"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Comfort and a warm fireplace"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had been having a lot of rain and really just wanted to go home! But upon checking into The Hotel, we were so comforted by the staff, especially Tasha and her tour of the lovely amenities. She served us drinks and made us comfortable in front of the warm fireplace and we said "Ahhh". The room was large with a lovely view, the bed very comfortable and the dinner superb. The staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful, thanks, we'll be back!
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!

This hotel, although located a ways out of the main part of the city, is lovely and our stay was terrific. We could easily catch a cab into the city of have Patrick take us in the Four Seasons Courtesy vehicle. The entire staff was always aready to serve and made sure we had everything we needed to make the most of our stay. The one thing that was a minor drawback was

"Good value, great location Dublin"
We returned to Camden Court following a break of many years, for a one night stay. The hotel is still great, comfortable, welcome and good value. The free car parking is an excellent advantage and not that easy found in Dublin. We had forgotten how close it was to walk from the hotel into the shopping and social areas of the city. The short route from […] the hotel is now littered with restraurants and about 10 minutes puts you in the Temple Bar area. I was pleased with the offer we got when booking this stay. It was good value and yet another good experience in a hotel that has never let us down yet. Read more
"Camden Court Dublin"
Great location city center. Walking distance to Grafton Street, Stephen's Green. Great pub right next door, The Bleeding Horse. Nice pool, and bar/restaurant in lobby.
"Excelletn hotel"
I cannot think of a single negative. The indoor pool and fitness center is a real plus.

"Sleepless in Dublin"
The pool was the best part of our stay at Camden Court Hotel. A few loud people in the hot tub but it did not affect the pool itself. Good locker room with dressing area and showers etc. Need to wear swim caps (even men) WARNING: do not get a room facing the front of the hotel. The energy exhibited by the bar patrons was remarkable not only for the […] loud noises they produced but especially for their endurance in sustaining a high decibel level for almost the entire night. Our request for a quiet room for our second night produced a room that actually looked like the room in the hotel brochure , faced the rear of the hotel and was very pleasant. The pub connected to the hotel lobby was a poor choice for a meal. The server was friendly as only the Irish can be but don't even think about eating here as we have experience school cafeteria food that was tastier and better presented, Mabe a drink here would be OK. Wish the hotel employees at the front desk had been more friendly and helpful with directions and travel help. Read more
"Camden Court Hotel"
The exterior and the lobby were lovely, but we were very disapointed once we got to our room... it was rather shabby. The carpet was very worn and the furniture and drapes tired. The hotel has started to remodel rooms, but have not updated the family rooms (accommodations for three or more)... so while the pictures of the rooms on the website were bright […] and modern it was not at all representative of our room. Also, our room overlooked a busy, noisy street which kept us awake at nights. Read more
"Very Nice"
Hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful. Our room was warm though and there is no air conditioning. A cab driver told us they don't need it really. We had to keep our window open and the noise from the bar on the corner was very loud until 3am. Overall a very nice stay though.
"Excellent Location"
This hotel satisfies all the needs of the personal and business traveler. The only drawbacks are that ther are a lot of tour groups that stay here and the hotel is on the fringes of a "funky" neighborhood. Other than that, i wouodnstay her again.
"Very Enjoyable"
We stayed for 2 nights at the Camden Court Hotel. The hotel was very nice, very clean and very comfortable. The folks at the front desk were extremely helpful with making phone calls, getting information about buses, shows, etc for us. There was no air conditioning in our room so we had to leave the windows open at night which allowed us to hear some […] of the noise from the street. But for the most part, we were able to roll over and go back to sleep. The hotel was close enough to the shopping but a bit far from Temple Bar area. All in all- we were very pleased with the hotel and would be happy to stay there again! Read more

Nice hotel, in a safe neighborhood, could walk to most major attractions.

"Pretty good hotel"
Camden Court hotel was a decent place to stay in Dublin. The staff was very helpful. Our room was clean and the location is not too bad (close to St. Stephens Green and Trinity College). It is a bit far from the main bus/train stations. The breakfast was too overpriced for our taste and the hotel charged us for connection fees on collect calls. I wasn't […] too happy about that, but given the positives of the hotel, I'd still recommend it. Read more
"Camden Court - walkable to the best of Dublin"
Had a great stay here. Can't beat the room rate for the great location! Within 10min walk of Temple Bar, Trinity College, Marion Square, Grafton/O'Connel streets, and River Liffey. The Bleeding Horse Pub directly in front of the hotel is a good spot to close out the night too. Free parking during your stay is also a huge bonus.
"Good value"
Happy with our stay here, close to everything at a very reasonable price. Clean rooms, friendly staff. The only negative was the absence of the requested 4 am wake up call!
"Had a great time!"
Wish the hotel had a clock or alarm clock in room. The Bleedy Horse Pub next door is great fun! Ask about the pool hours when checking in. They didn't tell us that the pool is closed on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7-8pm for water aerobics. Our 11 yr old son wasn't too happy! Bring a bathing cap or they will make you buy one.
Great location as a base for walking to most sights for the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although I would say the walls are kind of thin. One night I could hear my "neighbour" snore. I would come back and stay again.
"St. Paddys in Dublin"
The hotel was wonderful! The only problem we had was getting there. Due to the parade route set up the night before the event and all the one way, bus lane and no right/left turn signs it took us over an hour to get parked at the hotel. The good news was once we finaly made it and parked we didn't need to drive again until we left.
"Great Location/Large Room"
We loved the location and just a 10 minute walk to the central shopping area. There are also great restaurants right near the hotel and so many nice shops and even some really great thrift/ Charity shops that I would recommend. The staff was so helpful and the spa is wonderful. They also have free wifi in the rooms and lobby and that's so helpful. […] The room was incredibly large with three double beds (great if you are traveling with 6 friends or family members.) Read more
"Camden Court Hotel-great staff and good location"
We found the location of the Camden Court Hotel to be very good. We were withing walking distance to Trinity College and the Temple Bar area. We also were about a ten minute walk from the nearest Hop On-Hop Off bus stop. We found the staff, especially Agnes at the front desk, to be very helpful in providing information, make reservations for tours, […] and arranging for taxi service. This was important to us because six of us were travelling together. We would definitely stay at the Camden Court Hotel again and would recommend it to all. Read more
"Camden Court Hotel - excellent"
We found Camden Court Hotel to be an excellent hotel, and we will stay there again. The swimming pool was a success with the 7 yr old. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. The rooms was big, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. If it was up to us, this hotel should have 4 *, the 4* we stayed […] in, in O'Connell Str., after Camden Court Hotel was NOT as good. Read more

