Villa Diodoro Hotel - Taormina

Loved the stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Views from my balcony was to die for. Breakfast buffet can improve, other than that had a great time.

We had 13 people in our group and each person had their needs met. The view from our balcony was grand and the grounds were beautiful. Particulalry by the pool. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous. We would stay again!

Stayed there for three nights and was not pleased. Extremely noisy at night. Was awakened every night in the 3 AM to 5 AM timeframe. Other noise starts around 6 AM, so don't plan on sleeping late ! Room was close to front desk and office room which had some apparent late night activity. Bathroom had the oder of an open sewer. Parking lot was crowded […] with no to few available spaces. Spent two weeks in Sicily and stayed at several hotels all of which were quieter, provided overall good comfort and were much, much less money. Only hotel where we couldn't get a nights sleep. Save your money and stay in Naxos ! Read more

We were two couples staying at the hotel after a two week Northern Italy tour that ended in Venice. When we arrived we were told that due to full bookings, the only two rooms available were old and not in very good condition. They were very sorry and offered us two rooms at their other 5 star hotel down the road. We didn't want to go to another hotel, […] we wanted to stay at the Villa Diordoro thats why we booked their. It was late and we were tired so we decided to look at the two rooms. They were correct, the rooms were not up to their better standards. They were no better then rooms at a one star hotel. The rooms were very old, small but clean. The bathrooms were old and in need of an up grade. The shower in my room was so small that it barely fit one person. Since we booked our stay 7 mo's ago they knew that we were very upset over this and we told them so. We told the hotel mgr that this was our 2nd time we stayed at the hotel which he knew. We felt that they had to do something to offset this problem that would make us happy. Since we would not go to their other hotel, they agreed to pick up all of our extra expenses for our 6 day stay plus they included a dinner and lunch. We felt that this was very fair and we will return to the Hotel Villa Diordoro the next time we vacation in Taormina. Read more

The Villa Diodoro Hotel was lovely, with large comfortable rooms, updated bathrooms, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, and off-street parking. The staff (especially Raquel/Rachel at the front desk and Carmelo, the waiter on the terrace and lounge) was helpful and friendly. We liked it so much that we stayed an extra night!

We were one of four couples staying at the hotel. we found all rooms and amenities to be of a very high standard. The swimming pool was huge and very enjoyable in the heat. the views down the coast and Mt Etna were amazing from our balcony. All the other couples commented that it was a good choice!!

We drove into town.Yyou might as well dump your GPS/instructions, etc and just follow the hotel signs which are prominently posted everywhere. Parking is free, and check-in was very smooth and quick. Hotel was in a fantastic location, nice short walk to main street. Although the hotel is a little outdated in design, it is clean, comfortable and the staff are excellent. We stayed here in October 2011. The hotel is in Taormina so is close to the Greek theatre and the town centre and looks out onto the sea. The hotel staff were charming and helpful, and our superior room had a lovely view of the bay and Mont Etna. The hotel has a comparitively large swimming pool which is unheated but big enough to actually swim in. The photos on the website are better than the actual hotel - to be fair this should be qualified as the pool and bar areas are better than the photos with a stunning view and lovely helpful service. The dining and internal areas are a bit tired and the bedrooms ? The photos on the site are def not of a standard bedroom. The bathrooms was huge the rooms […] space was tiny in fact the bathroom was probably bigger or as big as the bed space basically with two twin beds we had to step on and off the bed to get round. The hotel seems more geared to conference business than tourism and whilst the restaurant staff were helpful any of the pre booking information agreed with the reception was ignored so basically I felt like I had wasted my time communicating with them. I really am a no complainer type normally but I love my holidays and work really hard for them moreover I had taken my Mum who is 73 - she is the age where treats like this are really important and I feel like the hotel let us down. Perhaps our expectations were too high ? Don't let it put you off Sicily though its a great place and good for a long weekend and if your on the type of trip where your hardly in your room then the price and location and good breakfast and views from the common areas should be enough for you to book this hotel. We keep an eye on the old and new hotels in the town but haven't found one to match the all-around amenities of the Diodoro. Pretty much every year we return to the Diodoro for our holiday in Taormina in late August and early September. Si vous êtes reelement dans villa diodoro hôtel est magnifique si on vous donne une chambre dans la villa giula accroche a l hôtel juste en dessous il faut partir en courant. Il n y a pas de clim les chambres sont infiltre d' eau et sente très mauvais. Ruhig und trotzdem sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel an Taorminas bester Lage mit einmaliger Aussicht. Vorallem der Blick aus dem Restaurant und vom Pool aus sind einzigartig. Frühstücksbuffet sehr schön mit grosser Auswahl.

Das Hotel Diodoro liegt nahe am Ortskern, direkt an der Ortsumfahrt -Einbahnstraße- direkt daneben ist ein wunderschöner Park. Balkon mit Tisch und Sesseln mit Blick auf Meer und den gut gepflegten Garten am Hang. Das Restaurant war auch sehr gut von den Hotelgästen frequentiert, Essen war sehr fein, gehobene Küche.
