"Hidden Treasure"
We travel as a family of four with 2 young children. The Bentley provided excellent clean and spacious accommodations, both of which are very important to us.We were delighted at the suite layout with full kitchen. Right in the heart of South Beach yet quiet and secluded. Rooftop pool and sundeck was a pleasant surprise as we walked across the street to the beach and finished our days at the pool just steps away from our room. All the nightlife and restaurants of south beach are a couple blocks away. We used to live in Miami but since moving to California, we have vacationed in Miami almost every year since our departure. We've almost always stayed at different hotels on the beach for each of those stays. We've finally found a place that we will return to year after year for our south beach vacations. The staff was the icing on the cake. So helpful and attentive. I look forward to our next stay.

"Perfect Hotel for a South Beach Vacation"
This hotel was perfect for our South Beach vacation. Location: Located at 5th and Ocean, the Bentley was within walking distance to the action without having any of the drawbacks (noise, crowds, people who can't hold their liquor) Amenities: The hotel itself has a roof top pool which offers a breath taking view of the Atlantic Ocean and South Beach. I recommend getting up early and watching the sun rise. There is also an adequate continental breakfast of pastries, yogurt, cereal, juices. I don't like breakfast food but if you're looking for eggs benedict, there are five places to eat breakfast or any other meal within 500 feet. The best amenity is access to their beach club. It's off of 1st street so it's a 5 minute walk but you get a waitstaff, lounge chairs, and an umbrella. The chairs and umbrella would cost $40 at any freelance renting facility. Room: I booked through Expedia so I wasn't expected one of their penthouses. Our room had it's own balcony looking out towards a courtyard, full sized refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Getting around: I recommend anyone simply going to South Beach skip the rental car and take the 150 bus or a cab. Parking will be a never ending hassle and valet is an added $30 a day. Staff: Their staff was most helpful from the check in to check out. They send text messages to the phone on file regarding important info or events they may be having.

"Nice hotel in good location, close to good restaur"
eventhough it is an older hotel, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. the best is the pool area in roof of the hotel with a fantastic view of the sea. only bad thing is that our stay in the hotel, the rooms are being renovated .. so at 7 in the morning you can hear and feel the hammers and drills of the builders. no good if you feel tired and hagover.

"Needs Work"
Having stayed at the Bentley in south Beach before, my wife and I were excited to get away for our 12th year anniversary. We had great memories of the Bentley Hotel from 3 years ago when we stayed there. Unfortunately, this time was different. The Hotel is run down and some construction was going on as well. It looked like there were new owners touring the property with a construction person who was noting the numerous repairs that needed to be completed. When we got to our room, the hot water was not working and we requested a repair. They could not fix the problem so they switched us to another room. The next room we stayed in also had a hot water and water pressure problem so they switched us to a third room. The third room we went to had water that was too hot but we decided not to complain since we were only there for three nights and switching rooms was getting time consuming. Upon checkout we requested a late checkout from Cris who had been the person who we made aware of the water problems. Cris was unable to give us a late checkout knowing that we had to switch rooms several times. Not very accommodating! Next time we will stay at another Hotel in South Beach!

"Nice hotel across from beach"
The hotel was ok. They were in the middle of renovations. The staff was wonderful especially Lorenz I believe his name was. The beds were a lil uncomfortable but the rest of the suite was great. We didn't cook or anything but having the full kitchen was nice. I would definitely stay there again.

"Great location-needs some updating"
The room was ready as soon as I arrived. I have stayed there before a couple of years ago. Now the place seems to be falling apart. I had a leak in my closet. They said they fixed it but it returned the next day. The place just looked more run day then remember it. Hopefully they are planning on some major updates.

"Right in the middle of the beach life!"
The hotel was gorgeous and exhibited all the charm of South Beach. The room was clean and had a wonderful clean smell. Breakfast was ready every morning and I was greeted by the most efficient, polite, and charming employees I've every met at a hotel stay. Compliments to Alvaro (front desk) and Susanna (house keeping) as both of them were friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and ideas to spend our days there. Every one of the employees there were absolutely dedicated to our comfort and enjoyment while staying. We will be back ASAP.