"Nice appearance, poor execution."
We reserved a room with a King bed... but instead we were presented with two double beds (made separately and pushed together). The comforters were simply laid atop. There was a huge dip between the mattresses, making it impossible to sleep close to my girlfriend.
Hotel was perfectly located. Lobby and hotel amenities were very nice. The room on the other hand was average.

"Needs Improvement"
No hot water for showering.
"Staff Not Responsive"
From the moment we got into our room we knew it would not be right for us. It was located immediately above the Hotel Entrance and the smoking area. When we called to complain, the on duty persons said they would handle it. Looking out the window no one came out of the Hotel. They told us there were no more rooms available at the time we moved in...BUT […] we said we would be willing to change the next day when we knew people in our group were leaving. They still insisted there were no vacancies. We were kept up most of the night by people talking, laughing, smoking, eating. Additionally we complained that the heating system in our room was too hot. They told us to turn the thermostat. After we did, the heat was still hot and then it was made worse because if we opened the window we heard more from outside! Read more
"Meets the 3 star rating"
great service but rooms need improvement. Quite noisy at night and walls were thin. We had drunk people through the night!
"Needs Improvement"
The lobby of this hotel is lovely, but that's about it. The rooms are barren and uncomfortable. The lighting is awful. I couldn't believe the look of the room after seeing the lobby and the price per night. The location was ok; it was about a 10 minute walk to St. Stephen's Green. There is a nice pub next door which is great for late night meals. The […] hotel room was unbearably warm and the window only opens a few inches (and the noise outside makes you want to close it anyway). The dishes that they left for tea were dirty and stained. There is no porter, so don't expect anyone to help with your luggage. I would definitely find another place to stay for the money. Read more
"Nice hotel in city center"
This was a very nice, clean and roomy hotel in city center Dublin. There's a nice pub right next to it (The Bleeding Horse pub), which has some great pub food. Hotel was a 2.20 Euro bus fare away from the Dublin (DUB) airport and is a 5-10 minute walk from the very touristy Grafton street and Trinity College. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. […] I would definitely stay here again. Read more
"Good Value"
A very nice hotel and good value given Dublin's high costs. A great pub next door but due to sports events a bit noisy, especially Saturday night. Expensive eating but lots of choices nearby. Had to take a short cab ride most days to get to the real downtown areas.

"rooms were a huge disappointment"
Lovely lobby, restaurant, and leisure center (pool). However, rooms were below par, one of the worst I have stayed in. Very 80s, basic, scratched paint, hard bed, bad shower.... not enjoyable experience. The price was good and location close to all.
"Great Hotel"
Very friendly staff, great hotel.
"will use again"
great location plenty of parking nice clean hotel basic room but very clean excellent staff.

"Steam room Sauna and workout are great"
Stayed in Family room. Recommend for Pool, spa, and bare bones room and price point. Had a nice / pleasant visit at hotel. Breakfast was fine. Room was very clean but comfort rating was low due to bed being firm, no movie channels on TV and just small chairs to sit in. The pool, steam room and Sauna are great! Bring swimming cap or buy there for […] 2.50 Euro. Read more
"Good Family sized room"
Booked last minute and arrived very late. Very happy with the size of the room and the helpful service. Very good pool and gym in the hotel.

"PRETTY GOOD HOTEL"
We were very pleased with the hotel, location was great, cleanliness was great, our only problem was when we requested ice/ extra sugar, milk for coffee. One night we never got it at all and another night we needed to call three times. Other than that the place was excellent and we would recommend it highly. The breakfast was very good and when we did […] have room service, the food was excellent. PLUS it has free parking for those of you renting a car as there is no where to park in Dublin. Read more
"Will definitley come back"
Only there for one night. Service was great, the food was really good. Slight technical issue with the free wi-fi but it was sorted quickly.
"Dated rooms in need of modernisation"
It was a nice hotel but the rooms are in need of modernisation - very dated
"a solid choice"
Good customer service. Nice pool. Rooms a bit hot. can be very loud if room on street side.
