This was my first time in Lima with business and leisure purposes. The staff at the Vila Santa hotel helped to make it a successful and pleasent stay at a fair price. Alba and Yessenia at the front desk and the manager Jessica, they went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure that we were comfortable. They treated us as if we were regular customers. They were eager to help with advice, directions, and dining recommendations. The customer service at this hotel is outstanding!

After hiking Machu Picchu for days it was nice to just kick back at this hotel and relax. Good breakfast selection, pool and sauna was just what we needed. It's also in a quiet neighborhood and short taxi ride to center and to Miraflores.

The hotel was located in a nice area of Miraflores with convenient access to everything, however, the room was tiny and needs immediate updating of furinishings. The Hotel Staff was very polite and when something was asked of them they said they would take care of it immediately, however, nothing was done and you could find them standing on the street […] smoking cigarettes. Our room was on the 8th floor and the hallway stunk with cigarrettes even though it was supposed to be a non smoking hotel. There was also a second "El Condado" a few buildings down the street which seemed much nicer and newer. We asked what the difference was and no one could give us an answer. Look for something else. Staff was not service oriented and often offered services that were too expensive. For example they told us that the cab ride to Plaza Mayor should cost around 25 soles and offered us a hotel cab...trying to hassle us into renting it for 10 USD an hour to follow us along the whole day long. We had to insist firmly that we do not need such service. On […] our way back the same ride (opossite direction) from Plaza Mayor to Hotel costed 10 soles in a regular city cab. Also, during our stay at the hotel there were works going on for a few days with costant hammering and lound noise whole day long starting from 8:30 in the morning. We stayed in room 1002 and the mattress was horrendous. We could NOT sleep on it at all. It sank and made your back hurt so bad. We had to change hotels because of this. Also, it was very noisy. We had to buy earplugs due to the noise. The location was really good, walking distance to everything. The neighborhood was very nice and safe.

Structure is old and carpet needs replacement. However, stay at 2BR or two adjacent rooms so it was spacious. Breakfast includes juices, coffee, breads, jam, cheese and fruits. In front of hotel you find nice supermarket with lots of fresh produce. Walking distance to main commercial streets. Personnel nice and accomodating.
