I have lost 500 dirham worth of women accessories in the room while attending the breakfast in the morning. I came to Canada shortly after that and didnt realize if things were missing...after noticing my things were not where I put them to be I phoned the hotel receptionist and ofcourse its not their fault they said!!!! This was the perfect weekend hotel. It's a bit far from the airport but that's ok. The Irish Pub in the basement and the Japanese Sushi bar on the 5th floor were high points in my weekend there. Very happy with my overall experience. The staff was also very helpful with everything I asked them. Only problem was the bed was really hard.

Rather than renovating their rooms it appears as though the build the Royal Ascot next door and kept the Ascot pretty much as it was with maybe a light upgrade of TVs to LCD. Overall was disappointed especially after coming from the Alhamra Hotel hotel for less which was light-years nicer. This is a value hotel and in now way luxury. You get what you […] pay for (or less). Staff was friendly but had to stand for my rights in order to get the advertised free internet. I made the my booking & paid for my stay over the internet, when I arrived at the airport I phoned them to let them know I have arrived and double check my booking they told me they dont have my details down as a guest and after 10min they located my details somewhere on the system. The other issue the air/con made more noise than it delivered cool […] air, the came to my room 4 times and they still could'nt improve its performance nor its temperature. It appears that this is the best the a/c can do, by the last visit I had the impression that this is the normal performance of the a/c...disappointing to say the least. In addition to that I have requested access for the internet service and paid for it at 09:15am in the morning they till about 11am I had a couple of visits from their maint. staff but nothing was achieved, I came back to my room at 03:30 and another visit was made by maint. staff and finally by 04:00pm I was on line... Not great at all.the staff quite cold and give the impression to not really know what they are doing, housekeeping forgot to renew my toilet paper so i rang reception and waited 1 HOUR until someone came!!! I was above the bar so had music until 2.30 am and then had the cleaners vacuuming outside my door at 8 am. Seriously choose another hotel!!

Overall the hotel was very good -reasonable value for the charges involved & within waliking distance of the Creek. However, there is one very big negative about the hotel. This is that Internet access --even with your own computer is ridiculously expensive. Why cannot a hotel of this stature & cost NOT provide free Internet access?

We have stayed at this Hotel on 5 occassions whilst returning to UK from Australia and always find it comfortable, the breakfast is first class and the staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. With a choice of restaurants on site there is no need to leave the Hotel when on a stop-over. The roof top pool is excellent as well.

The Ascot is adjacent and connected to it's big brother, the Royal Ascot. Although they are managed by the same company, they are two separate hotels. The benefits of staying at the Ascot is that you can use all the facilities located in the Royal Ascot free of charge while enjoying a cheaper nightly rate. My room was extremely comfortable and spacious, […] albeit a little dark. There was only a small window that did not receive direct sunlight, and there were no ceiling lights. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, and the mini bar was adequate. The wireless is quite cheap (60 AED for 24 hours) but the signal strength can vary in intensity. The decor is slightly dated and plain, but for the value and location this is an outstanding bargain. The breakfast buffet is fine - nothing special but satisfying. The only thing I'd recommend are additional sockets in the room (there was only one in my room) and ceiling lighting. Also, the bar, Waxy's, on the ground floor can be quite loud on weekend nights, so if that is a concern you should ask for a room on a higher floor. Read more

De ordner f. eks. avhenting på flyplassen hvis man ringer og avtaler på forhånd. Raskeste og billigste måte å ferdes rundt i Dubai er med metroen. Das Ascot Hotel ist die Wurzel des danebenliegenden Royal Ascot Hotel und mit selbigen verbunden. Zwar ist das Hotel bereits 30 Jahre alt (weswegen vermutlich auch das Royal Ascot gebaut wurde) und man merkt es dem Haus an kleinen Stellen an, doch alles in allem ist es vollstens in Ordnung und Sauber! Das Zimmer war gross. Zwar ging der Ausblick seitlich […] auf das Royal Ascot, doch da aufgrund der Sonne (und 44 Grad Aussentemperatur) sowieso moeglichst wenig Waerme ins Zimmer kommen sollte, blieb der Vorhang verschlossen. Mein Zimmer lag in der dritten Etage, weswegen ich mich meinen Vorschreibern nicht anschliessen kann, dass das im Erdgeschoss befindiche Irish Pub mich um die Nacht gebracht haette. Das Fruehstuck gab alles her, was ein Buffet haben sollte, allerdings sahen einige Sachen nicht mehr allzu frisch aus. Doch die Auswahl ermoeglichte einen einfach Wechsel auf andere Leckrigkeiten. Besonders hervorheben kann ich die Tatsache, dass ich bereits um 7am auf mein Zimmer konnte, weil mein Flug bereits um 4:30am angekommen war. Read more
