugge.

We stayed during the low-travel season at the end of January. We got a fantastic rate that included a pretty good continental breakfast. Comfy beds, very friendly and accommodating staff, and within walking distance to on of the bet bars I've ever been to - Poatersgat. "No pool, no sheets, no fun!"
I booked NH Hotel Brugge partly because of the pool, which was shown on Hotels.com and TripAdvisor. Well, they closed the pool a few months ago, so forget about that. Their home page is updated, but these other sites are not. Like other reviewers mention, the rooms are rather shabby (see my picture of the mini-bar buerau), and the hallways give off […] kind of a 'The Shining' vibe, but I don't mind too much about that. However, our double room actually had 2 single beds on wheels pushed together -- hardly ideal for a romantic weekend with my partner! Further, the beds each had separate, thin duvets with no top sheets, so it was doubly cold while snuggling was made so difficult. Perhaps the best thing about this hotel was the ample breakfast buffet (open until 1130am on the weekends), and its proximity (10 mins walk) from the train station. For the price point, it was okay, but if I had it to do over again, I'd spend a bit more for a better place. Read more
"Rooms looked tired."
Hotel has a very convenient location in one of the major town squares. It's walking distance to the train station and all major attractions. The guest rooms need updating as the furniture was worn out. My room was also not properly cleaned ahead of time. I would try a different hotel next time.

The desk manager at the hotel went the extra mile to saitisfy our requests in a very helpful manner. We were married in Brugge and several members of our party stayed the week with NH Brugge and were quite happy with the hotel and service. Thank you for the recommendation!
"Loved it"
Very friendly staff, room was nice and big and had a big bathtub, always a plus. It's located at a walkable 10/15 min from the train station, and just across the street from an area of nice restaurant and stores, as well as a tourist information point. And a very nice walk down to all the main attraction sites. In addition, it was very nice to go back […] to a quick swim at the pool after a long day of sightseeing, plus there was a cute little garden to chill out afterwards. The location is perfect. It is at a walking distance from the main train station and the city center. The hotel is in a well condition and the staff was very helpful. My review is based on a one night stay.

Clean, and noticed a pleasant fragrance when entering the lobby. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean, comfortable including a well designed bathroom. The King bed did comprise 2 single mattresses moved together, but was pretty comfortable. The steam room which is advertised as available is not operational and from what I am […] told will never be. The exercise facility was adequate. The bar was very comfortable with a great bartender, but only 3 Belgium beers on tap. Did not eat at the restaurant but the menu looked impressive and not that much more expensive than other restaurants in town. A bit of a walk to the Market place, but near the train station. "Grand Old Hotel in Ceter of Brugge"
A great opld hotel with really nice larger rooms and fully equipped bathrooms. Loved the place. No parking however and closest parking is underground and requires some minipulation and transportatation fo luggage. The resturant was great for breakfast and even dinner was terrific. the room size is enormous compared to other european hotels. we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. the indoor pool was great. the bed was comfortable. located next to lots of restaurants and main shopping street. love this hotel and would definitely go back again.

I was bowled over when I saw the size of my "single" room -- very large, and with a king-size bed, the first I have seen in Europe. The location was within walking distance of the rail station and major sights, and located just off the 't Zand square, which is surrounded by restaurants. Surprisingly, the hotel pool is larger than it looks on the website […] (not usually the case). I had a very pleasant end-of-the day swim, as the pool is open until 10. I didn't use the other fitness facilities, but they looked well-maintained. Even with all the local restaurants, be sure to have at least one meal at the NH Brugge -- food quality is first-rate! "Great hotel, great location"
Rooms are surprisingly large, by european standards, and Hotel is pretty full-service. Nice Pool and gym, and the hotel was very conveniently located between the historic Old City and the train station. Quiet neighborhood, and an easy walk to everything. Loved it.

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, comfortable, close to sights, and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the service in the bar area was excellent. The price was good and we were so pleased with our stay. 4 star quality and amenities all the way! The only single complaint we had the entire time was that we had ordered […] takeout from a restaurant one night and upon returning to the hotel asked the front desk agent how we could arrange for two plates and forks. He did not want to help us and seemed skeptical that room service or the restaurant would provide anything of the sort, as if it was a ridiculous request. We ended up resolving it ourselves but in the long run it did not negatively affect our stay- we just have to realize that European hotel service is quite different from service in the US! "NH Brugge was even better than I expected!"
We loved everything about the NH Brugge, and we would definitely stay there again. The rooms were spacious and modern. The breakfast buffet was really fantastic... huge variety and very high quality... I must also mention that they made the most delicious scrambled eggs that I have ever eaten! I love to cook and am a food network fan... so if the chef […] there is reading this please let us know your secret to those eggs! "Great location"
We loved the hotel's location and thought that our room was great. However,we were not pleased with the manager's reaction to our need to cancel our second evening. We had the option to cancel without penalty but he did not make that an easy exercise. . Hotel service could be improved.