"Perfect for the South Beach Triathlon"
Overall, our stay at the Bentley South Beach was good. There were several negatives, which had been compensated by a few positives. Negatives: (1) Valet is $30/day and the average wait time for your car is 45 minutes - call well in advance if you need the car. (2) The hotel is old and currently being renovated, maybe w/ the work the hotel will feel cleaner. (3) The restaurant downstairs, "Bellini" was good, but beware of what you're being served. As a guest at the hotel, you get 25% off, but that's on food only - they don't mention drinks are not included. And when we ordered a mojito, they didn't bother to ask what size, they just brought out the biggest drinks possible at $35 a pop. Positives: (1) GREAT complimentary continental breakfast from 7-11am in the lobby - coffee, yogurt, pastries, waffles, fruit, granola bars - enough to get your day started without spending $20/person at a restaurant nearby. (2) The front desk staff was wonderful - they tried to be as helpful as possible during our entire stay. Customer service always adds value in my opinion. (3) Location - can't really beat it if you want to be in South Beach on Ocean. It's near all the bars and restaurants but away from the loud/busy places like the Cleavelander, Wet Willies and Mango's so you can get some rest when you want it.

"Anniversary Getaway"
I booked another hotel previously and a few days before we left for the trip, found this hotel at a cheaper price. It is located right on South Beach. It is a really nice hotel. The accomodations were nice. I liked that the floors are tiled. The rooms are spacious. The room had a king bed, couch and two chairs. They may want to update there couch or clean it. I loved that the shower is tiled as well and had room for two. The hotel charged $30 day for parking. If we had known everything was in walking distance, we would not have rented a car from the airport and just got shuttle service. But we didn't have to wait long at all when we needed our car. They have superb customer service. The next time we travel to Miami, we will make sure we stay there again. Love Miami!

"Terrible experience"
The hotel is under construction , the pool is closed, the dust is all over , terrible noise from construction starts at 8am , they advertise that they have a private beach cross a street , in reality the beach is 6 blocks away from hotel. The location is great though and the room itself was clean, other than that , we were not able to relax there. Do not recommend !

"Nice hotel, needs updating, great location/staff"
The Bentley was a great choice for our trip to South Beach. The staff at the hotel was excellent! They were all incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the hotel could use a little updating (freshen up the trim around elevators, pool was under construction, two different toilets overflowed). Our room was very nice and perfectly clean and had views of the beautiful beach. It was great to have a full sized kitchen in the room and the room itself was fairly large. The hotel's private beach was a few blocks down, but the staff and service there was excellent as well. Each day you get beach passes which gets your lounge chairs, towels and an umbrella on the beach. The only major downfall of this hotel was the noise level because it is right on Ocean drive, but that is to be expected (especially since we were there during spring break for college students). I would recommend this hotel to anyone because of the excellent staff and their attentive service, the great location and accessibility to the beach, shopping and dining. If you are a college student looking for a spring break hotel this is a great option. If you are an adult or couple looking for a hotel with a great location and helpful staff, this is also a great option but be prepared for loud music and spring breakers at times.

"Nice hotel in a great location"
We arrived at the Bentley on Thursday evening. It's located right at the beginning of the Ocean Drive commotion. It's quiet, but seconds from insanity. The staff is very polite and helpful. We were shown to our room which was 2 doors away from the reception desk. My fiancé and I looked at each other thinking the exact same thing, it's going to be so loud. We were wrong. We barely heard anything during our 4 day stay. Our room was not huge, but definitely not small. We got a studio which had a full size fridge and a microwave. It had some sort if hot plate which we didn't touch. The bathroom was tiny, but we didn't mind. Our "garden view" was lacking. It was basically a view of a concrete courtyard. Our only problem was the pool and beach club. I'm not sure if the pool in their pictures is theirs or the hotel next door. What I do know is that their pool is closed at this time. They give you passes for the pool in the hotel next door. This pool is tiny, has dirty chairs, and nothing going on. There's an unused poolside bar. That being said, it's a decent option after baking at the beach all day. The beach club is a 1/2 mile walk down ocean. Keep in mind that this walk saves at least $20/person. You get tickets for free chairs (chairs are $20-30 person across the street from the hotel) They have a server that you can order food and drinks from. You also have a great view of cruise ships coming and going from the inlet. All in all we'd definitely stay at the Bentley again

