Such a lovely 3 night stay. Comfortable lovely room. We had the junior suite and loved it. So peaceful and quiet, lovely breakfast, not at all hectic like some hotels we've stayed at. Neighborhood good, lots of lovely restaurants right around the hotel. Easy walk to the train station. Would totally stay here again. Great hotel, very very nice.

The perfet hotel for family, coulple. I ve stayed in the executive twin room with mydad and mom. The extra bed was already set for the third person when checked in. Great service, clean room, free gym and pool. Good location. I ll come backhere for sure!

Staffs are courteous & service is excellent. Prices for food & services are pricey in comparison to local standards. E.g. 24 oz steak is priced at almost US Two-Hundred Dollars.

Sometimes they make errors or fall short, but I forgive the errors inasmuch as the overall manner of their group effort is quite extreme. i visited the sherwood on business for 5 days in june 2012. i travel often to asia - and taipei in particular. i have previously stayed at the "W" on multiple occasions plus other hotels. the sherwood is top notch for room condition, employee service, and overall facility status. overall, i rate the hotel in the top tier because of these core items […] - they are by far the most important things to me. in regards to things that could be improved but were still very good - 1) gym- lacks some equipment that i like to use including lat pull down, etc- so adequate but not stellar (4/5) 2) breakfast buffet- variety and quality was just short of a top tier -but still very good (4/5). 3) location - again, very good - but is not located near the same variety and quality of attractions that are present in hotels around tapei 101, for instance (4/5). so, with minor issues only to detract, i would definitely stay at the sherwood again - and greatly enjoyed my stay. Sherwood had good reputation as being one of the best hotels in Taipei. I stayed there before, and probably will stay there again, though not on the top of my Taipei hotel list. Most of the data I need are stored in the Cloud, without reasonable Internet connection speed, I could not survive on the road. All small items in the room must be in working conditions. The hair drier failed on me twice. I had to leave for my appointment with "wet" hair on the first day. The same problem persisted on the 2nd day. This got me really upset. Good hotels paying attention to details. Sherwood staff failed to do so. Also I felt the room including floor, wall, even the desk can use some upgrade to make Sherwood a real 5 star hotel. Friendly, efficient service. Helpful concierge. Well appointed room, comfortable bed and bedding. Walkable to MRT and many restaurants. I had a delicious roast duck and rice meal in the hotel bar restaurant which was reasonably priced.

Very comfortable hotel, accomodations and staff first rate. I arrived to the hotel from Texas, USA needing emergency dental care, concierge arranged dental appointment that morning to satisfy my need. I had to prepare a presentation at the Business Center.... staff was courteous, helpful, and fast!

Great Hotel. We booked one king bedroom and one two-double bedroom. The rooms are unexpectly huge and very clean. The breakfast is great too. It is a 5 minites walking distance to the subway station.

A 5-star hotel, but without offering a free or paid Wi-Fi in the lobby, is the first regret! Also, the staff needs customer service training on the 1st floor's Cafe - they are not friendly and service was too slow. (And tried to chase afternoon tea/coffee customers away while setting up tables for dinner.) Overall, we like the hotel if we would overlook […] the above in-adequacy and incident. BTW - Speaking with the newly arrived General Manager in this location about above conditions, but without his or his staff's positive follow-up with us and NO further action either - is another "miss opportunity" for a good customer service. I really like that they have Bvlgari toiletries and it's always nice to have free internet. the bathroom was quit big and had a chair with a white cloth cover you can sit on. I was given a coupon for a free drink at the lounge and also one free iron for a shirt. I thought it was nice, but strange to offer free ironing, until I noticed there's no ironing board or iron in the room. I didn't get much chance to explore the area around the hotel, but it seems there are a bunch of small restaurants in the little alleyways in the buildings across the street, and since it's a commercial area, there were a lot of people out during lunch time. The walk to the metro was not far, about 5 minutes or so, but make sure to cross the big street or else you will have to double back because the entrance is on the other side. I have been to Taipei several times and have stayed at several different hotels. I can't find anything bad to say about the Sherwood. Great location with several new restraunts in the area. One of the finest breakfast buffets I have seen. The in room internet works very well. They have Boddington Ale on tap in the hotel bar, what else can I say.

Conveniently located, close to MRT, friendly and flexible staff. The sound-proofing is a little weak as I can hear the traffic and next door neighbours sometimes. They always remember the little things that I request from previous visits, so a very nice touch. This would be one of my most frequented hotels when visiting Taipei.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Sherwood. By far, one of the best hotels in Taipei, having previously stayed at most of the 4/5-star hotels in Taipei City proper. I put the Sherwood at the top of my list for convenience, convenience and large executive-type rooms. A must stay for the Taipei business traveler!

Well appointed and spacious room. Close to rapid transit station making traveling around Taipei quite easy. However, a big minus for the city of Taipei is transportation to and from the airport requires changing bus and taxi taking more than an hour.

We arrived the hotel at 15:15 and we waited for over half hours for check in, the staff in reception promised the rooms would be ready by 10 mins, and another 10 mins and another 10 mins. The efficiency of staff could not catch up with the volume of customers in holiday. Also, the altitude of some staffs in the reception (check in) were not up to 5-stars […] standard. Besides, breakfast buffet are not up to 5 star hotels, which is disappointed as well. Variety of food is less than normal.
