    The AC barely worked. The fridge wouldn't get cold. The bathroom smelled like mold and when i went for my free continental breakfast i was given 2 pieces of toast, orange juice and coffee. Will never go back again. Way overpriced for what it was.

    The hotel was in a nice location for our group. We wanted to stay where the hotel could shuttle us free to the port of Miami so that was a consideration when booking. The restaurant served a nice breakfast and had on site beverage machines if needed. A convenience store was not far away; we walked to it. The restaurants and bars on "Miracle Mile" was […] an added bonus. It was a taxi ride about 7 minutes away. All in all it was for one night, but I would not consider staying more than one night as the rooms were so outdated and needed work done. The building we stayed in was not connected to the main hotel. We had to walk across a street with luggage and go up steps since the elevator didn't work.     We were supposed to get a free continental breakfast as Expedia customers, and this is what it consisted of: two pieces of white toast. I am not kidding. I am diabetic and am therefore restricted from eating white bread, so I had nothing to eat for breakfast. My daughter also doesn't eat white bread and therefore didn't get to eat breakfast either. […] This is e first time we have had to go without breakfast while staying at a hotel. (BTW, they have a restaurant, but it's expensive, and I was disgusted enough that I didn't want to spend a nickel more than required at that place). Also, the elevator broke. In fact, it was the same hotel that all of the cruise staff stays at when they are about to transition off of a ship or just returning from a vacation themselves.     2 staff of their hotel (woman) 1 lady from the bar (black skin) and 1 lady (white skin) they are spanish look like owner because she act looks like the boss ... they are very rude to me when the last day check out, i ordered coffee from the bar and the white lady talked spanish said to me "NO" and she told me I am not allowed to ordered from the bar […] also very rude and yelled at me she very argue and so nasty to me at that time.     Didn't like driver, no help with luggage into the hotel. No water pressure in shower and toilet. No airconditioning in elevator or the hallways. They had both doors open on 2nd floor with ceiling fans going and very high humidity. In room we came in to no air even on and were told to wait for a better room and to come back later for it. The room looked […] clean but the airconditioning vents were not. We turned on the air and it took an hour to cool the room a little. I cleaned the vents out myself and they were filthy. I don't believe they have a good maintenance crew. The shower knob only turns a 1/4 of the way with very low pressure. Very little warm water came out. The toilet took 4 flushes to get paper down. I believe they are trying to keep costs down but they shouldn't do it at customers expense. They offer free shuttle but to go to the airport in the AM you can only go every hour on the hour so we were told to be in lobby by 5AM when our flight wasn't until 7:45AM. It is only a 10 minute drive to the airport. After our check in we had to wait over an hour and a half. I didn't want to leave until 5:30 or 5:45AM. I don't understand if they have a driver, why can't he go back and forth instead for piling everyone in one vehicle. They aren't for the customer at this hotel and it is sad because it has potential. They should get Anthony from Hotel Impossible to come out and give them an updo. They need HELP!!! Read more

    Even though the hotel was clean and inhabitable and the maids who cleaned the rooms were nice, the rest of the hotel staff and the service was awful. We were trying to get the hotel shuttle from the Airport and we called to tell them to expect to pick us up with the 3PM shuttle. We walked out the door of the Airport to wait at 2:45PM to see the shuttle […] drive by and not stop no matter how hard we tried to get his attention. He finally stopped at the last place in the terminal, but drove off right before we reached him. We called the hotel to ask them to tell the driver to come around again. We wait another 15 minutes and he comes around. He stops at a earlier section of the terminal and we wait where we are because we knew he stopped there last time. He ended up filling up the bus so once again, we were not picked up. Another 30 minutes later, he FINALLY comes around again and we get on. Rather than an apology, he looks at us and says "What was wrong with your flight?" as if it was our problem. The front desk clerks were no better, as we asked them to call us a taxi -- we wait 15 minutes in the lobby (where they can see us waiting and make fun of us in Spanish thinking we did not understand) before we ask what the status of the taxi is (which they said would be 5 minutes).     I will never stay here again. I made my reservation weeks in advance. I called and confirmed two rooms next to each other, preferably connecting, with balconies. This was for new year's eve so I requested a late checkout, which I was assured would be no problem. I called the day before to ensure that everything would be as planned and the staff told […] me. It was. Upon arrival we learn that the hotel had stuck my friends in a room with no balcony, nowhere near the other room. So I tell them we want two rooms near each other with balconies like I was told we'd have. The staff seemed really annoyed, as if I was just springing this on them and I was making their life so difficult. We finally got two rooms across the hall and down always from each other but we could deal with it. No big deal. Of course the elevator was out of order, something they might have told us as we loaded two luggage carts in the lobby. Still not too upset at this point...figure there was some miscommunication among the unpleasant staff. I remind them about my late checkout request and they tell me no problem. I told them that I was reminding them at checking like I was told to do over the phone. They tell me to remind them in he morning. What? I'm going to be sleeping late, hence the late checkout on new year's day. Write it down! Incompetence is annoying but purposefully not taking requests seriously while telling guests otherwise is just wrong. They were very different on the phone before I booked the rooms and once we arrived. Of course the rooms were about what I expected after dealing with the staff. Dirty, grungy carpet with very loud ac units. But we had a balcony and friends from out of town so I got over it. We returned to the room after dinner and new year celebrating. Knowing I wouldn't want to get up to remind the front desk of late checkout, I called and told them then.     I certainly would never rebook this hotel - I had tell them t them to replace shower head as it was 110 years old- fix toilet and fix tub so it drained properly. Very bad experience - if I hadn't prepaid I would have changed!!!!

    The hotel is run down but not horribly so. it's in a descent neighborhood with lots of shopping and food within .5 mile. Reasonable pet fee made it a great choice for traveling with our dog.

    It started with us having to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes at the airport for the shuttle. I called the hotel 3 times before it finally picked us up. Seems as though hotel houses Carnival Cruise Line crew and shuttle picks them up first. Carpet in room was filthy, took shower and walked to my bed by the time I got there the bottom of my feet were black. […] The bathtub was dirty and stained. The pool was so dirty, we wouldn't have thought of going into it. The continental breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee or juice (not both) and 2 slices of bread that was barely toasted.     The hotel is older and appears somewhat historic. The neighborhood seems safe and the location is very, very good, especially to the Miracle Mile and the Airport. The price is better than most other hotels in the area and the front desk support staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    I must say that this hotel is in a great location and the appeal is the free shuttle to the airport and to cruise terminal. However, in the end save your pennies and spend the extra money on a better hotel. When we arrived the original room we were in had black oil stains in the carpet and the air conditioner was broken. They moved us to another room […] with only cold water in the sink and dirty sheets. The hotel is dated and filled with Carnival Cruise Staff who were hanging around and not the most savory looking characters. Beware of the free continental breakfast it is burned toast and water downed orange juice. When we reported that the hot water did not not work in the sink they told us we had to deal with it because the plumber would not be there until monday. This is by far my worse hotel experience and I am glad it was only one night! This hotel makes there money from all the Carnival Cruise staff that it serves and could care less about the people who actually pay for it.     There might be nice rooms at this hotel. We did not get one of those. The room was likely a low cost version that houses 6 crew for cruise ships. It was not suitable for a vacation. We did arrive late but should still receive a quality room. Disappointed. The day manager did offer a free breakfast but we had to leave.
