The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very helpful. I was happy with my stay, especially the complimentary internet which was quite strong and allowed me to get work done while on the road. Natali at the front desk really helped me out on a couple of occasions and went the extra mile.

Great hotel! My husband I stayed there during the first week of December and had a fantastic stay. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The bathroom is spacious (though no fan or hair dryer, though a great, warm towel warming rack) and has a shower curtain and double sinks. We had a very easy stay there. The only […] downside was the pricey breakfast; we felt 14Euros/person was way too much for the food offered (croissants/pastries, granola, bread, some sliced meats, cheese, fruit salad, coffee choices, scrambled eggs and sausage). We ended up going to a nearby boulangerie for a baguette and croissants and coffee for the rest of our breakfasts. Also, the location is so ideal for visiting the Grande Ile. It takes about 12 minutes to walk from the train station, and you can easily reach every corner of the island in 10 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel overall. Read more

What a charming little hotel! The staff was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. I happened to be there for a concert at the Zenith center, and the tram that takes you there is right outside the door. The Zenith center also coordinates events with the rail system so it doesn't close before you get home. Also, if you enter Strasbourg through […] the central train station you are only a few stops away on the tram. The area the hotel is in is blocked to most traffic, and drivers in that area must raise a gate to enter, so if you've rented a car take note. The hotel room itself was a little small, and the king bed is two beds pushed together, but that seems to be the standard all over Europe. The best part of this hotel is the location. It is right in the center of a pedestrian area filled with shopping and restaurants on cobblestone streets. Read more

This hotel is in a very good location. A bit of noisy since the light rail train runs in front of it. Staff are very friendly and helpful and their English is also very good. The room is small but not so bad. I loved their breakfast. Good amount of choices for you and service was good too. I will definitely stay again if I go there.

We were here only one night so needed convenience and ease of access to train station as well as easy opportunity to quickly see some of the sights. Two tram stops from train station was perfect. Many nice restaurants nearby; good recommendation from hotel for a restaurant for dinner. Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect for our needs.

The hotel is conveniently located in the center of town. Perfect for attending the Marche Noel. Our one problem was finding it - in fact it took us several hours to find it. The Hotel should be aware that the instructions on GPS systems to drive to the hotel are not correct. When we called the hotel to get further directions we were given another street […] - which according to our GPS system, did not exist at all. As it turns outm the hotel is located on a Pedestrian street that is not accessible by car. Another issue was that the hotel advertises parking, but in reality, they only have 8 parking spaces. The confirmation from the hotel could easily note these points and give drivers accurate directions. Overall we loved our stay there - it has a nice old world charm! Thank you! Read more

The lobby and decor were really nice when you come to see the hotel. Once in your room your a little disappointed. The decor is older but still in nice shape. The location of the hotel is really nice. We were on the top floor so there wasnt the noise from the train that goes by every 20 minutes.

We stayed four nights at the Maison Rouge while on a visit to Strasbourg. It turned out to be a great hotel - easy walking distance to all the sights in the city, and close to shopping and dining options. Room size was great, with full-size bathtubs. Additionally, the hotel offers a great (although expensive) breakfast option every day.

No air-conditioning, can get hot when it gets warm outside especially on the top floor. No one would tell you that the hotel has parking unless you specifically ask. Can get noisy in front of hotel at night, as some hooligans party and the hotel staff doesn't even call police claiming that police wont do anything anyway.

We actually booked a regular double room, but we were upgraded to the deluxe double room without asking. The room was large and comfortable. The things that we did not like about this hotel: the front desk clerk spoke to us in French when we only speak English (I know this is France, but it is also a hotel), the floors were filthy (my feet were black […] from the dirt), the hotel was under construction (so if you want to get a nap during the day you will have to sleep through the hammering), and breakfast was not included. There were also a lot of annoying pictures of palm trees in our room which we never could figure out what that had to do with France. The things that I liked about this hotel: we weren't required to get the extremely overpriced breakfast, the hotel was not far from the train station, the rooms were large and the temperature was easily controlled by opening the windows, the hotel had an elevator, and we also had a nice hot shower (by far the best shower out of the 4 hotels that we stayed at in Europe with a constant water temperature and adequate water pressure). The construction noises stopped at night so we did get a good night's rest. Overall, this place felt very safe and comfortable. I was very pleased with the value, and I would recommend. Read more
