The three-story Boscolo Venezia, Autograph Collection was originally an 18th-century French ambassador's residence and then a convent. Two six-foot-tall Murano-glass chandeliers and stained-glass doors decorate the high-ceilinged, marble-floored lobby. A gallery overlooks the lagoon.
Tuscan-red walls and bare beams decorate the Il Giardino Segret Restaurant. International and Venetian dishes are served at tables decorated with silver plates and Murano-glass candleholders. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining on the terrace all day, weather permitting. Murano-glass chalices decorate the American Bar, which serves drinks, snacks, and six whisky varieties from noon until late.
High walls conceal the courtyard garden, and shaded pathways lead to the lagoon. Complete with an arched bridge, fountain, and terrace, the garden retains some of its original landscaped features.