The best part of the Bentley hotel is the friendly staff and they really communicate with you for service. It took a long time to check us in and we had to wait for our rooms. But they upgraded us and gave us beautiful rooms. Mine had a whole deck looking out on the ocean. That really made any little issue just go away and made up for what the hotel may not have had. The pool was under construction and you have to walk to the beach, but it was very boutique and I really liked staying there. Only complaint is they should have fresh fruit instead of packaged fruit and the air conditioning makes the room either too cold or too hot. Otherwise was very nice weekend!

"Nice hotel close to everything."
We enjoyed our hotel stay very much. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. There was construction going on, but we were unaffected. The hotel provides access to the beach that includes a padded lounge chair, beach towel and an umbrella. It's 4 blocks to the hotel's beach area, but worth the effort. The best part of our stay was the hotel staff. Maria and Luis were extremely helpful. They made great suggestions for dining and arranged wonderful affordable tours. We would definitely stay at the Bentley again! Our only complaint has nothing to do with the hotel...when walking on the hotel side of Ocean Dr., you run a gauntlet of young women hawking the cost of breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner. It is unending! It's much better to walk on the beach side of the street where you're not harassed and can actually see the beauty of the various hotels that is hidden by the many umbrellas covering the sidewalk tables.

"South Beach Downfalll"
For the price there's so many other options out there. It's just not the Bentley but all hotels in SB. It's not a family spot (stay in NB) so don't expect quiet, relaxing, hotels here. for the $25 resort fee I don't like the idea we had to walk 6 blocks to get to the hotel beach Lounge area used by the Hilton Bentley nor having to walk to the hotel next store to use their swimming pool and deck. Which by the way is a joke. It' dirty,small, and the photos on website aren't the same. For these reasons, the Resort Fee should be eliminated. The room was clean but we ended up canceling the 2nd nite. SB atmosphere and hotel wasn't for us. SB has gone downhill - go somewhere else!

-front entrance tucked away behind TGIFriday's and another restaurant - was hard to find at first -across from the beach but hotel's beach chairs and umbrellas are a 10-15 walk away -condition of the hotel is a bit older; currently being renovated but impeded the comfort of the stay -bathroom layout was very cramped, with no counter space for toiletries -room is very bare compared to photos on website -breakfast consists of yogurt, cereal, muffins, croissants, bagels and waffle maker -there was no safe in the room -hot water in the shower didn't work for the first night, but staff waived the resort fee for that night -overall, the hotel appears a lot nicer on the website, and I expected more from the "best boutique hotel in Miami", but it's probably among the best you'll get for the price range

They are renovating. Construction waking us up every morning. Overall very clean- accommodating staff- amazing location - beach rights with butlers. Great view at breakfast. Can't go wrong. Bring ear plugs ;)

"Misleading"
The room and grounds were old and needed a lot of work. The curtains and comforter had stains. The bathroom door had a hole where it looked as if someone had punched it in. The bathroom faucet stopped working at one point and I had to use the shut-off valve under the sink to stop the water flow. More frustrating was the fact that there was no pool due to construction. From what I saw, it will be a long, long time until the pool is available. The balcony overlooked a courtyard that was filthy and filled with construction equipment, so we didn't spend any time on our balcony. We were also charged a "resort fee" of $25/day, of which I received no explanation or warning when booking. The provided chairs, umbrella, and towels on the beach almost made up for this, but you have to walk 5 blocks to get to the area where this is provided. It really isn't that far, but it is a bit misleading.

We thought we booked Bentley Hilton!!! We were very disappointed, their is no reason to have multiple hotels with the same name a few blocks a part. We stayed 1 night and left, no comparing this to the Hilton Bentley.