"Good hotel in Bruges, walking distance from train"
Good location 5 mins from the busy areas of Bruges, very friendly staff and a great bar tender who can tell you all you need to know about where to go.
"Friendly, clean and comfortable"
We stayed at this hotel for a weekend stay. The room was a deluxe weekend extender so we had two King sized beds for just the two of us. The bed was very very comfortable with Egyptian cotton :-) Breakfast was fine and location great, only 10 min walk to the market and square.

"NH Brugge Hotel - great location"
We really enjoyed staying at NH Brugge. The location is fantastic - just a quick walk across the square and you're right in the heart of down town. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were helpful and welcoming and everything ran like clockwork. Even a mix up with the terms of our booking was resolved (in our favour) quiclkly and with no fuss. […] We walked from the train station to the hotel and we found the directions provided to be pretty confusing. We got there in the end but I suspect we walked the long way! "Excellent hotel! All around great experience"
The hotel was easy to locate, in a great location, had great customer service, lots of amenities throughout the hotel, and was very affordable. The rooms are not cramped and the styles vary by floor (showers, layout, and colors of the rooms were different on the 4th floor than the 1st floor). The location is great because it is right next to the concert […] hall, main parking garages, and one of the large squares. The front desk happily assisted my group of friends by spending 30 minutes calling over 20 restauarants to find a good place that could accomodate our large group. Most importantly, the price per night was outstanding for the location and free breakfast. I will stay here again the next time I visit. Read more

"Great Hotel - NH Brugge"
Yes, a lovely hotel & excellent location to visit Brugges. Room was very clean and very spacious. Reception were very helpful and provided us with a map of Brugges upon arrival. Everything in the room was replenished daily. Only small disappointment was the lack of pool, even though the hotel was advertised as having one. It has apparently been converted […] in to a conference room. This certainly did not spoil our stay. Read more

Bruges was a beautiful city and this hotel was in a very convenient location close to the train station and within walking distance to everything else. We were given a room upgrade on arrival, we had dinner in the restaurant which was superb, and they had a pillow menu. Would have been good if free wifi was available in rooms rather than just the lobby […] as 12 euro for 24 hours seems excessive. TV's a little outdated. Not deal breakers though. Would recommend visiting the Brugge Zot brewery - best beer I've ever tasted. Read more

"Comfortable base for a short stay in Bruges"
The NH Brugge is perfectly located for access to the town and rail station. The decor is a little dated, but the enormous, comfortable bed, clean and spacious room and friendly, knowledgeable staff more than make up for it!

We were very please with this Hotel and would have no reservation about staying there again. We would, however, comment about the restaurant service in the evening. It was very slow,There were very few people in the restaurant although, at breakfast, it was full.
"Over Priced Frosty Stay"
We chose the NH Brugge Hotel as we had stayed with NH in other cities and always had a fantastic stay. Upon arrival the hotel looked very quaint, what you would expect from a traditional Brugge property. The entrance lobby was as charming but that to me was where it ends. Upon check in we noted a sign mentioning that the pool and associated saunas […] were now closed when I pointed out that we had booked the hotel for its leisure facilities the lady on reception said management had decided to make it into a business centre. I said surely I should have been notified and I was offered a free drink. We spoke to management who just screamed at me now claiming it was for health and safety reasons. Close to tears at being shouted at we went to our room. The first room we were allocated stunk of smoke, the second was thick with dust. I asked for my room to be cleaned properly and the dust was removed. Beds were comfortable but I had booked a double but received a twin. The furniture although of good quality was dated and scuffed and the bathroom needed modernisation. The bar was pricey although very charming and the barman was the friendliest of the staff. Breakfast although fresh was average very expensive, I would question whether it was good value. The majority of staff were frosty, I didn’t feel welcome in this hotel and this together with no promised leisure facilities and the dirty and dusty twin room I would say the NH Brugge Hotel did its best to spoil my trip. Not recommended – you’ll find a much nicer, welcoming hotel for the price. Read more

Location is very good - close to the main car park for the area and lots of restaurants, shops are all within a short distance, including the market. Staff were all helpful and friendly. We didn't eat at the restuarant however the bar was very welcoming and cosy.

It was raining one evening so the staff at the reception organised a taxi for us to the main square and also provided us with umbrellas for the nyt. "nh - good, if a little dated"
really nice staff - excellent service. nice, big room although it was a bit 1990s in decor. i also had a non-smoking room that smelt of smoke when we arrived, and there were no spare rooms available to change to. apart from that it was 5/5...great location - around the corner from bars and tearooms, and 10mins walk from the belfry.
Excellent hotel, good location, near centre of Bruges but quiet. Hotel staff very helpful, we eat in the hotel on our last night and the steak was way below standard, everything else was good.
