"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

Very clean and well kept. Comfortable and convenient. A good value for money if you want to be in mid town but don't need a big lobby or other amenities.
"Great weekend getaway!"
We had a wonderful stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand. The location was perfect, the room was very clean & the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Right near Grand Central Station which has a great market. WIthin walking distance of at least three different places to get morning coffee (one is right next door). We have absolutely no complaints and would […] definitely consider staying here again. Read more
"Charmingly quaint"
Lovely stay - clean, cozy and extraordinarily helpful and friendly staff. Room well appointed and perfectly clean. the only draw back was that it was small and tucked back in a corner with very little light or view. Would love to try again and look for a better room on a higher floor.
I found the decor depressing and the breakfast room ugly; the food was not good and overpriced.

"Just great!"
We were just thrilled with our stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central. Great location (if you're looking for midtown), nice service, clean room, super comfy bed, bigger room than expected. Seriously, not a single complaint. Highly recommended.
This hotel is convenient to Grand Central, yet quiet. The room and the bathroom were commodious and very well maintained and clean. I would definitely stay there again
"Affordable, But Poor Service"
My room serviced breakfast (made with powdered eggs) arrived cold, and with no silverware. The front desk staff is indifferent at best, distracted at the worst. Choose this hotel based on price alone.
"Quiet elegance"
My husband and I stayed one night and loved The Fitzpatrick's ambience-quiet, elegant. We wanted to be close to Grand Central Station, and it was perfect. Staff were very helpful, room service was prompt, bed was very comfortable, room and bathroom were spotless. The only negative was the TV is very small and we had no view, but for the price, an unbeatable […] stay. Read more

"Delighted"
With "no vacancy" at the Yale Club, my search took me to hotels.com. The Fitzpatrick was a delight. The location was perfect being on the Lexington Ave side of Grand Central Station. The service, comfort, and atmosphere were excellent.

"Very nice overall"
Like nearly every hotel I go to, a problem with the HVAC at first, but it was fixed quickly. Some outside noise from bldg system vent near my particular room, but not bad, most people would not notice ( I am very sensitive to noise). Staff extremely nice and responsive, hotel is very clean and comfortable.. My weekend price was very reasonable, esp. […] for being in middle of Midtown East. Read more

"My son and I at NYC for the Big East Tournament"
the weather was beautiful, we were able to walk to the Garden from the Hotel, everyone was helpful , we were given an upgrade immediately too help make our stay more comfortable. Will stay there again on my next trip to NYC, Grand Central Station was across the street and offered plenty of places to eat and shop, the surrounding neighborhood was safe […] and close to everything we wanted to visit. "Great location - helpful staff!"
Very convenient location across from Grand Central Station, walking distance to Rockefeller Plaza, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Empire State Building, Times Square. These were 15 to 30 minute walks and being across from Grand Central Station allowed us easy access to most everything we wanted to do. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was […] comfortable and the bottled water and chocolates each night were a nice surprise! Our room faced the street and it was noisy early in the morning with truck deliveries. Knowing this, I would request a room that did not look over the main entrance. Read more
Eureka! What a wonderful discovery! We enjoyed a very comfortable stay and we will return.

"Fitzpatrick Grand Central"
The stay was wonderful; the staff was outstanding and having The Wheeltapper on the property made the entire experience the best!
"I will be back!"
So clean and convenient. It was perfect for my visit to NYC! I will definitely be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Love This Hotel"
This is a great local hotel close to everything. We take the train to NYC so it's great to be so close to Grand Central Station. This is my second time staying at this hotel and we typically don't have to wait for our room even if we arrive early. I have stayed at many NYC hotels and this is one of the best for the value.
"surprisingly good"
The hotel is the best buy in this area. Very clean, quite some space in the room. Recommended!
"Good, but some issues"
Hotel was clean, location was fantastic (across the street from Grand Central). Room was tiny, views were awful. Handle on shower broke off. Hot water took about 10 minutes to kick in in the shower. Wireless internet was so cumbersome I was unable to connect at all. Wheeltapper pub was OK, but nothing special. Good deal for the price, but only because […] this is NYC. I expected more based on the reviews posted on hotels.com. Read more
"Nothing special here ..."
They charge a hefty fee per night per device for WiFi - Isn't this 2012? Rooms are pretty small - yes I know this is NY and that's the norm, just making sure you know the rooms are small. TV is a flat-screen about the same size as a monitor I had 5 years ago - weak Front desk service is nice but not very helpful - I couldn't get their WiFi to work […] (due to problems on their end) and asked the front desk to look into it and they never got back to me with a resolution. I had to track them down. Cleanliness and upkeep of the bathroom in the lobby was disgusting. Adjacent bar is cool and location is great. Overall it's nothing special and the pictures on the site make it look nicer than it is. Read more

"Great staff and location"
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - it's in a great location next to Grand Central Terminal, the room was very nice, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.
"A great choice!"
I stayed at this hotel for one night over the Christmas holiday. It's a very warm and friendly small boutique hotel. The lobby has the feel of a library. My room, furnished in a traditional style, was quite large with a very large bathroom and shower. The location--across the street from Grand Central--can't be beat. Staff were friendly and helpful. […] I would definitely stay here again. Read more
"Nice affordable hotel"
Stayed @ the Fitzpatrick Grand Central for a 2 night stay on a weekend...great small hotel that was affordable and close to everything...hotel staff was very courteous and helpful...room was nice, bathroom was nice, really no major complaints at all...the irish pub downstairs was nice also, had an irish coffee there one afternoon and breakfast there […] our last day which was good...only negatives were, one of the elevators was not in service and one of the phones in our room and the little small coffee maker in our room didn't work...which didn't really matter as there was a great french bistro for coffee and pastries 2 or 3 doors down...all in all, a comfortable stay, affordable for a weekend and would def recommend...esp good for theater goers, really short cab ride to the theater to see Lion King, and probably could walk if it wasn't so cold! "Great Stay"
This was the best hotel experience I have had in NYC....EVER!!! I am motivated to go back to the city now just knowing I will have a great place to sleep again. Thank you to all who work there, keep it up!
"Fitzpatrick at Grand Central"
One of the best hotels that I have every stayed in. It is about half a block from grand central and numerous restaurants and shops. If you're looking for food at any hour there is a pizza place a block away that is 24 hours and cheap. The room was a great size for being in Manhattan and decent price a night. The staff was helpful and always there if […] you need them. We asked for extra towels and received them within 2 minutes. We didn't have a room with a view, but didn't even matter because the room was great. Before you book another room somewhere else, call these guys up and book with them. When I come back to NYC i will stay here again without hesitation. Read more

Found the staff to be cordial and helpful. The interaction between the staff in the registration desk and the restaurant was excellent.
"Very nice"
Very pleased with my stay. Room was small, but I didn't need anything bigger. Price was right. Clean, comfortable. Staff was very nice.
"Comfortable place in a good location"
We stayed here for one day and found this place to be nice. They gave us 2 queen beds for no extra charge. This place is next to Grand Central, so we can visit any place in Manhattan by Metro or by walk. Only minor thing, non issue to most people is the bathroom doesn't have exhaust fan.

"Gem in Midtown"
This is a great hotel. Yes, rooms are small, but for Manhattan standards plenty of size. The location is extremely convenient being 1 block from Grand Central and a 6 block walk to Times Square. The rooms are very clean and our weekend stay was great. We would come back here in a heart beat. BTW - The pub next door is a great place for an afternoon […] or late night drink. Read more
