We arrived at the train station after dark, no taxi agreed to take us claiming it is too close. But it wasnt!!! We were dragging luggages!!! Staff was ok, rooms were very nice.

The hotel is very close to the Atocha station and the breakfast is spectacular, however, the rooms are very basis and the beds are very hard! Also, we are a family of five and had to take two rooms and they would not give us adjouning rooms which made things difficult.

It's not a 4 star hotel, as advertised. The more important fact,though, is that the hotel is not localised in a place close to the main tourist attractions. There's no free wi-fi internet. Besides, the prices are very high to get a connection (17 Euros a 24 hour period).

Hotel is located not far from the central train station Atocha but I would not recommend to walk there with your luggage especially when you are tired after your flight and ride. The neighborhood is not very fancy but there are quite a few nice cafes and shopping stores not far from it. The breakfast is pricy but very good. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro (Palos de la frontera - Line 3) or main train station (Atocha). From these stations, SOL (which is the center of Madrid) is only 3 stations away. The room size is small for American standard. Hotel staff is quite friendly. This station is a major train station and is comparable to Grand Central station which can take you all the way to Barcelona, Cordoba etc. There is a nice Chinese restaurant a block away and a number of local cafes if you are into Tapas or alcohol. The best part is Airport Express Bus to Madrid International Airport is costing only 2 Euros for a 40 minute bus ride from Atocha. Read more

Only stayed one night after arriving in Madrid by train, waiting for the flight next day. Excellent hotel. Not the first choice though if you want to visit the city. There are many other choices closer to museums, monuments, etc. we chose it because of it's proximity to the train station.

For the price of this hotel I think that the service is not good at all, the personal at this hotel is not nice at all, the are rude and not very friendly, in the price was include free internet and they had problem with that and ask me to wait until the person who takes care of that comes back from luch aproximately 1 hr, finally after a big complain […] they gived to me a wifi card at my sugestion, they could do taht from the beginning!!!. I generally the location is good but the staff of the hotel is not nie at all. The restaurant around are very expensive and also people are not very friendly you have to wait a long time to be serve at a nearest resaturant. An older hotel that's nice enough and clean. Hard to get to from Atocha rail station, despite proximity. Few nearby restaurants. The hotel's retaurant was very expensive. We stayed in three other hotels during visit to Spain. All were nicer and less expensive.

I really liked this hotel and it's staff. Room was clean and average sized. Front desk staff was very helpful and went beyond their duties to help us retrieve an item lost on the train. This hotel is conveniently located near the Atocha train station. It is also near route M-30 making it easy to get to the hotel and to the airport by car. There is a parking garage on the property. We stayed here for two nights in December 2012 and had excellent service. It is located near to the train station and is about a 5/10 minute walk to the Metro. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment but it was €15 per person

Good and comfortable stay here. The staff were very courteous and showed us directions to wherever we wanted to go and helped us to plan a good day trip to Toledo, the ancient capital of Spain. very close to the Metro station where one can easily travel to Sol which is a fabulous centre for shopping and dining. Hotel was very comfortable although no kettle in room. Most of our hotels has had a kettle. Hotel is on the wrong side of Atocha for tourists, probably better options between Atocha and Plaza Mayor. Having said that this hotel was very quiet and convenient for Atocha for excursion to Toledo.

Really good base near Atocha; rather dull but not over-long walk to the art galleries. Very good value for money. Pleasant, helpful staff. Our only reservation was the lack of a comfortable chair in the room - and lights not really good for reading. The en suite was very good and we appreciated having a bath as well as a shower.

The hotel has a central location, although the Atocha station district is not probably the nicest in Madrid. However, I would not classify this hotel as a four star hotel. The beds were horribly hard and we slept really badly because of this, which seriously disturbed our holiday. We're not usually particularly picky with things like this but if you can't get any sleep at all then it gets quite bad... A very large hotel that at the time of our visit was catering for a number of coach parties. We found the hotel to be clean and good value for money and was located close to atocha train station. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold items. It was also refreshing to see that the lobby bar did not charge inflated prices for snacks […] and coffee. Our room was on the first floor at the rear and although clean and comfortable the noise from the central air conditioning unit was irritating and kept us awake at night. The hotel is so-so. But the staff was not that helpful if considering it's a 4 star one. We informed the reception staff and left our luggages in the hotel for overnight. But when we collected them, the other staff sort of blaming us not telling them the luggages are staying overnight. I think this was not the kind of services for a hotel.

Jag åkte till Madrid för att titta på tennis (MAdrid open). För mig var hotellets läge perfekt - nära tunelbanan och tåg/bussstation Atocha Renfe.Det är en bit att gå när man ha bagaget men man gå på en "ramp" när så man behöver inte bära väska på hjul i handen. Det är ca 20 minuter promenad. Det tar 10 minuter med tunelbanan till Sol stationen (Madrid´s […] center).Jag hade dubbelrum som var stor och rent. Det fanns kassafck, fungerande aircondition.. Badrummet var rent med badkaret. Det fanns också räkbladet och tandbörste som present.:-) Sängen var helt ok. Frukosten på hotellet ingick i priset och var utmärkt. tästa gärna Spansk omellet - det är egg med potatis och det är en spansk specialität. De hade också massa goda kakor till frukosten. Jag vet att det är ovanligt för svenska folket att äta nåt sött till frukosten men det vanligt i andra länder. Allt var färskt och gott. Nackdelen var kunskap i Engelska på hotellet. Några receptionister var ganska bra på engelska men tjejen som tog emot mig har inte ansträngd sig als. Jag hade tur att jag pluggade spanska 2 månader innan jag reste dit:-) Rummen är väldigt lyhörda men gäster på hotellet var lugna. Jag brukade gå lägga mig vid 2 tiden så om nån vill gå sova tidigare så vet jag inte hur det är.I övrigt var jag jätte nöjd och kan tänka mig att bo på hotellet igen. Read more

Отель стандартный во всем, кроме одного. При бронировании номеров в этом отеле в качестве спецпредложения были обещаны бесплатные завтраки за весь период проживания. Однако, при отъезде администрация отеля потребовала деньги за завтраки. Пришлось заплатить. Слава богу, что деньги оставались.

Jeg skulle ta et tidlig tog, så det var praktisk å bo på dette hotellet. Det er ca 5-8 minutters gange fra stasjonen. Betjeningen var hyggelig, og rommet var OK. I motsetning til mange andre hoteller, var det parkett på gulvet og ikke teppe, noe som er mer hygienisk. Frokosten som jeg betalte ekstra for var også helt OK.