"Hotel Under construction with no prior notice."
Ridiculous that the Bentley Hotel is under major construction with no disclosure of same from Expedia at any time during the booking process or leading up to arrival. There was a jack hammer being used in the room below ours from 9:30 am Saturday, hammering out tiles and cement. The hotel did nothing to address our complaints, I had to personally locate the foreman Fernando, on the 3rd floor, who subsequently agreed to stop the jack hammer for 1 hour so we could have some quiet to complete a project we needed to record. The rooftop pool is under construction and inaccessible. The water was turned off midday Saturday from 11:30 until 1:00 with no notice. Expedia is completely responsible for this as the hotel is claiming that all third parties were notified of renovations.

"Would have been nice to know they're remodeling"
A great location and nice staff, but for pretty steep rates and a resort fee we felt the pool should have been opened as it was advertised. It needs updating, but clearly they are working on that. We awoke each morning to construction noises and their music. Anytime during the day we came back to our room it was loud and unpleasant. I know that's a temporary thing, but we felt mislead. I think charging a resort fee on top of that was expecially unfair as there was no pool to visit.

"Noise and construction"
te n rooftop pool was being refurbished there was a tremendous amount of noise from 8:30 a.m. To 4:30 p.m. we were not informed that the rooftop was unavailable when we when we did the booking. the building was Art Deco but the decorations in the room were definitely not.

"Hard to find but nice"
The hotel is very hard to find, there is no visible sign . When we finally found it we were told to go to the second floor to check in....no early rooms so they held our luggage. When we came back and checked in the room itself was beautiful...very spacious. nice view...comfortable bed.

Terrible! Lot of noise and dirt, as they were renovating the hotel (and nobody wrote or told us that in advance). The pool was out of order. Borring breakfast. Dirty carpets. Problems as we wanted to check in. On the 2. day was our room not yet cleand and ready as we came back at 5 pm.! We were told that we get 25% discount by ordering in the restaurant below - we got 25% only on the salad!

The room was good .. But we had durt all over the floor from costruction they have on that floor... They should not ised that floor .. There was to much dust

"Place to just kick back"
At first, I was where am I. The pictures are a little dated from what it really is now. The halls are dark but however, the staff very nice. I was at the hotel just for a night in the morning Fefe was great she is a Darling called me the best Cab driver he was great. The room was very big the bathroom just the perfect size.

"Nice Hotel on Ocean Drive."
We have stayed here before and its a great place if you want to be on Ocean drive. Its very convenient to all the restaurants, shopping and nightlife of south beach. The rooms are kept in great condition and clean, and the price is right. The pool deck and sun deck seems to be in need of some upgrade and care. Overall a great place.

"Extremely bad customer service"
Me and my husband went to south beach for vacation and to enjoy the ocean. We reached a little earlier than the check in time . Maria at the reception said she would try to get the room ready earlier. When we asked that if we could go to the beach and if the chairs and umbrella would be available she said we will need to wait till we check in and then she would give us vouchers to go and use the beach facility . She was kind enough to give us towels and asked us to wait at the hotel pool and wait till rooms is ready. After waiting for over and hour I went to ask if room was ready or of I could get the voucher at least to go and enjoy the beach. The manager came out and rudely told me that I will not get the voucher even after our room is ready and we have checked in. He said I and my husband will have to wait till next day even after checking in to get the voucher for chairs and umbrella at the beach. I was shocked . One thing I can tell you I will never ever go to such a lousy hotel where the manager has no customer service skills.

"Great location on the main South Beach strip"
Stayed here for two nights with my wife - Friday and Saturday. The hotel is right in the heart of the action on the South Beach strip! There are several resturants right out the front door. The standard room was very roomy - with a separate kitchen, livingroom and bedroom. Pool on the roof is cool, and the beach is diretly across the street. The bed and couch were some of the most comfortable I have ever seen in a hotel - though the bed was very small (I dont even think it was a queen). If you are looking for a FUN place to stay, this is a great choice. You can hear the music from the strip untill around midnight - though I think that goes for almost any hotel on the strip.
